The worst thing?
In my army days, when my skin was really bad, my father's friend commented "Oh dear, your acne is really bad, just like your father" in front of my parents. I don't really care about what other people think/say about my acne, but my parents have been blaming themselves for it (4 children, all have acne to some degree). Just having someone saying it to them simply reaffirm this fear and made them feel even worse about it.
Well, this isn't exactly a direct insult, but I found it incredibly ignorant.
My friend was helping out at a theatre camp for 3rd to 8th graders. They write their own plays. One of their plays was called "The Origin of Ugly People." In the play, there's a group of girls whose parents won't let them eat chocolate because they'll get acne. However, the girls don't care, so they run off to the woods and eat chocolate all day, consequently ending up with acne. And that, according to the play, is how ugly people evolved. Lovely. Needless to say, the audience hated the play.
Holy crap, I have pretty bad skin, but this makes me laugh. "Fuck you mom, I'm totally gonna get me some pimples! Bring on the chocolate!"
How do they think this shit up?
I remembered another one.... I remember getting my first zits in like 4th grade... and I think only on my chin..but didn't actually turn to acne until like 8th grade but anyway...
while in 4th grade (I'm 23 now) I was sitting in class trying to cover up my chin where I had two bright red zits that were next to eachother and the kid sitting in front of me (I still remember his name) said.....
"It looks like you got shot with a stapler!!!"
I just told him to shut up... then I think I actually started to laugh cause he was...it was SO long ago... I can't believe I actually remember that.... kinda makes me laugh...
"is that poison ivy on ur face?".. didnt really bother me cause it was my little cousin and it was before it got really bad. hence the name. i get poisen ivy all the time tho just never on my face when i play paintball.
"why dont you pop that sucka?"
it was huge...
"omg look at ur face."
"damn its good to be beautiful"
looking at me thinking i was out of range- used to be meh best friend too...
"you have hundreds of little tiny bumps all over your face."
the thing that sucks is that most of these comments have come from ppl whom i thought were my close friends..
yea probably, but not by much. I get absolutly no attnetion from girls becuase I dont look good. I think guys who arent super attractive have it pretty hard too. Their pressured to look good or else girls will completely ignore them...

i agree with ya man. girls pretty much ignore me now.. acne has made it tough. girls can at least cover some of it with makeup.
one day, was feeling amazing, had just got my hair cut and got a blonde streak down the middle. wicked! my brother looks at me and says 'now you just gotta get rid of all your spots and you'll look good'.
how fucking nice eh? i cant even pass it off as childhood innocence, considering he's 20.
I've had acne for about a year. Nothing has been said to me that really hurt my feelings in front of my friends or anything, but my younger sister sometimes pisses me off. (you know how sibilings are) Well what I was really going to say is don't let acne ruin your life. I know it may feel like the owrst thing thats happened to you, but trust me its not. I have a really close group of friends and then a lot of other people I know who like me because I just be myself. A litlle makeup can hide most of the acne on your face and then your good to go. Guys seriously, dont let acne control your life. Lifes too short.......
When I was in high school a group of older guys used to pick on me. They gave me clearisil or something for christmas one year. Hilarious. They made my life miserable and were always making nasty comments and staring at me. They graduated before I cleared up from accutane.
I saw them at a bar about six years or so after they graduated. Their jaws hit the floor. My skin was perfect, I had no scarring, and I was hot. They hit on me all night and seemed to forget that they had tortured me in high school. I let them buy me drinks all night and didn't even bother to bring up what assholes they were. Living well is the best revenge!
I'm broke out and on accutane again, but fuck it, I'm still hot!
My mother just told me today to take a laxative. Good one mother! I've gotten the chicken pox comment. I haven't seen my grandmother in two years because she just makes her comments and starts pulling her special rattlesnake tale lotion potion or some other crap, swearing that it'll cure my acne. My aunt gasped one time when she saw me and said, "you've gotten so many pimples." A guy made a comment within a group of friends about my acne and another looked in disgust and said that he always made sure to wash his face and put alcohol on it. I hope the isopropyl irritates his face so bad that he won't know what hit 'em! One time at work, I was on my break with a group of people, and this old and fat loser, who nobody knew, 'cuz he was new, made a comment, as he laughed, about what I classify as the biggest zit in my life. He was like, "Man, who hit you so hard?" He cackled like it the funniest thing! The f#ck-up didn't last a week at that job, for which I'm glad! Besides all this, I get the usual stares.

She told you to take a laxative?! How is that supposed to help acne?
"such a shame on such a pretty girl" - my dermatologist
"you would be so pretty but your pimples", "they have lasers for that now", "your makeup makes it look worse", "your acne is worse than the kind your mom used to get" - my uncle
"do you have the chicken pox?"- people at school
"I noticed you have lots of acne, do you take vitamins?"- stranger at wal-mart
"I noticed you have lots of acne, do you take vitamins?" - stranger at wal-greens
"I would touch your face but I noticed you have acne"- some guy
"have you been to a dermatologist about your acne?" - various strangers
"I never thought your acne would get this bad"- boyfriend
"How did you get acne? Your parents never had that problem... That's why I tell my son to always wash his face."- an aunt
"what are all those spots on your face"- some kid
I know they were just being honest and just trying to help. The stares always made me feel really bad, and the fact that my dad would get so upset about my skin that he would almost break down into tears. It wasn't the people, it was just the situation that bothered me the most.

Wow that's rough sorry to hear that
