To actually answer fatalalbert's question, the list of things i would do is too long to type. I think the first would be to go to all the asses who commented on my skin and be like LOOK AT ME NOW!!! That would feel amazing...

In my opinion, before I had acne I would consider myself 10x happier than I am now. Did I find other things that I could probabaly fix? Yes, but at the same time those things aren't nearly as life altering as my acne/marks is for me. I can't speak for everyone but for myself personally when my acne and acne marks are gone I KNOW I'm going to be a much happier more confident person! When this day comes I'm gunna be sooo happy!! Then as I stated beofre ill pee my pants with joy!

The fact that you even asked this question shows that once your acne is gone you will fixate on something else...I bet you that within weeks you will find something wrong with your appearance, or just something in your life, doesn't matter how 'insignificant' it is. You will work to fix it. Once that's fixed there'll be something else to worry about. Maybe you've become overweight, you started losing hair, you have cellulite, stretchmarks, a mole on the top of your head, whatever. And so on and so on. This will go on 'till you reach old age or up until you die.

I honestly don't think this is true for me. During periods of clear skin, I have flourished and felt very healthy and happy. During the last period of clear skin that I had, that was when I began learning hula hooping. It was a very exciting time in my life.

Also, I am perfect physically, aside from my skin problem. lol Well obviously that's a matter of opinion. I just mean that when I look in the mirror, if it wasn't for my skin I'd be like DAMN GIRRRLLLL YOU FINE!

Maybe God gives me my skin issues to keep me from being too vain. I'm not sure. I just wish the good could somehow balance out the bad. I don't look at my perfect abs or tight butt and think "well, this makes up for my face." I instead think that it's pointless to be beautiful in any other way if you dont have clear skin. Like a perfect painting with black sludge thrown all over it. sad.png I know it doesn't have to be that way, but that's the tendency of my mind. Like all beauty sits on the basis of clear skin and without that, nothing else is of any use.

I don't think that clear skin is the benchmark of beauty. It's not an embedded physical feature, like the shape of your nose or the colour of your eyes. I'm sure your acne will go away eventually, it's rare that someone has acne throughout their whole life. Acne is so common, almost everyone deals with it at least once. 99% of girls who have acne wear make up to hide it, I think that's what gets most people down, because they think everyone else around them has perfect skin, similarly to people in the media.

Yeah it's so true! I do like makeup but most times at work I don't wear any. I always feel so bad about my skin. But lately I've been looking closely at the other girls at work and a few of them have acne too. They just wear layers of foundation every day so it's hard to tell. It makes you wonder how many other people actually do have it. I know cases as severe as mine was are pretty rare. But I think a lot of people probably have it mildly.
