Pros:

*The first thing that has noticeably and consistently worked for me.
*Fairly easily accessible

Cons:

*Needs to be high quality
*Takes time to work (or it did for me)
*Not an instant cure, give it at least a month
*None that outweigh having clear skin!

I have fought with acne since I was 12, but at 18 it basically exploded. For the last 3 years I have tried to kick this thing but have had no real success. Improvement started when I began using flaxseeds (also containing omega 3) and with the addition of fish oil about 3 months ago, the difference is truly remarkable. My skin has continually gotten better, and my nearly severe acne and horrid skin quality is now almost normal looking. I started with less and upped the dosage to the current 4 1000mg pills per day, though I may raise this as it seems to do only good. My skin is still not perfect, but with these pills and eating oily fish several times a week my skin is better than I can remember. My scars heal with time and although I still get some tiny blackheads and little white pimples in my trouble areas, I am fully confident that I will soon be acne free. It is worth noting that this did take time, and was not an amazing, clear-in-one-week, instant cure though this may be because my hormones are particularly out of whack. Make sure that it is a high quality fish oil. Although they are cheaper, basic ones from drug stores may be just that; cheap. Try to find something from a natural foods store that is of a better quality and I think it makes a big difference (I take wild Alaskan salmon oil). I also eat very healthy so that may also help, but bottom line: this has worked for me and virtually cleared me of years of acne and acne scars. Well worth a try I'd say!

Pros:

Freaking amazing, I can't begin to say how much I love this stuff.

I take 2 a day, 1000MG Each.

Improves my mood, I notice I am much happier after taking these.

My hyperpigmentation is going away, not amazingly fast, but its very noticeable that they are going away, and its only been..14 days or so? Probably less.

HUGE reduction in pimples, use to get 2 or 3 a day, now I get one every...4 days? I just got my first one in 4 days last night.

Cons:

None, I don't even have those "Fish burps" that people mention.

Buy it 100%.

Pros:

healthy
reduces inflamation
good to skin

Cons:

a little expensive
doesn't eliminate acne

I eat fish oil every day and it has helped my skin a lot. My skin is not clear, but the fish oil prevents zits to grow enormous. It calms down infection in the skin. I also noticed that I have become a little more happy after I started eating the oil, but then again - who knows if that is the reason..

Pros:

Healthy to take
Good for fading acne scars

Cons:

This was really the first product that I've tried (and I've tried alooooot of products over the years) that has made me breakout. I was disappointed after reading some of these reviews.

If it doesn't break you out then I would highly recommend it. Even if it doesn't help your acne, it's still healthy to have daily.

Pros:

skin less oily (not dry either, even in upstate NY weather), red marks/hyper-pigmentation is noticeably fading, no more new acne!

Cons:

well, there is some new acne -- but while I usually get nasty pimples that leave horrible marks on my cheeks, I have had ZERO!! I have gotten a pimple here and there (although, it is that time of the month) but they are much less scary

About a year and a half ago I went through a "eat a tuna wrap everyday" phase, which lasted about 4 months -- my skin was at its absolute best, but I just assumed it was because I was eating better in general. Once I got to college I stopped the whole tuna thing and my skin got progressively worse. I never thought it was the tuna though! It took me about a year to realize, after reading these fish oil reviews, that THAT was a major contributor to my clear skin. About two weeks ago I started taking three fish oil pills a day (2 in the morning, 1 at night). Now, I also take 1 multivitamin a day and 1 Vitex morning and night. I'm a big fan of supplements and holistic medicine, so I am loving this natural route to (hopefully) cure my acne.

Pros:

Smooth soft skin, improved mood

Cons:

none

I have suffered from dermatitis on my face. I began taking fish oil as my skin was very dry. I take 9+ pills a day. My skin is no longer dry, and the dermatitis is far less severe than it was. It appears very rarely and heals quickly. My skin has a healthy glow and it has improved my mood.

Pros:

Improvement of mood
Improvement of breakouts
Less scaring

Cons:

Indigestion

I have been using fish oil for two weeks, and I can definitely say there's an improvement on my mood, and an improvement on my acne. I can focus better, my face doesn't scar as much, and my mood has been more balanced than before. I definitely recommend fish oil for someone who's looking to improve their acne, or for someone who's looking to improve their mood! The product I use - Finest One-Per-Day Fish Oil - has definitely helped me out greatly!

Pros:

Healthy, good for cardiovascular health, helps me to memorize better (for me, that is), and clears up acne

Cons:

none..

I had never had more than two pimples/zits until I started drinking protein shakes (after that, I started getting zits). In order to "exterminate" them from my face, I decided to take fish oil along with vitamin pills. Since then, my face has been clean, even though I get a very tiny red dot once a week or so (but they disappear within two or three days). Moreover, I realized that fish oil somehow helped me to memorize materials quickly; I found that amazing, because I am a student at MIT and I need that extra boost to help me study for midterms/finals. However, I get two or three tiny (minuscule sized zits) a week during the MIT's infamous finals week. ERGGHH! lol
