Pros:

Covers severe scars and redness well
the ONLY foundation i've found to match my skin tone
controls oil very well!

Cons:

bit pricey and must wash face at least twice to get it off.

I ADORE this product! I am a makeup maven and I've tried every drugstore and department store brand. Works better than Mac and Laura Mercier. I have incredibly oily skin, and this worked better for me than primer and oil control washes combined. Works great on scarring and redness, and lasts all day. PERFECT for people who get oily and find their makeup constantly smearing.

Pros:

Covers marks.

Cons:

BROKE ME OUT LIKE CRAZY!!
Looked like I was wearing a mask
Extremely hard to remove
Did not completely come off my face until a whole week later!!
Made skin WORSEE I'd seen in over 6months!
Horiible horrible foundation, like putting paint that you would use to paint your house onto your skin! Horrible.

I am recovering from some really severe acne I finally got my acne under control and at a normal acceptable manner in public. My face looked normal with enough coverage for the scars so I was seeking a make up to help me feel confident again. I've read raving reviews on many many websites online and decided this would be great for my situation. I rushed to Walgreens with enough research to know my exact color perfectly and the type to use for my skin. The next day I applied it to a fresh face with a sponge and it was WAY TOO THICK, so I wet the sponge as suggested online still very thick. Did a LIGHT layer and looked like a compltete CAKE FACE!! :( So I thought ok maybe it needs to dry.. Waited.. Still looked the same. Then I thought maybe I was overthinking the situation and just left it on. My cousin came over soon after and said to me, "Wow Nadine.. I don't know why you think your acne is so bad, you look fine! I think its that make up you're using, it make your skin look old." &She suggested another make up for me. I went to wash it off and IT WOULDN't COME OFF!! I must have washed my face 5times to no avail, I started freaking out. What kind of make up doesn't come off with face wash or soap? I don't think that this is something that people should put on their faces it was HORRIBLE. Literally like using the paint for the outside of your home onto your face HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. It took over a week for me to finally see that junk fully wash off my wash & it shoot my nearly clear skin back to severe and worse than I had seen it in over 6months!! This makeup messed up the progress I made and Iwas terribly disappointed. NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE THIS MAKE UP, Its heavy duty enough to paint the walls of your bedroom seriously. Not something we should be putting on our faces. I've headed to the Wet n Wild Tinted Moisturizer as a foundation, a concealer stick for the spots, some blending, and a stroke of setting powder. A MLLION TIME

Pros:

Controls oil
Good coverage
Lasts pretty well

Cons:

Dries fast
Can look cakey
Color did not match me
Expensive!

I gave it 4 out of 5 because it keeps my oily skin at bay and lasts longer than a lot of others i have tried. However it can become cakey and the color (buff) did not match my skin. It was a bit too dark and had a reddish undertone that did not match my neutral toned skin. Also if you have very bad redness from pimples its probably not going to cover them completely unless you apply small layers continuously, which can waste a lot of product. It will cover most post inflammatory hyper pigmentation however. I did get worse acne when using this, but i don't think it is the products fault as i was under a lot of stress. Overall i'd recommend this to someone with oily skin that has acne scars and maybe a few pimples here and there.

Pros:

Lasts all day
Buildable coverage
Goes on smooth
Blends really well

I LOVE this foundation and it does not cause me to breakout. I apply this with a cosmetic wedge sponge (some people wet the sponge but I do not). It really gives good coverage and covers my dark spots (old acne scars). It lasts all day too. I never have to reapply this foundation in the day. When it's 2 for 1 at Walgreens or CVS both cost around $13.

Pros:

-> it was cheap because i bought it at a discount store.
-> decent coverage.

Cons:

-> thick and goopy
-> its hard to blend in! it got 'stuck' on parts of my hairline and i had to continuously rub over it until it finally blended in the way that i wanted it to.. 10 minutes later!
-> messy!
-> took quite some time to dry properly.

i wouldn't buy this foundation again. it has a heavy feel to it, and it's difficult to blend in. it covered my red hyperpigmentation pretty well, but that's about it, unfortunately.

Pros:

-Great buildable coverage
-Long lasting
-Cheaper than department store foundation
-Easily accessible (depending on color)
-Did not break me out

Cons:

-Color selection
-May oxidize
-Difficult to remove
-May magnify wrinkles & some scars

I have a lot of red marks, and this foundation covers them wonderfully. I have been using it for 3+ years. Sorry, but if you don't regularly use foundation, or do not have time to blend thoroughly, this foundation will look terrible on you. Luckily, I have perfected my technique because I am a foundation veteran. I have tried three colors: Ivory (too white), Buff, and Nude. I am pale, but not ghost white. Currently, I use Nude, but it does oxidize throughout the day. I reapply powder to correct this, and the color becomes decent again. Yes, it is thick, but that's the consistency you need to cover red marks. However, it being thick, means you'll need a good cleanser to remove all traces of it. Overall, I would recommend this to seasoned foundation users. I would not recommend this to first-timers. If you want to cover red marks, and do it well, like I do, buy this.

Pros:

The coverage is buildable to medium to full coverage. It covers nicely. Wears pretty good for a long time.

Cons:

The color selection. Application techniques if not done properly can look cakey/splotchy, so it does take some time and effort put into it.

In my opinion, it is a good drugstore foundation if you're looking for good coverage and don't want to spend an outrageous price for a foundation.

Pros:

- good coverage
- long staying power
- buildable
- doesn't break me out

Cons:

- thick and messy to apply
- expensive

I've been using Colorstay for about 3 years now. I have acne, red mark, discoloration and scars and it covers up pretty good even though it doesnt really cover up pitted scars. I apply this foundation together with the pressed powder and it's a great combination 320 True Beige Combination/Oily

Pros:

-looks great when first applied

Cons:

-broke me out
-VERY hard to remove
-not long lasting and wears off weirdly
-doesn't cover well enough

I don't understand which this is such a highly rated foundation. It wore off really quickly and looked splotchy by the end of the day, yet it was very difficult to remove. It also broke me out pretty badly.
