Pros:

Lives up to it's promise and DOES reduce spot size in 4 hours.

Cons:

After the pimple(s) drie out, you are left with a VERY dark red mark for a few days.

I don't have bad acne nor minor (I'm mostly paranoid, as family tell me they can't see the spots but you know how it goes) Anyway, I purcahsed this item because i had tried everything else and to my surprise it actually worked!! And it does exactly what it says on the tube. I had a very big sore spot and a couple of hours later it had shrunk. The next day it was barely there just a little crust. It does leave very sore red marks (JUST FOR A FEW DAYS, THEN FADES), but hey! if you want rid of a pimple fast I'm sure it's worth it!

Pros:

It moisterized really well. It did what it said it would do.

Cons:

It burned my skin a little after applying bp, but the derm says that is natural and expected, so no biggie.

Use it! It is very good to moisterize skin. I have combination oily, dry, and normal skin, and it works well on all of them. The best regemin for your own skin type is on [link removed]. You choose your skin type and what type of acne and it creates your personalized routine. It's awesome.

Pros:

it feels really nice on your skin.. so it doesn't aggravate my red marks by making it redder.. seems to be helping with my whiteheadss :]

Cons:

should use makeup remover before if you use makeup..~

I've tried..proactive.. neutrogena..olay acne scrub..biore..regular soap.. all kinds of things but i think this one is the best because it feels like its exfoliating my skin but yet very gently.. i also use neutrogena acne mark peel 3-5 times a week n it seems to be helping a lot with my blemishs and acne marks~!

Pros:

I love it.

Cons:

No longer sold in my area

This product is the only thing I have ever used that actually helped my acne. Now it's no longer being sold in my area. I tried [link removed] but it's not there. At amazon it's double what I paid at the store. Does anyone know another place online to get this or anything else that works.

Pros:

It really works! Smells good, doesn't dry your skin out like other products.

Cons:

Expensive. You have to take pill twice a day.

I love this product! I have become an Arbonne consultant because of it. I used various prescription washes and pills and none of them gave me results. A friend of mine is a consultant and gave me the complete set to try for free. Within three weeks of using this line I could say I saw results for the first time! I had terrible acne all over my face. Now my skin is alomst completely clear. I still have breakouts from time to time, but only one or two pimples on my chin or forehead. I love this line and will continue to use it.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Expensive and does not work.

Made my skin breakout worse than it has ever broken out before. I was told to give it a month and it would start to clear. After 3 months of huge painful cysts all over my chin, cheeks, and forehead, I finally stopped. Took 3-4 months to reverse the damage and was left with tons of red marks. Did not work for my sister either. Awful product.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
