Pros:

I dont have any besides the fact its cheap!!!``

Cons:

I used this product once and it burned my whole face!!! My face is nw so dry it looks like it has aged 10 years!!! I will never buy this again!

The product I used said was for sensitive skin but that didnt stop it from burning. The burning got so bad that I had to get out of bed and put an ice pack on my face! I have been left with really dry flaky skin and swollen eyes! I will never ever use this brand of skin care ever again!!!

Pros:

Made my face feel clean without overdrying

Cons:

Did not clear pimples

This product helped me keep some of my 'monthly' acne away-especially when I was feeling all hormonal. It did not clear existing acne whatsoever.

Pros:

smells good
works great
easy to use

Cons:

have to use atleast 2 or 3 pumps

in the beginning of my freshman year I had developed really bad white heads and blackheads and had gotten the occasional pimple or two on my cheeks and chin, and I had searched all over for a good product that worked but everything I got did nothing, and at the end of my freshman year I had found this. I am now in my junior year and haven't really had any problems with them anymore. My whiteheads cleared up almost completely and I have way fewer blackheads. I really love this stuff.

Pros:

reduces the size of pimple, typically keeps it from increasing in size.

Cons:

Does not completely vanish pimple, takes more than eight hours.

This product may not vanish all of your pimples, but it will atleast help all of them. It isn't too expensive and if you don't like it then you could always try to email neutrogena for a coupon for another product or money back. So you could atleast try and see how it goes.

Pros:

Smell

Cons:

Fast results

I love the spot treatment! I have tried several cleansers and spot treatments but every time one pimple go's away it seems like another one would appear and I could never keep my face free of acne. As soon as I started using the burts bees line I saw results over night and I can't remember the last time my face looked this good.

Pros:

My skin feels smooth and soft after using.

Cons:

It can make skin feel tight if you don't moisturize.

I've used this product on and off for about a year and it does work when used as a combination treatment. At present I am taking 300mg of Trimethopim (Morning and night) and using Clean & Clear facial wash and Aderma moisturiser in the morning. On the evening I used Clean & Clear facial wash with a thin layer of Suedocrem (I mean THIN, like a small pea sized dot on both cheeks and forehead is enough) and then a layer of Nicam gel on the most affected areas - DO NOT APPLY ALL OVER THE FACE OR AFFECTED AREA BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT! You may find you break out alot more in the first few weeks but this is because all the impurities in your skin are being drawn out and it won't matter what treatment you use if it is working you will break out intially in the first 2 weeks, if it progressively gets worse then obviously stop treatment but give it at least 6 weeks. Also if you have severe acne scarring then I suggest buying a Aderma Zinc cream which soothes and calms infected areas.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
