Pros:

Cleared up my back acne
Made my back softer
Got rid of scars on my back

Cons:

None

I use Epiduo on my shoulders and upper back every night after taking a shower. In the shower I also use the Acne.org cleanser on my shoulders and back. I didn't experience any drying and within the first few days I saw results. It has been a month now and my back is 100% percent clear and feeling great. I use Acanya and Atralin gels for my face which have been working well too. I would say giving Epiduo a try on your back is well worth it!

Pros:

Clears acne, reduces hyper pigmentation

Cons:

None

This stuff is wonderful. After struggling for a year trying to get my right cheek under control. I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed epiduo. I used it and saw a difference the next morning. My face was less swollen. I have tried everything under the sun to get my cheeks and chin under control and nothing worked until epiduo. The first week my skin was red and dry but nothing a little moisturizer didnt combat now I'm so happy my face looks better every day I've been using it a month and a half and I wish I would have gone to the doctor sooner. If you suffer from acne try epiduo it works!

Pros:

*Completely cleared up my acne
*Cheap
*A little goes a long way

Cons:

*Stains my pillows a little
*Takes a while to dry (before I can moisturise)

I suffered from moderate to severe acne for two years. I had a few cysts and a constant supply of big red painful spots and pustules around my mouth, chin and cheeks. I tried nearly everything. I went to my Derm and asked for Roaccutane. She insisted that I try Epiduo first. I reluctantly agreed. Initially I used this twice a day (against instruction!) and (not surprisingly!) suffered horrendous pain, redness cracking and peeling. I then started using Epiduo as described and saw my acne slowly disappear. It was amazing, I went from having a face dominated by acne to being 100% clear in about three months. I apply Epiduo to the affected areas every night then moisturise with Cetaphil. It's been 9 months since I started Epiduo and I probably won't ever stop using it. Just in case. I currently experience no side effects, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone suffering with acne.

Pros:

Works quick, all acne gone, best product,

Cons:

Price, a little drying

This product is the best product I've used I'm African American and have tried every thing, from olay to proactive and all Neutrogena products none worked but this! It cleared all my acne by two weeks. Its kinda expensive but you won't be wasting any money! It kinda dried out my face by my mouth but a little lotion did the trick.

Pros:

Within 2-3 days you can see spots reduced in size.
Within a few weeks (3-4) your acne scars and spots are REDUCED
After the first week or so, the burning and other side effects go away.

Cons:

1st Week or so, side effects: Maybe a breakout(short)
Burning
Stinging
Dry Skin
But are quite minor effects and disappear quickly.

I have been using Epiduo for 3 weeks after it was prescribed to me by a doctor and it has worked wonders o my skin, however it still hasn't completely cleared up my skin, the leaflet says it should do so within the first 8 weeks max. By the way things are going, I think it should be gone by next week! I TOTALLY RECOMEND this product, it is AMAZING! It also moisturizes really nicely after the first week!

Pros:

-Clears acne
-Also clears the acne fast
-Fades scars

Cons:

-Burning
-Dryness
-Peeling

I had horrible acne for YEARS. On my forehead, shoulders, cheeks and chin. I tried everything from Proactiv to Skin ID to Clean & Clear and NOTHING worked. I tried alot of topicals but they all just made my acne worse. I also tried antibiotics but one of them ended up compromising my liver which resulted in me not being able to take antibiotics and I did NOT want to go on accutane because I've heard it clears up acne but has problems with body organs. Anyways, in December my Dermatologist gave me 3 different topicals to try and I was hesitant because they all had bad initial break outs and I was breaking out bad as it was so more breakouts was like NOOOO! and For about a month I used nothing, just some random facewash. I then realized that something HAS to work. and I looked up reviews for Epiduo and I saw all these amazing reviews and thought, "I can get through the initial breakout. I can do this." I'm that girl who cakes on the coverup and hates going swimming because it washes off my coverup and I never sleepover peoples houses because I'm afraid they will be grossed out when we wake up because my acne was so bad. But I've been using Epiduo for a few weeks now and my scars are fading and my breakouts are going down and I'm THRILLED. My moms seeing changes and people at school are telling me how amazing my skin looks. I know this sounds like a cheesy proactiv commerical but I recommend Epiduo. Everyones skin type is different but I really believe that Epiduo will change your life. Espcially after loosing so much self esteem after being around my friends who have flawless skin, I can finally stop feeling so sorry for my self because of my skin and I can start feeling happy. :)

Pros:

Works amazing!
Cleared up my skin.
Bleached my scars and pigmentation.
Really the first thing that gave great results.

Cons:

Burns to the extent that I had a hard time going to sleep at night.
Makes your face turn hot red while you have it on.
Dries up your skin and makes it peal off.

I was almost about to quit using this gel after the first few days. My doctor had advised me to use it only at night after cleansing and to use it on my whole face. After the first night I noticed about five huge and deep zits, the kind you can't even pop cause they lie so deep within your skin. Also I almost couldn't stand the burning since I have both sensitive and dry (doesn't stop me from breaking out and getting extremly greasy in my t-zone) skin. By the third day my skin was flaking and I hadn't gotten that much sleep due to all the burning. But my doctor had advised me to use it on my whole face for a whole month and then if I was clear to stop and only use on areas where a break-out was forming. I decided to stick it out and by the end of the first week I was actually happy about all the flaking since my skin started to look better and better by each day. I've had no more break outs and my skin is looking really nice except for some old acne scars. I'm on my third week and this is by far the best results I've ever seen.

Pros:

- It cleared up most of my acne
- It is really fast to use
- SAVED MY LIFE

Cons:

- first couple weeks of use, you may see your acne worsen
- made my skin red and dry
- can bleach towels or sheets

I love epiduo. I don't know what I would do without it. The first couple weeks were bad and I didn't see any improvement. My skin was super red and I was peeling. About the 4th or 5th week is when I saw my acne going away. Even my scars. My face no longer gets red and it is the best thing I've used so far. You have to let your face get used to the medicine and so far, I've been using it for a month. Without epiduo, I would still be getting bullied at school<3 thank you epiduo(:

I am 22 years old and I started getting acne in my late teens. I have wasted this year alone over $700 on facials and products at this high end spa. Every time I got a facial my face would be red for 3-5 days. My face would only stay clear for a week maybe 3. I finally decided to see a proffesional about 3 weeks age. I must say I wish I would had done it years ago. I have wasted so much on retail non working products. I tried proactive only worked for a couple weeks. I recomend everyone to reserch the best dermatologist and go for it. Might as well spend the money and clear your face ones and for all. You will just keep spending other wise. Epiduo works but it can be very expensive I saved $75 with a coupon I got on there site. My Pimpels are all gone. I still have black heads, I did pop them. I put Epiduo over the pop black heads and they have not been back. My demoatologist also prescribed me doxycycline hyclate pills. I take two a day. This pill are very strong and can make your stomach hurt bad. Well good luck getting rid of your acne and I completely recomend Epido. Go for it!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
