  1. Yesterday i noticed some horrific large spots in my scalp - almost cyst size - 3/4 large, inflamed, inflamed, painful to touch spots. Today they are significantly reduced and on way to fading but i did sleep a good 9 hours for the first time in ages last night. Things to note: Last 2 nights i have used a shampoo i don't usually use, normally i would use somekind of dandruff type one but i was somewhere else so had no choice - one i used: Dove Hair Therapy Intensive Repair Shampoo
  2. Hello there, I am 21 of Asian complexity and I have been into consultation for a session of Fraxel Repair at $2500 for my cheeks a month ago. I would like to ask of the vets in laser resurfacing a few of their opinions, as I plan to eventually get my treatment in August after my classes ended. I would like to know 1. How did your skin respond to the treatment? I am not expecting a miracle; the derm suggested a modest 25-30% improvement and I'll take it any day. But I am more concern
  3. Hello everyone *(Picture attached)* I've been battling with this wired type of skin / facial hair on my chin for a long time (1 year). I personally believe that it's caused by harsh products that I've been using. Before my summer holiday I completely stopped using any skin care products, except for a moisturizer (that isn't harsh). I hoped that this would allow my skin to heal, but after some time I can conclude that it's hasn't changed. My description of the condition: After using harsh pr
  4. Hello! This is my first post on this forum. I want to share my Fraxel re:pair experience and seek advice for further acne scar treatment. I'm a young guy who had suffered with acne since 11 years old. Accutane cured it, but left scars. In October, I had a full face Fraxel Re:pair procedure to treat moderate to severe scarring (most are depressed rolling scars) mostly on my lower cheeks and chin. The doctor used a very high setting for the cheeks with several passes. 3 months out and I'm pret

  6. Hello. My face is all sorts of messed up from way too many products like BHA and even a steroid cream. It's scaly looking, hyperpigmentated, and red. I also get a ton of pimples and little bumps all over my face. My nose is soo bad, it's dry and flakey but pours out oil constantly. Right now my face is mostly oily but it is still super rough and just weird. I'm looking for any advice and natural ways to repair it and get it back to it's normal state. I'm throwing out all basic products. I only w
  7. Hi everyone, Has anyone had success with l-glutamine? I would like to address my leaky gut, and my naturopath recommended Designs for Health - L-Glutamine Powder 250 gms. Has anyone tried it, or other glutamine supplements? I'm not sure whether it's best to take it on an empty stomach or after a meal, and there are no specific directions on the box.
  8. Changed "The Truth" to a journey, since I'm discontinuing it. Summary Basically, I had cystic acne, but finally cleared my skin by eating only eggs and oatmeal for like 2 weeks after getting results back from a skin prick test. Here are those results: Now, these results weren't very accurate and didn't test for enough foods. But oats and carrots and wheat were spot on. Mediator Release Test Now, I didn't get it yet! I'm saving money so I can order it from Florida for $495 U.S. I
  9. Hi there, I will be stopping accutane soon (I have decided to end my course early because of health concerns) and I am considering getting a tattoo. I know that you can give blood after one month of stopping taking the medication so I presume that means it is out of your system? I have also read that some people were advised to not have tattoo work done until atleast SIX months after their course had finished. I am am very confused to the lengths of time involved as everyone seems to say somet
  10. Sometimes next year, I am planning to treat my shallow scarring with laser like Repair or Total FX. I have acne scarring on both cheeks. It's mix of rolling, boxcar, icepick. I also have blackheads, enlarged pore a little bit, very rarely get a new pimple. Recently I've been hearing from others(not a doctor, but people who underwent laser treatments such as CO2, repair) that laser treatment will diminish blackheads. Is it true? It makes sense a bit if I think about how laser works, but I a
