Pros:

Gets rid of pimples quickly

Cons:

Leaves skin very dry

BE CAREFUL USING THIS PRODUCT. The instructions on the bottle are so misleading! It says to apply a 'layer' which is really not a good idea if you have dry or sensitive skin. It does however say to test it before use which is a really important thing to do because this product can leave your skin incredibly dry and irritated. I also use the proactiv cleanser which also contains benzoyl peroxide but the repairing lotion seems a lot harsher on the skin. Every so often for about a week I applied really small amounts to blemishes and it worked very well - but I then stupidly decided to apply a 'layer' to an area of my face, around my chin. The proactiv pamphlet says the repairing lotion should be applied to any area to 'PREVENT' so this is what i did. My skin became INCREDIBLY dry. For about a week, every morning I would apply layers and layers of moisturizer but no matter how much i put on my skin was still dry. I had never seen it so dry before in my life - it was flaky, kind of cracked in some areas so the skin around my chin was almost in sections. I had to start using a really thick clinique moisturizer but i had to put so much on that the dry skin kind of soaked it up so that my skin was kind of left with the yellow tint. There are also quite a few youtube videos about this product where they say you can just SLATHER on the repairing lotion and leave it overnight. Really not a good idea. Although its extremely harsh, it does work quite well for me when used in very small amounts so i would still reccommend it. However, there are other products out there that work just as well, such as tea tree oil, which will not leave you with incredibly dry skin.

Pros:

Shrinks pimples within a day.. Two max.
Although it's a very small bottle. The bottle has lasted me months because you only need a small amount

Cons:

Very small bottle
Makes skin very dry and flaky but that's all BP products really
Price!! So damn expensive

Bought the entire system. Didn't like it too much. Didn't seem to make my skin better. Got a little worse actually and my face was one massive flake. The moisturizer that came with the pack is crap and doesn't moisturize anything. I ended up switching the cleanser with cetaphil... used the repairing lotion and got a olay moisturizer and wow.. awesome results. But in future, I'm going to buy a cheaper BP product. Figure it would do exactly the same thing.

Pros:

I have been using the reparining lotion and the results are OK. No major breakouts for the past two weeks-a big improvement from a new blemish everyday.

Cons:

It did take a while to start working (almost two months) and I have to be consistent. My skin is very flaky and sensitive now.

With the advice from this site, my skin has been better. Another BP product might have the same result.

Pros:

it works sometimes but i have more acne now than i did before. im going back to the cheap stuff i got at walgreens, i think it worked better

Cons:

im going to continue to use the product because it helps but not as fast as i want it to. some parts of my face have been breaking out way more than it ever did before.

it didnt cost me a ton of money so im not sad that i bought it but it did not work the way i wanted it to. the commercials make me think it will work over night, iv been using it for almost 3 months and some days my face is so red and broken out i have to put on a ton of makeup. i still have plenty of the stuff left and im going to use every last drop til its gone but im pretty sure i wont buy any more when its all gone.

Pros:

My acne started to disappear in a matter of days.

Cons:

The fragrance of this product caused the skin around my eyes to become swollen, dry and red. Obviously proactiv is not for sensitive skin!

For those of you people who don't have a sensitive skin issue I would say this is an excellent product. I am not sure if I am allergic to BP or if it is just the fragrance which has been added to the repairing lotion.

Pros:

it works and has a good backing and proof

Cons:

its really expensive

i saw this stuff advertised on tv. i ordered it and it worked but i was really red and flaky for ages. it eventually went away, but i was still red. i cancelled my subscription cause of the cost and found a simple benzoyl peroxide gel. i still use it and it works, plus its cheap. the set cost me like 40 bucks on sale. but usually cost 60 bucks every 3 months, rip off.

Pros:

cleared up my skin the first couple months (i also used the proactiv cleanser, toner, and mask thing)

Cons:

it dried my skin up, but it was all good after i got a decent moisterizer. then it actually caused my skin to break out after a couple months so i stopped using it.

idk...unless you have severe acne i proably wouldnt recommend it.

Pros:

left my skin bright, glowing, and clear....ish.

Cons:

Didn't totally clear me up, but i wasnt expecting it to.

Like it it enought to buy again, but don't necessarily love it. aslso, nasty back acne annie, water is a neutral and therefore will not dilute the BP, instead use a base such as a moisturizer :] all you are doing by adding water to ur bp is making it well, watery

Pros:

Works well, failry easy regime to follow

Cons:

Lost effectivness after 4ish months, Having to listen to cheesy testimonials from heavily paid pop stars..

Proactive worked so well for me. I initially used it in combination with my topical antibiotic (DalacinT) which was fine. Then ran out of Dalacin and used it on its own, still fine. But now am starting to break out again, maybe I should keep the two together again? I never really found it 'smoothed' my skin all that much, or cleared my blackheads/under-the-skin tiny spots. But it did help my mild/moderate cystic chin acne, for which I'm grateful.

Pros:

Results within days with this product, after having tried dozens of other products. Six months after starting to use this, and my very acne prone chin is clear as a bell

Cons:

Dries your face out at first, but you just need to adjust the frequency of use.

Worked extremely quickly and well for me. I was desperate, and couldn't really quite believe just how effective this was for me. May be expensive relatively speaking for a BP product, but I don't care with these results.
