    Dryness Not So Bad

I am 100% open to other peoples comments, thoughts, opinions and suggestions even if they are different from the DKR. (Dan Kern regimen) So far though, its working pretty good. That big-ass nodule thing on my chin has gone down a lot and formed whiteheads a long the way. When I squeezed the whitehead out it oozed out like hard string cheese, it was kind of gross. Hope it'll be totally gone in another 5 days or so. Its quite small and no longer hard. My chin tried to form two new bumps and succee
  2. Okay, so it's been a year since starting the regimen. I won't deny that it has worked at clearing my acne, but overall, it has caused me to have other skin issues which I've never experienced before in my life; redness, dryness, wrinkles, clogged pores, blackheads and hyperpigmentation which lasts for months on end. When I had acne when I was 15 and wasn't doing anything to treat my face, I would pop pimples constantly and the red mark afterwards would heal within days. Nowadays, if I do pop
  3. Okay. I just need to vent a little here. I apologize in advance. WHY is my skin doing this? The initial clearing was absolutely a tease. There's this decently-sized red bump on my cheek and whiteheads on both my forehead and cheeks. This is so uncool. I have to admit that yes, my skin is getting less inflamed and these breakouts will heal like the rest, but goodness this is saddening. Especially without the aid of face makeup. I can't stop looking at my skin. Look at my photo
  4. Hi everyone I wanted to share with you my recent experiment with the 'caveman regimen' that many people are turning to out of frustration with treating Acne. My acne background is as follows: my skin has been prone to moderate whitehead pimples and sore inflamed skin since the age of approx. 14 was prescribed oxytetracycline at 15 (I didn't ask for them nor was i at the doctors for acne. I regret agreeing to take them) Between 14-23 I have been on 6 different antibiotics at separate time
  5. There is a part of me that is absolutely horrified that I'm blogging about this *with pictures*, lol. However, I'm a really open person, so I really wanted to share this journey because I understand the struggle for clear skin and how it makes a person feel to not achieve it---let alone wonder if what they're currently using is actually working. I need the support and ideas and feedback just like anyone walking around wondering, "is this even working? am I just telling myself that it is? do I l

    The Struggles Of Acne

So the only new pimples I'm seeing is white heads in my nostril crevice (If its called that I dunno), You know, where the nostril meets the cheek. Those ones arent so bad because they can be quickly popped with minimal damage! Other than that NO NEW PIMPLES have formed since starting this regimen. By the way folks you need to be careful when spelling regimen that you dont spell REGIME! LOL I've seen that. Anyway the only problem I foresee is how bloody expensive BP is. I'm a bit relucta
  7. hello! two years or so ago I began experiencing more severe acne than I had in my teenage years. before that, I'd have the odd blemish or two but never had to think very hard about what products I used on my skin. my skin today is the worst I have ever seen it and I now find myself o.b.s.e.s.s.i.n.g. over every little thing I do, wondering if it contributes to my acne. my health history: I have alopecia areata, which is an autoimmune disorder that causes mild hair loss; I am also lactos

    Day 8 - 11/2/2012

I forgot to take a photo the first day, but I have to say that this is a dramatic improvement. What you see mainly on my neck/under chin is scar tissue from the past 13 years of suffering with acne, along with cystic acne spots that have been there for months. I have tons of blackheads and hard sebum clogs in my forehead and my cheeks. Ignore the red line across my nose -- glasses. In the past week, I have had only one new pimple, a change from one or two every other day. The cystic acn

Day 21 - Skin Getting Better

Helo! Can't believe I have been following the regimen for 3 weeks already (booyeah)! After all the redness, flaking and itchy skin, I have finally passed that stage already. My skin is no longer red but as compared to my neck, it is still a bit darker. But yea most of the active acne, I can say, are 95% gone from my face There are still acne scars caused by previous acne in some part of my cheeks. But as for the forehead and nose area are pretty much cleared. My current skin routine: -

    The Beginning

So like everyone else in this "community" i have ACNE! And just like everyone else i've tried everything on the self and even went to a Dermatologist. Nothing worked or seemed to work until i tried this regimen. I wanted to try the regimen out first before purchasing the system because in the past i've spent alot of money on products that don't work! I feel that in the near future i will be ordering it because for the last month i've used alot of the Neutrogena On the Spot (2 bottles). My first
  11. On my last blog , I said that my skin is super oily and didn't itchy at all ! But guess what happened ? It was starting to get itchy on day 2 and today (12/5/2016-day 3) it was like hell to me. My skin was completely dried and itchy like hell. I have to go to school and I had to suffer tried so hard not to scratch or even touch my skin. I didn't know whether to use the moistreriser or not whenever my skin felt tried ?. another thing that came to me is the enourmous pore. Before i started to

    It's A Long Story...

Isn't that what we tell all the dermatologists who we see, now? "Sooo, it all started when..." blah blah blah. So my story sounds a lot like what I've already heard so many times on this site. I'm 25, female, and have battled acne on and off since middle school. In high school, proactiv controlled it somewhat so that it was manageable. But my freshman year in college my periods went crazy, I got ovarian cysts, and my skin opened up a can of whop ass on me. Proactiv was no match for th

    Day 16: And We're Back

Well, I freaked out yesterday, but it looks like my skin is back to progressing. Most of the areas that were popped yesterday are either now red marks or smaller whiteheads, which I'm fine with. It could've been worse! Of course, my skin is also back to its insanely dry, red, and burning routine. Applying the BP is never bad, but for some reason when I put on the 2 pumps of moisturizer (and 5-6 drops of jojoba now ) my skin starts freaking out and stinging like mad. It definitely needs
  14. HELLO Beautiful people. I recently uploaded a video about my 5 month experience using the 3 step regimen from Acne.org. (Attached is a link to that video) I discussed in great details my thoughts on the products, the side effects I endured, and much more. Day 18: The Flaky Feat

This morning, I woke up to no new forming pimples, and even better, diminished whiteheads. I was so pleased to see that the popped whiteheads from yesterday healed pretty well, and it doesn't look like they'll be coming back. Thank goodness. The papule near my nose has also shrunk a bit, which is great. I just want to be able to wear makeup today without looking like a bumpy toad. My skin is still extremely dry and flaky, but I'm proud of this progress! This is one of those days on the
  16. I'm sorry I haven't posted about the past few days. I didn't have time to access the internet this weekend. I'll just quickly summarize how my skin's been doing: Day 25: Again, flaky skin. Even though I was in a van for about 10 hours, I insisted on wearing makeup the entire day. There were travel videos to worry about and such. I bought Tarte's Maracuja Miracle Foundation the day before, which is a liquid. The woman selling me the product was successful in convincing me that liquid f

    Day 8: Ouch.

Day 8 has proven so far to be quite the challenge. First, let me just say that the Regimen is still awesome. My skin is still progressing quite smoothly and at the proper pace However, my skin is definitely feeling the increased amount of BP, and it seems to be purging like no other. I don't really mean that it's breaking out. It just seems to be screaming, "EVERYTHING ON ME WILL DIE A PAINFUL DEATH." So, what's going on with my skin? Time to investigate: 1. I did have a mi

    Update on regimen, allergies

My skin has been really itchy and I've been getting hives on my back. My face is itchy but no hives there thank the Lord! The hives on my back are there mostly at night, I wake up with an itchy back lately. I know I'm allergic to a lot of things but I don't know everything that I am allergic too. I'm not sure what's causing the hives so I prayed and started eliminating scented stuff. I'm taking a few different allergies pills and using topical anti-itch products. Hopefully my doctor gets my refe

Week 3 With Dan The Man

Hey kids. So I just finished week 3/started week 4. And I'm still pretty pleased w the results of the regimen! As a reminder I'm using 1/3 fingers length of bp twice a day, with dans cleanser and Cerave moisturizer twice a day too. I also just started my 3rd month of the bc pill Trinessa... I try and wear as little makeup as possible. Some Clinique concealer under the eyes and on any zits usually makes me half presentable for a day at work. But I'd like to start trying maybe adding a primer

How I Cleared My Acne! My Regimen!

So a bit of background... I have had acne since I was about 12 and typically throughout school products didnt really work for me until I tried Proactiv. But over time, obviously this product isnt very cost effective and it was ruining all my towels! I always wanted skin that was beautiful and clear and easy to manage! So I tried every natural way of trying to get rid of it. I dont have overly oily skin or really dry skin, but I get all those little bumps on my forehead, big red pimples on my ch

    Day 43: Holding My Breath

Well, after some much needed moisturizer and jojoba, my skin is back on its way. The swelling is completely gone, and the redness has gone down significantly. Also, the popped areas are still healing. They're not completely gone, but they're looking a lot less angry! I did have to exfoliate with jojoba oil this morning, though. I rubbed a good amount of it between my hands and massaged my face with it in the shower. It works better for me when my flakes are wet; they just come right off

    Day 14 On The Regimen

I'm currently Day 14 following The Regimen I've seen minor improvements on my face, no new acne popping up in my face and the older ones are gone by now or at least very dry. However, I can still se acne scars here and there due to the old acne. My only concern is that my face is now darker than the usual color also when being compared to my neck. The skin also tends to get very dry after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, should I scrub off the dry skin on my face or just leave it as it

    One Month of Needles

I've been hearing a lot about this microneedling over the last year and had considered giving it a try. But it wasn't until I heard a coworker raving about it that I thought I should actually go for it. Basically, you're rolling dozens of tiny needles all over your face, causing controlled injury to the layers of skin and forcing the body to increase collagen production. This improves, apparently, fine lines, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and skin firmness. There are different needle length

2 Months Into Dans Regimen! Whoop!

The 2 month mark is here! 8 weeks! This is a crucial milestone, people. A crossroad of sorts. This is the time I told myself I'd evaluate my progress and decide if I should continue... Well? What do you guys think? Is it worth sticking it out another month? Another 2 months? Forever?!?
