  1. Hi! I want to know if this regimen is right for skin that is tight after washing but oily in day...how can I make my skin NOT oily during the day? 1. Wash face in shower with Benzoyl Peroxide 10% creamy wash (told to by dermatologist) 2. Use Eucerion regular lotion, although on back it says apply to dry skin. Again, dermatologist, but only until my skin stopped drying from medication (which it has) 3. Workday, and by 11 or 11:30 my skin is oily. If I don't put on powder, it's terribly b
  2. The Situation: I have been battling acne now for over a year. I have seen my dermatologist, been given Retin-A, Clindamycin, BP, Doxycycline, a decent moisturizer and cleanser, yet I still battle acne and extreme redness/dryness. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I spend a lot of time outdoors/in the sun, so my acne situation is very difficult. Anyways, after a year of on and off success and failure, I have decided to create a new regimen given all of the resources I have now. Required
  3. Hello! I'm 5 weeks into the Regimen. I ordered more moisturizer which should arrive in a few days (hopefully), so I've just been scraping out the remnants of the one I have now and using extra jojoba. Is this okay to do? I did notice my face is a little redder than it normally is. I just don't feel like dropping money on a drugstore moisturizer. Thanks!
  4. Hi everyone. I have been on the Regimen for a few months now. It has been a success and I am now clear, only getting a stray pimple every now and then. I also started using AHA as a night moisturiser every night over a month ago. I want to sort of phase out the regimen. The BP is costing me too much to sustain it and it is bleaching my hair. But I am loving the AHA as it's giving my skin a nice look and reducing my acne marks. Has anyone had success in removing BP from the regimen and just usi

    Need Help

Hi I am 14 and a half years old and have started to get acne quite bad, most of the time i have only had 1 or 2 pimples here or there but recently, i started getting it worse and worse and have tried proactive clean and clear, home remedies, everything but nothing has been working we went to the dermatologist 2 months ago and i got prescribed doxycline, and it has done nothing for me, i have had two big cystic pimples on my cheeks for about 2 months now they just wont go away, there are about 5

    Weaning Off Regimen

First I want to start off saying that the Regimen has worked wonders for me. It cleared up about 97% of my acne in the 1.5 years I was on it. However, I decided that I didn't want to be on it my whole life. I also started to see my face age faster than normal. Although I moisturized very well and always used jojoba oil, I could see my face changing. That is when I decided I would try stopping the regimen. This may not work for everyone, but for those who are afraid of stopping or weaning off the
  7. I've been on the regimen for about two months or longer and have seen little to no improvement at all, for about a week at one point i was clear and right now its the worst its ever been. I am not 100% sure but from research im guessing i suffer from hormonal acne as I am a guy and my face is COMPLETELY clear but my jawline/chest/back are absolutely disgusting (worst being jawline). I have been experimenting with other things on the regimen on the way through which is probably frowned upon i sup

    Personal Log!

Hi everyone! I'm making this log so I can keep a record of my quest for clear(er) skin. All replies, suggestions, etc. are highly encouraged. Let's hope my skin improves the way I hope it to! Current regimen: Date: August 28th, 2013 Cleanser: Hylunia's Facial Cleansing Lotion Prescribed topicals: Epiduo Prescribed oral medication: none Other medication: salicylic acid wipes 1%, BP 10% as needed (Epiduo already contains 2.5%, a concentration that's fine for continuous "maintenance" us
  9. I'm doing research like advised by many of you before using Dan's products and came across the acnefree reviews. I noticed that a lot of people had really great things to say about it. Personally, why do you or why do you not prefer dan's products over acnefree? Compare and contrast if you've been a user of both products. Thank you

    Redness?

I'm new to the Regimen, I'm on my third week and my face is burning and bright red. It feels kind of tight, but it seems like the moisturizer is keeping my face soft. I think that these side effects should go away soon, but do you think my face will stay red? When I was on Retin-A, I had such a red face, and after I stopped using it, the redness subsided. Do you think that while I use the BP my face will stay red, like it used to?

    Share Shipping To Toronto?

I'm looking to order some more products and if there is anyone in Toronto that would like to share shipping, let me know!
  12. Good evening, Since my 12th I have been suffering from Acne. Now I am in my twenties and every morning its a suprise whether there is something new on my face. Its not terribly bad, but I am tired of it. I've bought the moisturizer and Cleanser from Acne.org and I use a 5% Benzylperoxide formula from the local pharmacy. The results have been very positive, I can recommend it to everyone. I'm looking for a pharmacy to mix my 5% with a neutral product to make it 2.5%. I hope I can find some Du
  13. So I have been using the regimen for a while now and it has definitely yielded results. I first used it once a day at night time and washed it off in the morning. This worked alright but didn't help nearly as much as I wanted it to so I switched to using the regimen twice a day as instructed. This is fine except for one problem. The moisturizer makes my face shiny. I use cetaphil cleanser and the bp and moisturizer made by Dan and sold on this site. Dan's moisturizer makes my face shiny
  14. I have a question! I have been avoiding makeup pretty much entirely..and i'm not too worried about wearing makeup during the day because I know come evening/night time time I take it off and wash my face with a cleanser to take it all off for a fresh face for night time to let all the BP sink in. So what my question is, what do I do if I want to wear makeup at night time around the time I am going to be doing my night time regimen? I usually do my night time routine at 5-6pm and I'm freaking o
  15. I am an athlete that gets up early in the morning to shave (using jojoba oil and the Regimen Cleanser and a two bladed razor recommended by this site) prior to going to our first workout of the day. After the workout, I come home and shower and complete the Regimen as prescribed. After that, I head to class. During lunch we usually conduct our second workout. This is the question I have. Usually I have another set of classes and/or meetings until nighttime (where I do the Regimen at night), s
  16. So I recently stopped using the Acne.org regimen after almost 2 months. Unfortunately, my skin and the BP was not a harmonious match. The discomfort from my dry, flaky, itching skin was becoming too uncomfortable and unsightly AND these small red pimples were beginning to appear. So my question is...what are some product lines or other regimens former users of Acne.org regimen transitioned too?
  17. I just got the system and I used two pumps of the moisturizer as indicated, however I have oily skin and woke up a bit greasy. Does anyone use less of the moisturizer than suggested? Also, there was no sting from the dime sized amount of BP. Should I up the amount used even though I'm in my first week?
  18. I just got the Regimen and love how you can just follow the instructions (meaning no mistakes). One thing I am very unsure of is the benzoyl peroxide, which is in a NON-pump container. Is there a reliable way to get two pumps worth? By the way, I used BP before a lot, and in stronger percentages, so that's why I'm not starting on a smaller amount. Thanks!
  19. I used the regimen for 10 days. Now my skin is burned from using 4% BP. I have been using it gradually and applied moisturizer regularly. I now have stopped the regimen because of intense skin cracking, peeling off and redness. I read that the burned skin from bp can be permanent. Is that true? What can I do to get my normal skin back? I am really afraid that I'll have a scar for life because of bp. Please help!
  20. Hi everyone. I was prescribed Clindamycin and Differin Gel by my doc for mild acne. I have very mild acne with the occassional hormonal monster pimple. I do not have much acne scars. I have about 2 or 3 very shallow pock marks and 1 ice pick scar on my cheek. But can someone with knowledge regarding this please tell me if: 1. Is it safe to exfoliate with a salicylic acid toner while on these two? 2. If yes, where does this go in my regimen? (Day or night, before or after putting on the cli

    Regimen, And Side Effects?

Hello acne.org community. So I have a problem. I am starting to think that the Regimen's cons actually out weigh the pros. It is currently month 3, and I have seen some results. They are not the best by far, but definitely getting there. Anyway, I am still experiencing very dry and flaky skin. I have to bring a moisturizer to school, and every period I have to say I have to go to the bathroom, and apply moisturizer. I am very self conscious about how I look, and the flakiness is not good. I have
  22. Hi, I'm about to start the regimen - have ordered the kit and am expecting it soon! I was wondering what you girls use to remove makeup, the regimen says just the cleanser but in the past i've just used face wash and it hasn't got all my makeup off so I don't expect it too this time, especially if it's only on my face for ten seconds! I normally just use face wipes to get it all off but I want to try to follow the regimen as exactly as possible to really clear my skin up and I've heard that ap
  23. Hello. I have been on the regimen for almost 2 months now. There are some problems I am having, and I would like to talk about them today to see if anyone else also has them, and for advice. 1. I absolutely, positively CANNOT find a good moisturizer. First I tried Dan's moisturizer, which always turned my face ORANGE, as did jojoba oil. I loved how it felt and moisturized my skin, although I HATED walking around with an orange face! Also, I have tried Cetaphil, Olay, and
  24. I hear all sorts of feedback on how long people took to get clear. I really only want to hear from cystic acne sufferers...please how long did it really take? I am on week 10 and am still having breakouts. I just want to get a realistic view of what I am working with here...thanks in advance for your feedback!

Going To Give This A Try

I just ordered the acne treatment regimen for the face will arrive in a few days. I am hoping this will work to clear up my skin, feeling optimistic. I do see that acne.org has a seperate wash just for the body, is anyone using that? I read from a peer reviewed article that you can infact use the same acne wash on your face onto your whole body. Is anyone else using the face wash on their body instead of buying two different treatments? I also would like to know of the side affects that actually
