Pros:

Face is 75% clearer after a week
Haven't had any new pimples since I started
Cystic acne was gone in about 3 days

Cons:

Can make your stomach turn if taken on empty stomach. I did it one day and threw up about 10 minutes later. Take with FOOD.

I am a 24 year old female who has had clear skin since high school. I did suffer from acne in high school and it just cleared up on its own one day. All of a sudden, it has come back full force! My face was breaking out terribly. I would have a new breakout every day. I even started to get cystic acne. I started researching online on how to control this, and I came across this website where most people had a good experience with Zinc. So I went out and bought it. It has been exactly a week and 2 days that I've been on it and I feel like my face is 75% more clear. I take 50mg of chelated Zinc Gluconate once a day. I also take cod liver oil once a day. Part of my regimen is using a mild face wash and then I put Witch Hazel on my face. I believe the Zinc has been a big factor in clearing up my skin. It's not completely clear but it's much better than it was a week ago!! I was embarrassed to go out in public a week ago and now I don't feel so self conscious. My old breakouts are clearing up, haven't had any new ones since I started the Zinc, scars are healing very fast. So glad I found this and thanks to all the reviews that convinced me to go out and try it =]

Pros:

Cheap!

Cons:

None that I have to complain about.

It has really cleared up my skin. I had tried several different acne treatment systems and none were giving me the results I wanted, but I started taking Chelated Zinc to help strengthen my immune system, and I noticed my skin was become visibly more radiant, it's been a lot less oily, and my pores aren't as noticeable! I love it! It's definitely worth a try!

Pros:

cheap, natural, also good for immunity and other body components

Cons:

needs to be taken on the long term-- doesn't work within a few days or weeks; give it at least one month

Many people expect vitamins and supplements to be an INSTANT fix-- it's not. Give it time. Make sure you take zinc on a full stomach. Otherwise, you will get very nauseous and potentially bad stomach pain. Do not exceed 50mg in a day but ask a pharmacist for what dose is right for you.

Pros:

Dries pimples, gets rid of oils on you face, dries wounds & cuts

Cons:

none

Im 22 years old, and I have really bad acne. Since I was 14 I have had acne and nothing helped. I tried every acne product I have seen in comercials, god knows Ive tried it all. Not only do I have really bad acne but I have scars from touching my acne and my face was a mess. About 3 months ago my brother told me to try zinc and I did. My face is really clear now.. Right away it started drying the redness in the scars so they were more blended in with my skin, and the acne has dried up, both on my face and on my back.......I do stop using it every time Im completely clear of acne and it returns, so I continue again................... What i usually do is drink a 50MG after dinner once a day, and after a daily shower I take one pill and dissolve it in water on my palm....use just enough water so the pill can become creamy...and rub it on my face, neck, and back.........it really everything out fast...( do it overnight, and you'll see results in the morning for sure).....

A must try for people with acne.
The first time I ever got acne to treat it I just went on birth control so it could level out my hormones and it really worked. For a year I was clear but after about a few months after my acne came back. I went to a dermatologist and she had given me take home products, done extractions, and soft peels every two weeks. My face was getting so much more clear. She also recommended I take zinc (50MG) and fish oil(1200MG). I would take it everyday and I can tell you it has made such a difference. I know you must be saying it was cause of the extraction, peels, etc., but just to tell you I have back/chest acne as well. I did nothing for my back or chest. I started taking the zinc and fish oil in January and I am writing this review in June and my chest/back don't have acne. So give it a try and stay away from dairy!

Love love love!! BEWARE OF NAUSEA!
I have light/moderate acne and I have noticed whenever I take zinc tablets for an extended amount of time my acne seems to die down, and I could not be any more pleased with taking zinc tablets. It is so effective. However, zinc on an empty stomach can cause nausea. Do NOT take this on an empty stomach . Especially if you have a weak stomach. Take with a meal please

Amazing!!!
My acne comes and goes, i dont want to go beyond the limits still its not accutane as what i think as the last resort. I always stick to clean diet especially nondairy diet because it is the number one culprit for my acne. But it seems like my acne wont go away permanently im so depressed because it keeps on returning back whatever i do then i keep on researching and finally read on about zinc deficiency i noticed my right nails got white patches, i got acne, and i get easily tired andnj also read about its promising effects here on this site. I started on 1st of march i bought the chelated zing 30 mg i drank once per night and wow the results are immidiate! The next day most of my cystic acnes were drying up like zinc suck out all of the pus inside im so amazed. But on my 3rd day one pimple popped but it doesnt bother me at all. I know because im having my period soon. I will still give an update after weeks of using this product. ☺️☺️

Pros:

Noticeable improvement in skin
Skin is smoother
Blemishes healed fast

Cons:

Upset stomach if taken without food

I have been dealing with painful cystic acne, large pores, and blackheads for quite some time now. After reading all of the amazing reviews on zinc I went to my local health food store to purchase a bottle about a month ago. Within days I noticed my skin clearing up. As each week passed, my skin got better and better. For the first time since pre-puberty, my face is 98% clear and it's honestly a miracle. If I do get a blemish it heals quickly, my scars are fading, and my overall skin texture is smooth. If you are struggling with acne, save yourself the money on prescriptions and topicals, and get yourself a bottle of OptiZinc by Source Naturals (This is the one I use).
