Pros:

Skin cleared almost completely within days and all redness around scars seemed to fade. I started taking it after a violent breakout as I read that it worked and I was surprised as to how well and how quick.

Cons:

Felt a bit sick shortly after taking it, but it goes quite quickly.

In the past I've been on oxytetracyline, doxycyline, dyferin gel, roaccutane... and nothing has cleared it as well, and as quickly as Zinc. Very impressed. I've only been using it for about two weeks, but already, I look and feel better.

Pros:

IT REALLY DOES WORK! LESS zits and the ones that do come up are very small.

Cons:

you have to remember to take it everyday.

I had been going to dermatologist since i was 13yo. ive tried everything i even went as far as slushing if anyone knows what that is. everything was temp. i got so tired of the chemicals that make your face red and dry and avoiding crowds because of the way i looked. i got on the internet and researched vitamin deficencies and i found where zinc had some research about a antibiotic property it has so i gave it a shot. i now no longer have any chemicals in my house for my acne. i wash my face every morning and every night with regular soap. and i take zinc every day at breakfast. its my miracle drug.

Pros:

Evens out skin tone
Speeds up healing process
Calms inflammation and irritation
Inexpensive
Affective

Cons:

Needs to be taken w/ food or you'll get a bad tummy ache

I've only been taking Zinc for about a week, and I am noticing quite a positive change in the way my skin looks and feels. Had a nasty breakout a few weeks ago, and was getting so frustrated trying to find a gentle/natural solution for all the tiny red bumps and irritation all along the sides of my face and forehead. After reading many reviews on Zinc's effectiveness as an anti-inflammatory, decided to give it a go, and am very happy with what's happening to my face! I find that Chelated Zinc works well as it's formulated to adsorb into the blood stream easier. So, if you have very sensitive skin, I recommend trying this form of acne therapy along with Calamine lotion on affected areas (has Zinc in it) a couple nights out of the week. Really calms and softens the skin!

Saw improvement taking zinc for my sebderm
I like taking zinc tablets for my seborrheic dermatitis. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Many of the shampoos also contain zinc and they work for treating sebderm. I think the most important thing zinc does is to reduce inflammation of the skin cells. I know I don't get enough zinc in my food on a daily basis so I supplement with a vitamin pill.

Pros:

Softer, smoother skin
Cleared my severe back acne in three weeks.

Cons:

Needs to be taken with food
Can cause an iron deficiency.
Zinc blocks the bodies absorption of other vitamins and nutrients, so it needs to be taken seperately from other supplements.

I take one or two 15mg supplements of zinc at bedtime. I take iron supplements and my other vitamins in the morning. I have moderately severe acne on my face, and although I found zinc to make my skin softer, it didn't seem to help the acne on my face or sides of shoulders. However, it has done WONDERS for my back. I have had moderatly severe bacne for six years now. After taking zinc for three weeks the change is unbelievable. My back is 99% clear, the hyperpigmentation has faded significantly and today (after a light application of body makeup) I wore a backless dress for the first time in....years. After only three weeks, I'm absolutely floored. I didn't think a change that drastic was possible. I did absolutely nothing else differently, and applied no products to my back during this time. I feel my confidence beginning to come back slowly, even though my face has a long way to go. I believe zinc is helping my skin all over, it just needs more time to help my face. I'll definitely continue using it, and I'd recommend trying it to anyone suffering from body acne aswell. :)

Pros:

Seems to work pretty well. I still have pimples coming out but the redness is almost completly gone. I'm taking 50mg daily so not to overload my body. Use with gentle soap on your face and results are almost overnight.

Cons:

Makes my stomach a bit ill but it doesn't last long, only a few minutes.

- Easy to swallow. - No unpleasant smell (such as Vitamin B pills that smell horrid!) - Work fast - Not a miracle cure for acne but does help stop redness and breakouts.
