Pros:

Reduces acne considerably
Reduces oiliness
Can get it pretty cheap online

Cons:

May require mega dosing to achieve desired effect
Takes time to start working initially
Must be consistent
Non-online retailers charge a lot for it

B5 (pantothenic acid) is great! I followed a megadosing regimen linked in one of the reviews, and after a couple weeks things started looking better Eventually I had virtually no acne; to make sure it wasn't me thinking I looked better, I stopped taking it cold turkey and things were terrible, and it took a while to recover Eventually the regimen tells you to work down, and while I was never able to fully get off it, I only take 2 500mg tablets a day now and my skin has 1-2 pimples If I forget a dose, I usually flare up but nothing bad While taking b5, I didn't and dont use any other products besides spot treatments--don't even wash my face besides when it gets wet in the shower I never experienced any side effects besides when I was megadosing, it kinda made me farty and my stomach would rumble. So take it with food always, that helps Make sure to keep a bottle for emergencies, if you forget to put in an order online (gmc charges $12~ a bottle). I buy mine from puritans pride, 5 at a time because you get a discount so it comes to about 6$ a bottle, I don't remember. Just search pantothenic acid--puritans pride can even auto-order for you

Pros:

Reduces oil, gets rid of acne

Cons:

none

I began taking Skin B5 time release tablets two months ago. My skin is clearer then it has ever been, less oily, and I no longer need to use topical treatments. I just take three pills a day: morning and night, and once at dinner. I am very happy that I don't have to worry about my complexion anymore.

Pros:

B5 actually works. My acne has completely cleared up. The odd time i get a break out i just increase the dosage (currently on maintenance phase) and the breakout clears up

Cons:

It took approximately 1 YEAR for b5 to completly clear my acne up...

Hang in there...don't expect immediate results or you may be disappointed. B5 will work...if you give it enough time. Most people give up after a couple of months...don't! I don't write reviews lightly and I understand the frustration of acne but B5 does actuall work. I tried every product under the sun including accutane but nothing gave me the results that B5 did

How Many Pills You Take.

Pros:

Cleared Me.

Cons:

None, although shipping from Australia is a little expensive.

I've been using SkinB5 for 2 months and my skin has never been better, no zits for a month now. It's a powder that you mix with water 3x a day, so you don't have to take stupid amounts of tablets every day. Tastes good too. The only thing that has ever worked, i had tried Vilante in the past and that did nothing other than make me feel sick. Thanks SkinB5.

Pros:

Cured my acne

Cons:

expensive if you take a high numberof grams per day

I want to say that 1gram per day may not be enough, you have to increase the dose. I think that or body weight its related to the amount of grams needed to get better results

Pros:

Worked quickly, affordable, effective on cystic acne, no side effects

Cons:

Lots of pills

Like most acne sufferers, I've tried just about everything. I heard about the effectiveness of b5 (panthothentic acid) against hormonal cystic acne so I decided to swing by GNC and give it a whirl. It's been a week, and I am surprised and thrilled with the results. My cysts (on forehead and chin) started to dissipate almost immediately. I've noticed a decrease in my skin's oiliness, and have had no new pimples in the last two days or so. I have noticed an increase in blackheads, (which I can definitely handle over cysts!) but I suspect this is still part of the initial breakout period. I am taking 10 (500mg) pills per day, in five doses of two pills each spread throughout the day. I am also taking a multi-vitamin, and have not had any negative side effects from the B5 at this time. I'm so pleased with the results so far!

Pros:

Not only helps clear acne, but aids for "Energy and Metabolism".

Cons:

NO CONS

After reading message boards, product sites, medical research papers, and any other amount of research I could find I decided to start a daily dose of Vitamin B-50 (I chose it because it has 500% the daily value dose of Pantothenic Acid or Vitamin B5--or 50mg). This vitamin has been said that it aids the healing of acne and prevention of it coming back. I bought my B-50 at a well-known retail store in the pharmacy/vitamin section, and paid about $5 USD. I also take 1 dose of Zinc, 50mg (333% daily value), which I purchased for about $4 USD. Zinc aids in the immune system, fighting and preventing infection, which I have found is my acne problem, "infected pores". I take one pill of each. I've taken these vitamins for 1.5 months now, and my acne has cleared 95%. Using Zinc and B-50 my face is 95% better with little oil. I only break out a tiny bit during the week preceding my monthy cycle. I use a gentle cleanser and put 2.5% benz'l perox on my face nightly+for spot t
