Pros:

My skin has never been so clear!

Cons:

A little pricey

I started using B5 about six weeks ago. My skin started to improve within two weeks. I had pretty bad cystic acne before and nothing my Dr. prescribed helped. My acne killed my confidence. I still get a zit or two, but they disappear within a couple of days unlike before when they hung around for weeks. I've tried so many things and this is the only product that's given me anything to write about. I take 15 pills a day and that seems to do the trick. I also use Retin-A at night and 2.5% Benzoyl in the morning.

Pros:

No acne. Beautiful skin. Being able to live a normal acne free life!

Cons:

You must keep taking it. And you can have gas and the runs for the first week

I'm a 24 year old male who started using this back in 07 when I would have anywhere between 5-10 cystic cysts on my face at a time. No fun at all! I started using 20 pills a day, and within a month, I no longer broke out- but it took a good 6 months for all the old scars and everything to fade away. I cut back on this a couple of months ago, and started to get breakouts again, not as bad, so I upped my dose again to 20-25 pills a day- which is totally safe! I have not broke out once since doing this a month ago. For the past two years, I would have only gotten maybe a zit or two every couple of months, and they were usually gone in two days! You must take this with a B complex. This really is the cure for acne- also, take with zinc for faster healing results! Almost every brand works, just don't get time release- a waste of money! I've been on Accutane twice, and this works much better! Just stick to it, even if you break out initially. Everyone should atleast take the 20 pills a day!

Pros:

seemed to reduce skin oil?

Cons:

made me break out MUCH worse than before, made me feel sick. dried out skin and didn't let anything heal.
Maybe i didn't try it for long enough, but i don't care-this stuff didn't make me feel right at all.

Sounds a little like accutane at first? i dont know cause i haven't been on accutane but my guess is no, they aren't all that similar. No where near the amount of research has been done on b5 as it has been on accutane, so i think accutane might even be safer-hard to tell. Starting at 5 and going up to 10g/ day is so unnatural for your body, and it throws other chemical balances in your body out of wack. ive read good reviews on this (why i went on it) but no matter what they say, i cant imagine megadosing on this stuff is good for you. Save yourself the trouble and don't try it.

Pros:

Far less skin oil, acne only lasts for less than a day and much smaller

Cons:

Alot of pills and a little pricey over time

I have used B5 for about a month and a half now and i would say that it is a very good short term treatment. My confidence has gone up knowing that I have my acne problem under control. I would however recommend doing the program called 'acne free in 3 days' to cure your acne completely. Google it and i know everyone here will be happy. The bottom line is that this product is good for short term, but there is no miracle cure for acne, read 'acne free in 3 days' and you will not have a problem.

Pros:

less oily face, less breakouts (although i still get them)..

Cons:

peeing a lot, a lot of pill swollowing

I'm not to sure if this truely worked only because i had lots of other variables added to my acne clearing regiment such as the apple cider vinegar, and drinking lemons, and using retin-a micro.

Pros:

Less oil, clearer skin

Cons:

price

Be patient. I have been taking B5 for about 1.5 months now and it is starting to work! I take the liquid form and I think this is the way to go. I don't like pills. At first I didn't think anything was happening and I was breaking out worse a few weeks ago but now I am seeing improvement. My skin is feeling better. I have always been healthy..exercise, eat a balanced diet, sleep well etc.. and these are just as important while taking B5. God bless.

Pros:

none

Cons:

none

Went through two bottles so that's about 200 pills within 2 weeks. I know some suggested you have to wait longer to see results, but i'm gonna stop now. Didn't see less oil production or smaller pores etc. I'm gonna try the fish oil regimen now.
