Pros:

works quickly, very inexpensive, significantly reduces existing and future acne breakouts

Cons:

doesn't do much for blackheads or red marks, causes redness and a hot feeling when first applied (this is temporary), smells awful, loses some effectiveness after initial clearing

I started applying apple cider vinegar about a month and a half ago and I'm pleased with the results. I apply it in the morning before I shower, and usually once or twice more throughout the day, sometimes washing it off in the shower and sometimes leaving it on (before bed). Within a day my skin was noticeably more clear, but over time I started to break out again, albeit not nearly as much as before. Unfortunately it also didn't seem to do anything for my blackheads or red marks/scarring. I break out less often than before, though, and breakouts are less severe. Major blemishes are still present once in a while, and last about as long as before, but the ACV seems to generally make acne less frequent.

Pros:

Clears skin, cheap. I've tried tea tree oil, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, vitamin E, and Minocycline (prescription), and nothing worked until I tried apple cider vinegar. This stuff is amazing!

Cons:

I have really sensitive eyes, so being near the vinegar makes them sting, even if it doesn't get in my eyes.

Give it a try. It works!

Pros:

Dried out my pimples, i have a nice glow on my cheeks.

Cons:

Had to get used to the stink, skin feels too tight.

During and after my pregnancy, i got a patch of pimples on my left cheek and ive never had pimples there, not even in high school. I've tried everything, even birth control pills, and usually those pills to make it go away, nothing. My mom started drinking ACV, just to be more healthier, so i went to Whole Foods and bought Braggs ACV and did my research. I drink acv with honey and water and apply acv straight on my skin. This stuff works! All my zits are dried out, no new zits. I almost dont mind the smell but it does dry my face out. I put raw shea butter on my face cuz raw shea butter does not clog pores and its actually an anti-inflammatory. ACV and raw shea butter equal a great combo. I will keep on using ACV, the Braggs kind.

Pros:

The initial smell

Cons:

Keeps rosacea breakouts from becoming worst

I've been suffering with mild to moderate rosacea since 2000. Up until now, I've had to rely on tetracycline or doxycycline whenever a flareup would occur. (usually about two to three months after my last prescription). Doctors are hesitant about simply giving me a full year prescription, so I go thru the same routine every time a flareup occurs. Recently I got fed up and tried vinegar. Although the vinegar doesn't make the rosacea completely disappear, it most certainly keeps it in check until I can get a new prescription. I'm one of those sufferers who's outbreaks are directly tied to hot and humid weather. It's been downright oppressive here lately, and the current flareup hasn't gotten any worse. In the past, the heat and humidity would make the flareup embarrassingly severe. The vinegar is obviously a far cheaper alternative to the overpriced stuff that I've already tried; including the obscenely overpriced (and useless) Metrogel at $150 a tube.

Pros:

Very cheap, dries up skin just enough, has healed a large cystic pimple that was on my chin for WEEKS in just a week. I don't mind the smell :p

Cons:

No real cons that I can see. I know other people don't like the smell, but try using aloe vera gel after applying the vinegar. Works like a charm and I've had cystic acne for years!

Great product, use DILUTED. If you use it undiluted you're asking for irritation; possibly a burn.

Pros:

it dried a big zit on my left cheek that had been bothering me for three full days!!! I woke up this morning and that same zit is not as red as it was, it shrunk and I'm the happiest.

Cons:

so far none... the smell yeah! but my skin already looks better this morning!!!

I just tried it last night for the first time, so I know it's too soon to write a great review about it, but I already saw my big zit (and a few others) dried up and shrunk. I used baking soda mixed with water first as a mask, let it dry for 15 minutes, washed my face completely and applied some apple cider vinegar mixed with a little bit of water with a cotton ball all over my face. Not too much, though. It didn't sting, the smell started bothering me, but after my moisturizer the smell wasn't bad at all. I just did it last night and noticed that my skin improved a little, I'll keep using the ACV every night. The baking soda only three times a week and continue to use my other topical acne medication. See how that goes!!!!

Pros:

Quick, easy, effective, cheap

Cons:

None

I use pure White Vinegar on my face. While not completely clearing it up it sure as hell works just as well as salycic acid spot treatment cream. I put some in a cup and pour it on both sides of my face. While not fantastic it does the same job as salycic acid if not better. Have only tried this for a couple weeks on and off but it works. I imagine continued use will erase 90% of my acne.

Pros:

made skin look and feel smoother...

Cons:

...at first my face went all red and blotchy...i panicked and put lots of cold water on my skin and some aloe vera...now, after about an hour it's all fine and prettyful :) (however, that may have been down to the aloe)

try it, but dilute it (to make sure you don't get the same reaction as me)...if you do go red just put something calming on it and wait, it'll even out nicely eventually :) ...i think i'll be using it again, but diluted this time...

Pros:

Did not further irritate skin.

Cons:

Smells terrible, did not clear skin.

Have to say, this is just another disappointment in the long list of others, as far as I'm concerned. I applied it topically with a cotton pad every night for a week. Nothing happened. Literally. Acne did not get worse, did not get better. I feel like it made my skin a little rough, if anything. Like the feeling you get when you haven't exfoliated in a long time. It just wasn't at all working for me, and given the awful smell, was really no point in continuing.

Pros:

for me, helps keep zits at bay, along with an acid serum from face reality (they are awesome!) and 5% BP. I mix it 1/3 to 2/3 herbal tea (lady's mantle at the moment), freeze into ice cubes, and rub right after cleaning morning and night.

Cons:

Doesn't smell great. But only until it dries.

I recommend a gentle dilution as a way of evening out skin Ph after cleaning, especially if you are already icing your skin.
