Well after reading all these reviews on acne.org i thought i'll give a try to this product; i've had body acne for 5 years now it started when i was 12, i always had a flawless face but my body was/is horrible, my chest and shoulder acne is very mild from the start,i just have a few blackheads and scars which are preventing but my bacne is moderate/severe it's not even been one day since i haven't been depressed about my bacne, i've literally spent all my pocket money over these over the counter crap and still can't get rid of my bacne; but i shall not loose this battle and i will fight till i win. I just hope this product works! *fingers crossed tighgly* am so desperate to get rid of it.

Please give apple cider vinegar a shot!!!
I have tried everything from acne clearing systems to prescription creams and it turns out the answer for my acne was in my pantry the whole time. I was skeptical to use home remedies for my acne because I had always heard that benzol peroxide and other prescription creams were the way to go. However nothing else that I'd tried had been giving me consistent results so I figured I had to just give apple cider vinegar a shot! Now after I have been following my new skin care regimen for 2 weeks I can see a considerable reduction in the frequency and severity of my breakouts along with reduced pore size and an overall more glowing complexion. It sounds too good to be true, but please just try it out for yourself :) I wash my face morning and night with Dr. Bronner's tea tree oil castile soap and then follow with the ACV as a toner. At first I used a 1:3 ACV to water ratio but I now use equal parts ACV and water. I apply this mixture with a cotton ball and dab it all over my face. Lastly I spot treat any pimples with straight ACV on a q-tip. I just hold the q-tip over the problem area for a few seconds. If my face is feeling dry after the ACV has dried I will apply a light moisturizer (I use alba green tea and aloe) as needed. I used to get frequent breakouts all over my face and now I rarely break out and if I do the size of the pimple is much smaller and not as deep. Also, if I feel a pimple coming on at night I will treat it with ACV and in the morning it is hardly noticeable. I really love the way my face feels after transitioning over to all natural products, and my face obviously likes the products too. I wish I had tried out ACV a long time ago and I hope that you try it out for yourself and see results like I did!!!

Is this still working for you?
June 28, 2011

Pros:

works GREAT :)
cheap
1 bottle goes a long way

Cons:

smelly until it dries

ACV has greatly helped with my acne! I started off using it undiluted which was of course silly... my skin was red for days of course. Then I started diluting it 1:1 with water and it is much much better. It felt far more natural. I still apply undiluted acv with a cotton bud onto active pimples without touching the skin around the pimple. It instantly reduces the redness and visible white tip of the pimple (not sure what to call it :) I use it as a toner, so after cleansing. Mostly in the evenings to avoid smelling of vinegar during the day, but if I am at home I will use it twice a day and it works miracles.

Progress finally!
I have had mild to moderate skin coloured spots on my forehead plus chin and extremely oily skin since the age of 11 & it has had a negative impact on my confidence ever since. I have tried countless skin care products over the years and nothing had seemed to work - I even resorted to visiting my gp who prescribed me an ointment that manage to control my acne but not reduce or clear it. I am now 15 years old and my mother has only recently introduced me to the wonders of applying ACV topically to my face in order to reduce my acne and I have never felt more confident and happy with the progress my skin is making. I have been applying it topically to my face for about a month now and although at first my skin did seem to purge & large red cyst like pimples began to appear on my forehead - i had read all the reviews on this site that advised me to stick with it and i'm happy i did because the purging only lasted about a week and from then on its been nothing but slow progress! My skin is much less oily - whereas my face used to be extremely shiny in the past (I now realise my oily skin was the main reason for my spots). I also have much less spots on my forehead, only tiny skin coloured ones here and there and my chin is still slightly spotty but improving. For my skin care routine, I wash my face in the morning with Dove moisturising bar soap (because it helps my skin to not dry out as i do not moisturise during the day) I then apply equal parts diluted ACV on my face with a cotton pad. The smell isn't too bad and it dissapears once your face absorbs it so its not a problem for me. I then apply light powder makeup ontop to cover old pimple scars and go about my day. Before I go to bed I wash my face again to get rid of dirt and oils and use clean and clear exfoliating face wash in order to unclog my pores, I then apply diluted ACV all over. To conclude, I am extremely happy with the progress my face is making and I hope this review does not jinx anything :( All I know is that it has been a refreshing change from buying chemical products that have not had an effect on my face at all all these years. One tip I will give anyone willing to start using the ACV method is that no matter what happens STICK WITH IT, it may seem bad if you ourge at firt but trust me it gets worse before it gets better!

Pros:

Skin still smooth.(worked for acne at first, but acne came back)
Cheap.
Will work again if I stop using for awhile (alternate)

Cons:

It stopped working for my acne after a month.
Irritates my pimples now.
Oily skin came back.

THIS IS AN UPDATE! I posted my history a few posts below. It did work for me for about a month. I think skin just gets use to topical remedies and always ends up beating them. I think if I lay off of the vinegar and use something else for a few weeks it will most likely work again. I still say it works great though, when it does work HA!

Help!?
I have been battling acne for quite some time now. I have tried all store bought things and even went to a few different dermatologist but nothing works. I already have a lot of scar marks, large pores and so on included with my acne. Well about a week or two ago I heard about Apple Cider Vinegar used for acne so I decided I would read on it and try it out. I seen a few different directions on how to use it so I started out using 2 part water 1 part vinegar and dabbed it on my face with a q tip, left it on for bout 30 min and rinsed. I did this a couple times a day for about 3 days. I did not see any results. I took a break from using it for 2 or 3 days. Well last night I was reading about it again along with a few other things. I read holding ice on your face for a few minutes helps reduce pores. So I figured I would try this along with what I had just read about apple cider vinegar. So last night I washed my face, wrapped a few ice cube in a rag and held it on my face for a few minutes, then I mixed 1 part vinegar 1 part water and soaked a cotton ball in it and used that to wipe it on my face, I left it a few minutes then rinsed it and followed with moisturizer. This morning I woke up with two red areas on my cheeks just right before the cheek bone. They do not hurt or anything they are just bbig red spot on both sides. Why did this happen? Is it normal? Am I doing this right? I need help ! I just am ready to win my battle of acne!!!

You burned your skin. You cannot freeze skin and then apply acid (apple cider vinegar). Cover the area with neosporin and leave it alone.

Pros:

Clears up cysts
Makes post-acne scars lighter
Minimizes pores
Helps to tame that terrible hormonal acne that pops up with mother nature

Cons:

Nothing!
(Maybe smell, but personally I'd rather this scent than some fake perfume)

I encourage everyone who suffers from acne (whether it be cystic, hormonal etc.) to please give ACV a try! Basically I've suffered from acne for years - I get cysts around my jawline along with minor pimples during that time of the month. I started using ACV as a toner about 5 days ago and I am not exaggerating, I have seen a complete change in my skin! My scarring is visibily reduced. The cysts somehow are being minimized and other pimples drying out. My Routine: I dilute the ACV and put it on at night as a toner. Then in the morning I use it as a toner again again but this time I wash it off with Aveeno's face bar. Once my skin completely clears up I am going to just use it as a toner every other night. Please this goes out to everyone acne sufferer, try this! You know that feeling you had when your skin used to be clear, but yet now you have somehow forgotten what it feels like? I had that great clear skin feeling today! For the first time in years! Please do try, you won't regret it!

Calms reddening
Decreases pore size
Tones skin quickly
Effective!

Cons:

Burns a bit

I saw an improvement in the tone of my skin almost immediately. This morning, pimples on my forehead had completely disappeared and the scars I have on my cheeks appeared lighter and again my tone is awesome. I'll check back in a week...

Pros:

All natural, refreshing, works great as a pH balancing toner. Can't beat the cost.

Cons:

Smells like vinegar (but smell fades quickly), Slight sting especially on broken skin.

I use regular Great Value ACV diluted with green tea solution as a toner. I love it! You can splash it or dab it on with a cotton pad. It helps heal scarring and reduce redness from previous acne. I use in combination with Dan's 2.5% BP and OTC cleanser & moisturizer. I stay acne free for the most part this is a huge improvement for me considering I used to have huge cystic acne all over my face. Now it's more of an occasional little bump. Recipe: 1 cup boiling water, 2 green tea bags steeped for 20 min. 3 parts tea to 1 part ACV.

Pros:

cleared up some

Cons:

brought unwelcoming cysts

Diluted it and put it on my face. I also made a drink with it and drank it 3 times a day. My jawline acne cleared up, but then new cysts started to form on my forehead. Try it. It might work. It might not. I think most of these reviews on this site are fake anyways.
