Pros:

it just helps :)

Cons:

smell and taste, it stings a bit

I use a regular facewash 1-2 times a day and in the evenings I then use some apple cider vinegar like a tonic, I also use scrub 2 times a week. My face has not been so clear in years! For my sensitie/mixed skin, this is a great solution :D.

Pros:

None, especially when you're trying to clear up acne in a week or two.

Cons:

Made things way worse, and I'm still trying to get over the scars a month later.

I used apple cider vinegar as a toner on face face 3 times a day, for about a week and a half. I'm not really sure how this worked for everybody else except me, and its really dissappointing. By the second day of using this, I got like 15 new pimples, in spots I normally dont get them at all. And the ones that were already there were brought to a head and became more noticecable. I kept on using this daily, but things just kept on popping up. So I decided to stop using it, and my face returned back to its same old self. I was hoping this cleared up my acne by a big Christmas party I had, but it just made it worse. I will never try apple cider vinegar again.

Pros:

Helps with red marks
brings cysts to a head faster
seems to help prevent new zits

Cons:

kinda stinky (but I'm used to it)
have to use consistently
may cause minor IB

So far, so good. I use the Spectrum organics raw unfiltered kind. I apply 1/2 water, 1/2 ACV plus 2-3 drops of Tea Tree Oil toner to my face 2x daily, Also, I make a poultice of the toner on flat cotton pads and let it sit on my problem areas for 10-20 minutes. It helps to flatten and heal pustules and cysts. I have had a couple new spots spring up in the 10 days I've been using it but it may just be bringing clogged pores to the surface. I read on the message boards that this helps you restore your skin's acid mantle. I'm a believer.

Pros:

It works and is inexpensive.

Cons:

If you use it as a topical and work out later, you'll bring the vinegar smell back up. It stings if you have open wounds.

I started using this after I realized I was getting some perioral dermatitis along with acne. I've been using it for a week and my perioral dermatitis is almost completely gone and I have 1 pimple today. 1!!!!! I usually get multiple spots per day. I've tried accutane 2x, brevoxyl, aczone, clindamycin, benzaclin, differin, tazorac, sulfur wash... The organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar is what has helped the most. I still use tazorac at night. I use the vinegar diluted 50/50 as a toner after washing. I let it dry and then moisturize.

Pros:

It works!
Has tons of uses
Can apply topically and/or drink to get the benefits
Cheap!

Cons:

For some people, it takes awhile to get used to the smell...but I think it fades quickly after you put it on the skin topically.

I'm in my 40's and my hormones are all out of whack...I have been getting the typical acne bumps along the jawline/hairline/neck and on the chin...I guess you could classify it as moderate acne breakouts. My doc wanted me to try spironolactone, but I am hesitant to use oral meds (especially after reading some of the side effects) so I opted for topical treatment. I have been using Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar (with "The Mother") undiluted on my face twice daily...and it is working very well. Although some people dilute it with water, I find I don't need to....it doesn't irritate my skin at all (this might be because my skin has built up a tolerance to glycolics and Retin-A). I use it after I cleanse my face in the am and before I put on Dan's BP. At night, I use it after I cleanse and before I apply my Retin-A. I have also started to drink a little bit daily (mixing it in my water). The little bumps are going away and my pores appear smaller...and it's only been a week. I hope with long term usage it continues to work. It also helps control oil in the T-zone area. As a side note, I got a really bad sunburn on my legs...and used this on it. It took the sting out immediately and healed it quickly. I think it is important when buying to get the kind that has "The Mother" in it. Best of all....it is cheap and has many other uses! It's always nice to find a product that is low cost AND works...highly recommend!

Pros:

Economical, easy, softens skin, regulates the correct ph skin level

Cons:

Odor is unpleasant, regimen takes a while to clear acne

I came across an article by an underground 1970s cult actress/ icon, Cookie Mueller, who wrote a guide on how to get rid of pimples. She outlined a regimen that involved adding equal parts apple cider vinegar to equal parts water and to apply this directly to the face with a cotton ball every night before bed and every morning. She also prescribed a vitamin intake of Cod Liver Oil; two-tablespoons a day in liquid form and to eat a lot of Brewers Yeast. I followed this regimen for about a month, and got a little dissapointed with the results. I kept following the regimen for about a month longer, and most of my larger pimples had cleared, but the redness and mid to smaller blemishes still remained. I have found other remedies, such as the egg white mask, to work faster and more effectively. Although the vinegar regimen does work somewhat, it takes a very long time to see any results, and the smell makes you think twice if it is really worth it.

Pros:

Overall skin condition improved - less overall redness.
Limits new breakouts when used as a toner.
Appears to have reduced sebum production.
Good overall health drink to cleanse from inside out.

Cons:

Leaves nasty long lasting red marks when used as a topical spot treatment.

I use this as a toner with water and it has improved the overall look of my skin, and I drink a lot of it with water as well during the day (good appetite suppressant). When I first started using ACV I used waaaaaay to much of the straight stuff as spot treatment - bad idea! The acne got worse and even produced more pus as they were supposed to be healing ?!?! After about a month I still have red marks where the spots were, but at least they have healed (using aspirin as an alternative spot treatment). So stick with ACV as a light toner and drink, and use aspirin if you need treatment on specific areas.

A miracle!
Okay just to start, I am a 19 year old female who has battled minor acne throughout high school. I used proactive which kept everything at bay and my complexion was almost flawless. Around August of 2015, I began breaking out on my forehead and some on my chin and jawline. I began the oil cleansing method which cleared up my skin almost completely. I then started taking a probiotic supplement at the beginning of November and my skin broke out the worst ever. My forehead was covered in red angry acne that only Got worse even after stopping the probiotics. My chin crews clusters of red acne and some scattered along my cheeks. I tried what felt like everything from "leaving it alone" to oil cleansing to benzoyl peroxide. I was waking up with multiple new zits everyday and I cried almost everyday. It effected my confidence so much. I then came across ACV as a toner. I had heard about it before but didn't think it would ever do anything. One night I decided to dilute it with water, apply it as a toner to a clean face and go to bed. No moisturizer, nothing. I woke up with my skin less red. So I stuck with it and it has been one week and my skin has cleared up about 75% of the way which is insane to me! I am so incredibly happy with the results, as my acne has put me through so much emotional stress and ruined my confidence. Now my routine is this: Wake up in the morning and apply 1:1 ratio of diluted ACV with water as a toner. That's it. If if I wore makeup that night for work, I remove it using castor oil and sunflower oil with the oil cleansing method. I then apply ACV diluted as a toner. No moisturizer. My skin is slightly dry but it's a good thing because it's drying out all of my acne! I can't wait to see the results that come after using it more and more. If you have acne and nothing is getting rid of it, I would try this. My skin is sensitive and I cannot use chemicals from products, even moisturizer because it irritates my skin so much

Pros:

*Clears Acne
*Fades Scars (Red Marks) With time though
*Fixes Complexion (Toner)
*Tightens Face and Reduces Pores (smoother skin)
*Cheap and Natural
*Stays on Face, but smell goes away (This is good, it's fighting bacteria all day!)

Cons:

*Smells (Doesn't matter to me, though it does to others)
*Stings (Means it's working)

I've been using Apple Cider Vinegar for about 3-4 weeks now. In May, during finals I broke out and it never stopped the pimples keep coming back! I got a cyst (acne that hurts) and then it spread. I used products that calmed my acne down, but I still kept breaking out in the same area ( on forehead and between eyebrows). I've been fighting that battle (acne still in the same spot) since mid july! Then I started using Apple Cider Vinegar. Alright, people could get discouraged by using this product, but it is AMAZING! You have to give it at least 3 weeks. I know... I know that's a lot of time but you will get clear skin. So in the beginning when I started using ACV, my pimples got really red, so did my acne marks! Then they started to scab (one or two pimples)... THIS IS NORMAL! The vinegar gets down the the roots so to speak. I got discouraged because they where redder and more visible... Then it happened... My acne was going away and the redness was clearing up!! I had a huge red mark that completely vanished, and I didn't even scar. I'm not breaking out in that spot anymore and my mother even complemented my complexion. Today, I didn't wear make up! Everyone, this stuff is amazing. If you can get passed the acne getting redder and scabbing (healing process) then find something else. But this gets down into your skin and destroys acne with a vengeance! I will use this for the rest of my life! Please give it a try. I put my ACV in a little spray bottle (travel size, you can buy at Target or Wal-mart) and spray on my face twice a day. Sometimes only at night, though. Remember it does sting for awhile, but that means it's working :) You can also use some cotton balls and wipe all over your face. Do not rinse off, leave it on. Even if you put it on in the morning. The ACV will work throughout the day, killing the acne. Don't pass this up, ACV is a great natural way to clear ac
