Turmeric YOU GET A 100 STARS
I have suffered with acne most of my life ( I am 40 ). I have tried everything out there, spent a lot of money on online products with little or no results. So I gave up and tried to deal with it the best I could. Then one day I came across a Turmeric face mask video on youtube.....I thought WOW hmmmm it's worth a shot. So let me tell you all out there......MY FACE STARTED TO CALM DOWN!! Which is huge progress cause I dealt with the redness, acne, large bumps.....you name it. I do the mask that calls for one teaspoon of Turmeric/one teaspoon of milk/one teaspoon of honey mix all together and apply with a face brush/ leave on for 30min/you should have enough for three days it keeps well in the refrigerator.....and it leaves my skin so soft like butter or baby skin. I do it three days a week in a row. People have even ask me what am I doing different....never had that responds before. I can not say enough about Turmeric it's wonderful....just wish I knew about this years back! Anyone reading this it is worth it to try it for yourself! And thank for hearing my story....PS my goal is not having to wear makeup once all my scars heal :-)

I can't believe I didn't try this sooner
In less than a month, my skin has undergone a TOTAL transformation. I am 25 years old and have been suffering from mild acne since I was 17. I can honestly say that I've tried (almost) everything, from changing my diet, using products, different acne treatments and oral medications. I tried benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, fatty-acids, hyaluronic acid, natural products, scientific/pharmaceutical grade products - you name it! I started making my own face mask that consists of turmeric, natural aloe juice (no sugars or anything added), wildflower honey and (yes I know some would advise against this) tap water. I use the treatment about 3 times a week by applying the mask to my entire face. This mixture lasts for about a week - sometimes I add a little bit more water if the consistency gets too hard and not-so-easy to apply. Looking back on all the money I've spent, and the damage I've done to my face from using harsh products, I'm just sick with the claims cosmetic and skin care companies make. I've been promised that I would have beautiful skin by so many cosmetic companies, but their products have done nothing but suck the nutrients, the moisture and the elasticity from my skin. For a total of $30 (Canadian), I've invested in a skin care regime that has eliminated by acne, lightened acne scars, gotten rid of flaky skin (caused from over-drying products), evened my skin tone and reduced the depth of wrinkles around my eyes. ($30 = $4 turmeric powder, $20 aloe juice, $6 natural wildflower honey) Please, please, please try this before you spend any more money on useless products that claim to improve your acne.

Get it!
I had acne since 5 years now. My skin is VERY sensitive and I've had blemishes for 5 years too. Tried proactiv, neutrogena, cetaphyl, microderm facial, you name it! NOTHING worked. NOTHING. It has been 4 days now since I started having turmeric in my life and guess what? I see a difference! My skin has toned down quite a lot and my skin complexion has gone brighter as well! Here's what I do: 1) Turmeric detox solution:
- less than half tsp of turmeric powder
- lemon (half)
- 1 tsp of honey I mix this all in hot water then drink it. Every night or morning. 2) Turmeric face mask:
- less than half tsp of turmeric powder
- lemon (half)
- 1 tsp of honey I mix this all and create a mask. I put it on for... 20 mins? Then I wash it all off. When your skin is breaking out, it's because your body is trying to tell you something. Don't tone it down with creams and pills. Go for a more healthier option!

Yeah!
Hey peeps, so I'm gonna be brief and simple -not to bore you-
I battled with acne since I was a teen, it wasn't extreme but it was very persistent and just wouldn't go away.
I decided one day to dump all chemicals and shift to natural remedies, as they say: "You can't put things on your face that you wouldn't eat." Which I strongly believe in. What worked:-
1- Apple Cider Vinegar:- Raw ACV with the mother in it, worked like magic with me.
2- Olive oil:- Wonderful! Although I warn you, don't use it on a daily bases, and preferably after you steam your face. Also, preferably not to sleep in, as it can smudge all over the dirt on your pillow cases and sheets.
3- Lemon in diluted water:- Amazing! But also, heads up! Not to be used daily, regardless of your skin type.
4- Steam:- This has been the best grounds for starting any natural remedy, as it opens up your pores and helps with blood circulation. If you wanna smudge anything on your face, do it right after!
5- Honey + Olive oil + Lemon + Mashed banana:- INCREDIBLE! ESPECIALLY AFTER FACE-STEAM!!! Highly recommend this one, as it suits ALL SKIN TYPES. It acts as basically.. EVERYTHING.
6- Regularly consuming over 2-3 mugs of fresh green tea. Results take weeks to months to manifest, but it's highly effective when it becomes an-every-day regime. Promise!
7- Turmeric! Amazing! Just mix it with any other natural ingredient (honey, olive oil, coconut oil with lemon, etc) and don't keep it on for too long (30 minutes is good) and it works really well. Don't worry about the stains, they go off on their own quickly, you don't have to over-wash and dry your face, you'll wake up totally NOT looking like a simpson. ;) What didn't work:-
1- Retin A:- Dried up my skin and cured the acne, but I broke out all over again just weeks later. Baaaaaaad.
2- Overly washing the face with harsh soap:- The most important thing about keeping a healthy skin is MOISTURIZING! If your skin is dry on a regular basis, expect to break out. Trust me on this one.
3- Scented soap, oil, etc.. Anything scented, will MOST PROBABLY IRRITATE YOUR SKIN.
4- Toothpaste. Really bad choice. It dries up your skin, and it contains SLS (Sodium Sulfate LaurylLauryth). Baaaaaaaad.
5- Antibiotics. It takes too long to explain this one, but trust me, if anyone tells you they get cleared up afterwards, will not be followed by the fact they get break-outs again. It's not effective on the long run. And the re-break-outs, they're worse. Basically guys, don't let your skin get dependent on anything, thus don't overuse any treatment (especially if you are into chemical ones). The skin gets dependent, so when you stop using the product you'll just break out all over again. And this is where natural remedies kick in for the rescue, most of them don't cause dependence, nor irritation (if used in low to moderate times per dayweekmonth -it depends-. If ya'll got any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer!

Powdered Gold!
I honestly can't believe this doesn't have more reviews due to all the hype about Turmeric lately! This amazing natural spice, in conjunction with ACV, is solely responsible for clearing up my skin. I already wrote a post about ACV (which is liquid gold)...well this sh*t is powdered gold! I literally have not had this clear of skin since...um, ever?
I use a brand name turmeric from the regular grocery store, it's super cheap. I've been using a variety of masks with this stuff for a little over a week, and have already seen dramatic results.
The masks I have tried are:
- Turmeric + honey (good, but messy - use in the bath!)
- Turmeric + milk + rice flour (really hard to get off, it cakes on the skin, prob my least fave mix)
- Turmeric + Aztec Healing Clay + ACV (my favorite so far)
I have yet to try it with plain yogurt, but I plan to and I will update my review :) Within the first few applications I could see my skin getting brighter with more of the "glow" that people talk about. Within the next few times my scars are visibly reduced (still there, nonetheless, but much lighter than before). My skin is always super soft after washing the mask off and breakouts are minimized. YES - it does stain. And yes, you will look like you have frolicked in a mustard field or have baby diarrhea on your face (sorry, but it's true.) But honestly with how well it works, it isn't even really an issue for me, you just have to be extra careful! It will stain the sink, clothes, but your face will only be temporarily stained I promise :) I apply it at night, and after my morning shower there are no traces of oompa loompa skin! Yay!
Anyways, give it a try, I have found my new holy grail skin care item and I highly recommend it!

I love it !
Before three months I started to have some serious hormonal cystic acne and of course it left me scars. I was doing a lot of things for it with expensive creams and soaps etc. I said to myself that I will try to find some home natural remedies and this is just jackpot. I used it two times and I saw so big diffrerence in my skin. It was shiny, soft, beautiful and redness go away. I repeat it every day, sometimes with lemon juice, sometimes without. I mix honey and tumeric, put it on my face and leave it 20-30 minutes. After I clean it with water ( (goes very easy) and let my skin relax. It's perfect and I repeat it every day in the afternoon. Sometimes I also add lemon juice for my scars but that's up to you. Recommend 1000000%â¤ï¸

I'm in awe!
I've suffered from a chronic, esteem-crushing case of cystic acne for probably 9 months now. My confidence has sunk to levels it hasn't been since high school. I dropped a lot of money on different products, trying to find a miracle combination of them that would clear my bumpy, uneven skin. We all know the struggle. In my hours of cystic acne research, I briefly read that turmeric makes a good mask, but I sort of laughed it off because I thought it would stain your skin yellow and you'd end up with jaundice-looking skin. Anyways, two nights ago I was feeling a little desperate. I had two painful cysts on the lower part of my face (which has been the norm lately), but worse was a third painful one on my forehead, which hasn't been the case before. My forehead has been clear for all these months and I was worried it was spreading! I decided to do a anti-inflammatory honey mask with some cinnamon to exfoliate, when I found turmeric powder in my spice drawer and decided to toss some in (maybe a teaspoon), because like I said, I was desperate. I left the mask on for about 20 minutes and rinsed it off. There was no staining and my skin felt really refreshed and "alive". I decided to take it up a notch and rubbed some of the mixture onto my cysts and covered them with a bandaid to leave overnight. I've done that before with regular honey and have had moderate success with it, but I was AMAZED with how well it worked with the turmeric!! When I woke up, the cyst on my forehead was gone entirely, and the other two had shrunk down and were no longer hurting! I tried it again last night and they are shrunk almost completely. I have never had any store bought product work so quickly and effectively, no matter how "fast-acting" it claimed to be. There is some staining after being on the skin for so long but it washes off nicely with a little water. I have yellow-y undertones in my skin so it might not be as bad for me than for someone with very pale skin. I got a henna tattoo once and it lasted only a few days while my very fair friend's lasted nearly a month! So if you're concerned I'd start out with a pinch or two at first and work your way up to see what is the best amount for your skin. I have a feeling that you don't need a lot of this miracle stuff to see affects!

Best Acne treatment EVER
I've had acne for YEARS. I've tried everything from prescriptions, store bought products, and other home remedies. As a result of all of my acne i have awful acne scars everywhere. I mix turmeric with some fresh squeezed lime juice and put it on my face for about 30 mins to an hour every night. Even after a week of using this I AM IN LOVE. Threw away all of my other acne products, even the expensive ones, and swear i will never use an acne face wash on my face ever again. (I still use a face scrub but not one with any benzoyl peroxide or anything like that). It's a little staining on the skin but will wash off with a face scrub. I take the vitamin turmeric once daily too. This product is sincerely my saving GRACE!!!!!!!!!!

Helped improve the appearance of my skin in 7 days
Cons:
can stain skin temporarily
As many long time acne sufferers, I feel like I have tried every, cream, gel, cleanser, and pill -- including accutane -- on the market. My acne has diminished after one course of accutane but due to its multiple side effects, I refused to do another course of it, and I do still get acne. This week, it was particularly bad my skin was majorly POed at me. I remembered something my mom used to tell me about -- turmeric for the skin. It really is a natural beauty treatment thats been used in India for centuries. To this day, brides and bridegrooms alike get slathered in gram flour and turmeric pastes before their weddings (traditional and a full body facial all at once lol) and you'll find a lot of skin products from India and other parts of the world where turmeric is used more generously in beauty products. I improved the appearance of my skin in about 7-9 days using this mask once a night and a cleansing with a purpose soap bar in the morning and before applying the mask (which doubles as a exfoliating scrub!): -- yogurt
-- turmeric
-- sea salt
-- cinnamon I'm not saying that my acne is totally gone, or this is necessarily going to work for you, but it did for me. My inflamed acne lesions are almost all gone (I had a lot) and the red marks they left behind are fading and my face actually feels smoother (all of those tiny bumps on my face FINALLY seem to be going away ). Some words of advice if you do try this mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes only. Leaving it on too long will allow the turmeric to stain your skin more deeply, and it'll make getting it off a pain. (don't worry if it does stain your skin though, it'll come off! Watch out for clothes though, it WILL stain those). Also use an old pillowcase at night, even if you think you got all of the turmeric off, you probably didn't and it'll rub off during the night and right onto your pillowcase! This isn't an instant remedy so if you're looking for immediate results, I'd look elsewhere. BUT if you're looking for an all natural and gentle way of improving your skin, I'd at least give turmeric a chance!
Pros:
All natural
helped clear acne and reduce appearance of hyperpigmentation
