Observing new zits!
I have been using honey and turmeric paste since last 4 days. On the first day, I observed a little improvement in the redness, I thought it is working for my skin. I applied the same paste on my skin after washing with Neutrogena Oil free acne wash, I did this for 4 days. But I am observing several new painful zits popping out of my skin. Should I continue applying the same paste or is there any other technique to apply the paste? Please advice.

I think its because you're overdoing it. Only use the mask 2 times per week and maybe you can add other ingredients such as plain yogurt, rice flour/gram flour to complete the formula.

Turmeric Face Mask
Me and my cousin decided to do a turmeric face mask consisting of turmeric powder natural yoghurt and a little honey. I had heard great reviews about this. As I took it off I was left with red and burning skin. Very disappointed as I had high hopes

Same! I don't think turmeric works for sensitive skin. Like mine

Pros:

none

Cons:

- burns skin

Listen carefully: I used this for the first time. I am currently using Retin-A. I didn't know turmeric would irritated my sensitive skin to the point where my skin was burning the whole night. My skin was red, hot and painful to the touch. I am warning all of those who are using any kind of acne treatment: do not use this! Turmeric is very harsh on it sown. I will review it again after my Retin-A course. I know for a fact turmeric is excellent. I am just warning all of those who are in the same boat as me.

Pros:

Didn't do much

Cons:

Yellow everything
Smells weird
Expensive

I tried turmeric (both topically and pill form) for my moderate acne. Long story short, it simply did not work. If you decide to use it topically, it will definitely dye your skin yellow. Some soaps are better than others at washing it off, but for the most part, nothing works that well. The pill form, curcumin, also didn't work. I took the Nature's Bounty brand for about a month before giving it up. I see that this treatment has worked for others in the past, but it just didn't work for me. Go see your dermatologist.
