Bactrim/Septra : (trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole) Oral Antibiotic

I have been in bactrim for more than 40 days, it sops new acne on the first days itself. But blemishes took more than a month to disappear. It stops acne on the first day itself because its stops skin swelling .....If skin swelling stops, automatically no new acne.but blemishes wil not easy disappear if no skin swelling so u need a topical medicine to make the blemishes to fell. In the last year and half of derm visits, this has been the only thing that worked after all other topicals and antibiotics failed. I've tried Bactrim twice before short term (2 months each time), and both time it completely cleared my acne 100%. I stopped getting new pimples after the second day. And no side effects for me. Now I've finally gotten the long term prescription and I couldn't be happier.

I have been on Bactrim since Feb. 2011 and it's finally working well. I haven't had a pimple the past month, however, it did take 2 months for my existing and new acne to stop surfacing and become clear. It was slow-working for me, but with patience, it kicked in. Be sure to drink lots of water with the medication and also be sure to wear a hat or some sort of cover when out in the sun. It makes you very sun-sensitive! -Also, be sure to take a probiotic when taking this medicine. It is a very strong medicine and my Dr. said it was a step right below Accutane. Monitor your body and fluid intake while on this. This isn't a permanent cure, but once it kicks in (and that can take a few months for some people, like me), you will find relief for your acne. I am 25 years old and have had acne for 10 years. I have tried Accutane 2 times, all the topical gels, and other antibiotics. Bactrim is the first thing that has worked for me besides Accutane. Bactrim stopped new acne from day 1 and I have been on it 1 month today and have no new acne! I am very surprised, and pleased, as I was a skeptic.

used it with retina micro. in just 3 days i noticed very less white stuff coming out. that meant it was working. i persisted and i know iam 98 percent clear. previously retina a alone didnt work that well and i was only 56 % clear. i take one each day therefore probably i havent experienced any sideeffects yet. avouar

take this if you have bad acne and have tried a whole lotta meds. side note: the depression people get when taking acne meds in my opinion is because you have acne and cant get rid of it or are scared to get it again or something to that effect. ive taken a buttload of pills and never became extra depressed. my depression always stemmed from the fact that i had acne.

This is an awesome prouduct im only on day five and am seeing great results. Ill review this in a month at full results.
