Pros:

The first pro is that it ACTUALLY WORKS! It also dries clear and does not dry my skin out too much.

Cons:

NONE.

This is the only thing that has worked on my skin. I developed acne in my mid-twenties and went through hell trying to find something that worked. I spent hundreds of dollars on doctors, medicines and expensive over the counter products. I finally decided to do some internet searching and found acne.org. It is unbelievable how quickly this stuff gets rid of acne. I'm so glad I found this and wish I'd found it much sooner. I've already ordered three more bottles for family and friends. This is the best stuff on the market for acne.

Pros:

Clears up skin better than anything I have ever used. Large bottles last a long time so it works out reasonably cheap. Doesn't seem to bleach fabric as bad as other BP products I have used.

Cons:

Can make your face red, I still get red marks on my face sometimes even after 3 months of use. Takes a long time to absorb into the skin.

This stuff works, I used to use a 4% cream which bleached my bedding and clothes far worse than this 2.5% gel. The cream I used didn't work any where near as well as this, I used to wake up every day with new spots now it is rare that I wake up with any new spots. Most of the month I am spotless. I would recommend this to anyone, try it and don't quit because it can take a month or two. I don't know what I would of done if I hadn't found this!!

Pros:

It Works! I've tried several prescription antibiotics and creams, which did nothing. Dan's BP gel is the ONLY thing after a few years of having acne that improved my skin.

Cons:

The first few weeks of using the BP made my face itch and reddened and burned if it got in my eyes; over time it decreased and now it doesn't even affect me.

The key for me to having this work is to consistently wash my face twice per day; I notice a big difference if I even miss one washing. The Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer is very gentle and works great. I've also been taking 50mg of Zinc every day which may or may not help. ALSO: I must declare how important it is to stop picking at your skin. Be patient and it will work!

Pros:

Gel based, goes on clear, easy to spread, quickly dries, very effective, doesn't irritate, cheap compared with alternatives

Cons:

Packaging made it hard to dispense

I love this product. I used to use a 10% BP cream. It would make my face extremely red and flake like crazy. I then discovered 2.5% BP and bought some of the Neutrogena On-the-Spot. I didnt like the cream because it took a while to absorb. The price of the tube is expensive seeing as it lasted me about a week. Then I discovered this. Its amazing. I recommend this to everyone. Regarding my only con: I ordered the 2 oz sample to try and I am extremely satisfied. The packaging is slighly annoying because you have to squeeze the bottle and when you start to get low you have to open the top to get the remaining product out. I'm sure once i order one of the bigger bottles with the push down dispenser, my problem will be solved. (Price includes shipping)

Pros:

It really does work!

Cons:

Takes time to use correctly, 5-10 minutes.

Together with the regimen as a whole this stuff WORKS! I've tried Pro-Activ, Retin-A, Salicylic Acid, Antibiotics, and Stridex. None of them worked and Retin-A made me worse. After 8 weeks, I am 80-90% clearer than i was before. Not perfect yet but well enough that I no longer look towards social events hoping that my face will be clear so I can go. I definetly have no problem going in public at all, my face feels normal like every other 21 year old guy, a small pimple or two here or there....and I love it. Give this stuff a try, you see results after day one and it just keeps getting better week after week util the breakouts are very manageable and small.

Pros:

Cheap and effective

Cons:

Sweats off easily

Much cheaper than other 2.5% benzoyl peroxides and it works just as well. Definitely recommended as an alternative to Neutrogena On-the-Spot. Unfortunately this product sweats off easily on hot days, even after it's dried on to the skin. It still works if you only use it at night, but it's more effective if you can use it 24/7.

Pros:

Large tube, economical. Seems to help hydrate my skin, especially when weather gets cold/dry. Absorbs well into skin. Helps keep my skin clear, more radiant.

Cons:

Takes longer to dry to touch than most other products. You can just fan your face with your hand or something to speed up drying.

This is my second reorder and I'm ordering 3 tubes this time. I have oily skin (like my dad and grandpa) but now that I'm mid-thirties it is also dry. I have used antibiotics in the past as well as Retin-A, Brevoxyl, Benzac, etc. and they helped, but left my skin pretty dry. The Dan Kern 2.5% gel feels great on the skin and helps decrease dryness while clearing it up. It is good that the gel doesn't contain alcohol, which can dry out skin more. The dermatologist told me previously that I could likely only suppress the acne instead of cure it. The gel will bleach fabrics (or make them turn orange/yellow), but so will ALL Benzoyl peroxide products (and hydrogen peroxide does too). I just use an undershirt on top of my pillowcase at night to protect it. Thank you, Dan, for offering your product at a good price and a large size (and fragrance free) P.S. I use Neutrogena on the spot or other cream for my nose/forehead since they get more 'shiny' if I don't.

Pros:

Washed my face with Cetaphil, followed up with this gel & moisturized. My face cleared up in a few days.

Cons:

None so far.

I'm 29 & have struggled with cystic acne since I was 15. I tried Accutane twice & many other cleansers, lotions, pills, etc. This product has done wonders for my skin, my old scars & my confidence. Thank you Dan :)
