Acne.org : Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.5%)

if your gonna use BP, you mind as well as use one that doesn't irritate and is very smooth. I've only used couple of weeks so I can't tell you much of my acne clearing, but my cysts are getting smaller and it is much less red. However, I find that after using this BP, new pimples are coming at faster rate, forming zits faster, and sometimes it will spread to next pore, creating several tiny zits. Not sure if it's because of BP. But so far I like it more than any other BPs I've used and definitely will keep using it. If you moisturize well after each use, you won't dry as much and should be fine.

This stuff is amazing. I think this stuff should be sold in stores worldwide, and needs to replace all the garbage we see in stores now. While I don't follow the regimen as Dan recommends, this product worked to get rid of my light acne within two weeks. I apply a dime sized amount morning and night and this works for me. Please give this a try, you won't be sorry

This stuff works amazingly. I have used so many bp products throughout the 13 years I have had acne. None have worked as well as Acne.org's regimen. I have always had very tiny bumps all over my forehead and cheeks along with breakouts of actual pimples. This product got rid of both. It worked within weeks. I wash with just a regular soap (Dr.Bronner's liquid soap or Dove bar) and then apply this after my face is dry. Watch the videos of how to apply the stuff, and how much to use, they are helpful. After it dries you apply lotion over it. If you don't use the lotion your face will feel really dry and weird. At first I was kinda nervous about putting lotion on my face because it's kind of a taboo when you have acne because you feel like anything that touches your face will clog your pores and give you more zits. But that obviously didn't happen. I use the Acne.org lotion and it works fine, and it doesn't have an odor, which is great. This is the first time in 13 years that I have not had zits. I do occasionally get one on my chin or upper lip, but I have not had one anywhere else since I started this and all my little bumps are gone. It is still shocking to wash my face and feel that the skin is smooth under the soap. I find myself wanting to recommend this to strangers that I see with acne because everyone should know about this. I have gotten compliments on my skin and my sisters have asked me what I have been doing to my face to make it so clear. I feel kind of dumb for not trying this before; I just thought if you've tried one bp product you've tried them all, but this really is different. I don't know if it's the formulation or the amount used that works and I don't care. All I know is that I will be using this product for a long time. Have you tried using Neutrogena On-The-Spot? Come on. This stuff is pretty much perfect. Use it twice a day as part of the regimen and you're good to go.

I have been struggling with cystic acne for years - I always seemed to get 1-2 really bad (scarring) pimples a month and ever since I started a 2x face washing regimen and use acne.org benzoyl Peroxide I am sure I will never have another scarring pimple in my lifetime. I only wish I could have found this stuff sooner. I have 3 scars that are probably permanent - unless acne.org comes up with some crazy cool solution for that too. I LOVE ACNE.ORG's Benzoyl Peroxide Gel!!! Highly recommend!

I used this several years ago when my acne first got really bad (in my early 20's). It really cleared up my skin and I honestly don't know why I stopped (maybe because I ran out and my hormones and stress evened out for a while). Now I'm in my mid-twenties and my breakouts started getting really bad after I started a very important medication a few months ago. Since I didn't want to stop the medication, I turned to acne.org again and am confident I will have clear skin again, with a little work and patience!

hey, i used this for a month and my face did not get used to it... it was constantly irritated and when i would scratch my face that part of my face would swell and get red... idk if that means im allergic but i know that this was too harsh for me and i had to discontinue using it. it did get rid of pimples though

I have been using the daniel kern regimen for about a month now and after a month i have seen a lot of results. My skin is clear with the occasional pimple and my skin tone is down. Even though this is all true the more and more i use the regimen my skin begins to get dryer and dryer in places where my skin has never been dry. Its beginning to seem that im aging more everyday. Now after doing research, i realize that this treatment is only a preventative and once one were to stop using it many zits would arise. Im only nineteen and Im already seeing some of the terrible effects of BP. Im going to begin to try and wean myself off of it. For some advice of users of the treatment i would HIGHLY recommend jojoba oil use in between wash and treatment. But don't stay on BP for a very long time, its not a cure. I think worlds of this treatment due to its power and results. All of the products are great and work as they advertise. But I cant continue to use it. Now my regimen will be to wash and mosturize with jojoba... and the only use the regimen at night. I plan on switching to desert essense face wash as soon as i am done weaning myself off of this treatment. Thank you dan for being sincere and trying to help people. I can only say that for me, I cannot continue to use this BP. The moisturizer is unbelieveble(may continue to use)

A story: I tried Proactiv a few years ago and developed a nasty, blistery, red rash all over my face. I assumed this was from the benzoyl peroxide, so have been leary of it ever since. But I was so impressed with the resources and research behind acne.org AND their mission (to help, not simply peddle product!) that I felt confident enough to give it a shot. Even if I had an allergic reaction, I could still use the cleanser and moisturizer and provide support to what I see as a positive organization. I'm on the second day of the regimen and two zits have already vanished (!) and several dark spots just flaked right off. My normal skin has not flaked at all. It is obviously the formulation of the Proactiv products, not the BP itself, that was causing the bad reaction. The acne.org products have some of the shortest ingredient lists I've ever seen and feel great on my skin. I am extremely impressed. Bottom line: I would pay twice as much for the same amount of product.
