Pros:

-Not Drying
-Gel Form
-Cheap
-Dries clear and doesn't run

I love Dan's regimen. I've been on it for about two years and to this date it is still the only thing that has effectively helped me in controlling my acne. I started using things like the Neutorgena 2.5% thinking that all facial products are created equal, and when I finally caved and bought Dan's product I could see a definite improvement almost right away. There is no comparison, this is the best and most effective BP on the market. I understand what it's like to be weary after being lured in by every product under the sun, but for a few dollars this product truly worth a try. I love how this gel melts onto your skin and dries clear, so you can wear tons of it when you go out without anybody having to know. And if you're a girl, like me, you can most certainly wear it under makeup. The main thing to pay attention to is to ALWAYS LISTEN TO DAN. He knows his regimen the best. I notice that when I start running out of product, and in consequence start using less of it, my acne starts to come back with a vengeance and is harder to control. Quantity is certainly quality when it comes to this product. The product is fabulous but I do advise those with cystic acne to perhaps use some kind of oral treatment only for a little while to calm them down so that the BP can take full effect. I had a lot of cystic acne and while I still get one or two (especially around that time of the month) this product works very well to control almost all my acne. Last but not least I would like to clear all rumors and nasty bits about Dan being a scammer and a liar. If Dan is scamming all of Acne.org in order to make money than he is doing a HORRIBLE job and should take some cues from ProActiv and SkinID because this stuff truly works wonders. Thank you Dan!

Pros:

Clears up acne better than anything I have ever used
Goes on easily and absorbs well

Cons:

Can leave face red/tan, especially if you use a lot
seems to cause more hyper-pigmentation for me

This cleared up my acne very well, but leaves my face tan/red if I use a lot.

Pros:

-Controls acne breakouts
-Helps reduce/control oily skin
-Consistency is weird, but in a good way
-Love the chemical smell, not to strong

-I have to mention the Acne.org customer service~Top-notch

Cons:

-Ordering it offline
-New batch of BP made my face sensitive and brakout in a rash, however my skin became accustomed to it after a week.

I've been using Dan's BP gel since it first came out. I have been an acne sufferer since I was 11 (i'm 22 now). I have incredibly oily skin, sweat a lot on my face and had "pizza face" acne. I stumbled upon Acne.org a long time ago and followed Dan's Regimen (using other gentle, for-sensitive skin products) and my acne cleared up immensely. And the forums on this site, opened me up to some very interesting information and stories from other acne sufferers. I had no idea that acne was a huge problem in most people's lives, so it was nice to know i wasn't alone. It wasn't until i ordered my first BP gel off acne.org, that my acne cleared up almost clearly. I have to stress the importance of being gentle with your skin...Wash gently, apply BP gently and moisturize adequately and GENTLY. I have been an avid "picker" for 8+ years and it has been tough to keep my hands off my face. Also, i noticed a difference between my recent BP purchase from the last one. The consistency has changed, and it was much harsher on my skin then the last batches. My skin turned beat red, slightly burned and was incredibly itchy. However I stuck with it, applying the product for an hour each day then washing it off, and i'm in my 4th week (on the new BP) and i can leave the BP on for 12 hours with no problem. This may just be an individual problem that affects me. But I've been using Dan's BP for almost 3 years, and this was the first time it's ever happened. I absolutely love the BP products (including the AHA+) and recommend it to anyone.

Pros:

It works
Odorless
Low % of BP

Cons:

Slightly drying
BP can be aging to the skin

This is the only thing that works for my mild acne. I generally use it once or twice a day depending on the condition of my skin. I wish I could find something more natural to keep my acne under control, but I keep coming back to this.

Pros:

worked right away. Easy to apply. Fragrance free.

Cons:

skin irritated initially, but got used to it after a week.

My face is fine, rarely get pimples. But my back would get a lot. I searched all over the web for a solution to this. After different product combination, i came down to using neutregena body was, Dan's BP and AHA cream. And honestly, the results could not have been better. Its been two weeks, and not a single pimple has formed on my back. The AHA cream seems to be speeding up the healing of the marks from acne (not scarring, i dont get those kind of pimples). I figure at this rate, within a few more months my back will look great. I hope this product never discontinues, it has given me a reason to go the beach this summer without my shirt.

Pros:

-so far no redness or flaking
-no allergic reactions!!!
-positive results in two days
-absorbs well
-no artificial smells or colors
-the price is more than right

Cons:

-not a huge fan of the slightly "gritty" texture, but this is so minor, it is hardly worth mentioning. it completely absorbs into my skin within 15 minutes.
-got a little on my lower neck and broke out in a couple hives. so I'll just keep it off my neck!

A story: I tried Proactiv a few years ago and developed a nasty, blistery, red rash all over my face. I assumed this was from the benzoyl peroxide, so have been leary of it ever since. But I was so impressed with the resources and research behind acne.org AND their mission (to help, not simply peddle product!) that I felt confident enough to give it a shot. Even if I had an allergic reaction, I could still use the cleanser and moisturizer and provide support to what I see as a positive organization. I'm on the second day of the regimen and two zits have already vanished (!) and several dark spots just flaked right off. My normal skin has not flaked at all. It is obviously the formulation of the Proactiv products, not the BP itself, that was causing the bad reaction. The acne.org products have some of the shortest ingredient lists I've ever seen and feel great on my skin. I am extremely impressed. Bottom line: I would pay twice as much for the same amount of product.

Pros:

Goes on smooth, absorbs well, doesn't sting, works, is light unlike some other products

Cons:

Bleaches fabric, stings my eyes a little from the smell,

I think that this treatment works really well. It's the best treatment I've found. I use the regimen cleanser, treatment, moisturizer, and AHA. At first a lot of my blackheads weren't clearing up so I tried a gentle toner without alcohol in it and that did the trick. My face is clearer than it ever had been. My acne was so bad as a teenager that I have so many scars it looks like my face is broken out when it's not. I was on accutane and that made my face a lot better but I was still always broke out a little all the time. I tried proactive when it first came out and it peeled my skin, then I tried it again at 23 and it worked fairly well. Then I wanted something that I didn't have to pay a lot for so I tried this and I love it. I only use it at night and my face stays clear and if I get a pimple it clears up in about a day. I recommend if the regimen isn't working at first try a gentle toner. Boots brand at target has some really good ones and they aren't too expensive. It made all the difference for me!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

cleared acne rapidly and kept it at bay (for a few yrs)

Cons:

premature ageing and wrinkles; harsh on your skin; stops working after awhile

i had severe acne for years and started dan's regime with panoxyl. the first week was the worst - my skin became really red and inflamed and the worst thing was i had to go out like this in public. i was also flaking like crazy. also i started to get really bad wrinkles under my eyes and around my mouth - even after slathering my face with jojoba oil morning and night. these wrinkles are permanent and i have huge ones under my eyes to this day (and it's been about 3 yrs since i stopped using bp). if ur wondering i'm in my mid-20s so it's nothing to do with natural ageing! bp made my skin really itchy and gave me hyperpigmentation - which took years to get rid of.. don't get me wrong, bp does help with acne but does so in a really aggressive way, which cannot be good for ur skin in the longterm... it also stopped working for me after a few years and i got the worst breakout in my life.

Pros:

Great for slight bacne
16 oz lasts for months

Cons:

I felt it was too oily. Too much emphasis was put on the whole moisturizing aspect of it.

I used this on my face and back. I applied it for about a good 3 months on my face, but I still continue to use it on my back . I felt it wasn't exceptionally great on my face. It was OK. I felt it had a really greasy texture and my chin was still having bad breakouts. I know products take time, but this wasn't FOR MY FACE. I was using a lot of this product on my face, not some "pea sized amount" Dan warns against. While I tried this on my face, I was also using it on my back. I get slight acne at the back of my neck and the top of my back, and I apply it once a day after I shower and let it dry completely. I still get the occasional back zit, but it's now 1 or 2 compared to 10-15. Bottom line: great for backs, bad for OILY FACES. If you have dry skin on your face, it might work for you. If you have oliy skin on your face, it could possibly break you out instead of preventing acne. Note: My rating is strongly based on the results I saw on my back. I would recommend it for acne on the back, not so much on the face IF you have oily skin.

Pros:

Gets rid of spots quickly
Easy to apply
Sinks in well and doesn't leave a sticky or visible residue
Affordable
Consistency is thin enough to use under makeup

Cons:

Mild dryness
Some redness
Treatment has to be used continuously in order to keep skin clear (though this is true of all BP products)

Why didn't I get this sooner?! I've been trying Dan's regimen on and off for the past few years to varying degrees of success, but was put off buying his products due to shipping costs. However, after seeing all of the good reviews scattered across the internet I thought I'd finally give it a go, and I'm so glad I did. My skin has already adjusted to benzoyl peroxide after trying a few treatments (Oxy On the Spot: cleared up smaller spots, but also created deep, painful cystic acne; Panoxyl Aquagel 2.5%: caused extremely dry skin, a horrible burning sensation and severe redness), so the initial negative side effects have been minimal. This is by far the best BP product I've used. The only downsides I can think of are that I have to get it sent from the US - thus it can take a while to get here - and that I purchased the smallest size bottle which ran out very quickly! I urge everyone to try it if they haven't already. What have you got to lose?
