Pros:

Works great - no more breakouts

Cons:

Skin will be excessively dry for the first few weeks, even if you ease into regimen. Occasional dry spells afterwards if you are not careful with lotion.

This is the best acne treatment. My light to moderate acne has been completely clear since I began the program with no end in sight and very limited skin irritation. Accutane worked wonders for me, but my acne would inevitably return 12 to 18 months later. Side effects for me were minimal. The prescription lotions did not keep me clear (differin) and left my skin red and irritated. Thank you Dan Kern.

Pros:

Extremely affordable, clear gel doesn't flake as much, and is pretty much invisible, even on my dark skin.

Cons:

It's not sold in stores, so you have to pay for shipping. I have combination skin, so I have some dryness around my mouth, but nowhere else. However, that's expected for Benzoyl Peroxide

Great value for 2% Benzoyl Peroxide; the only other brand I've seen is Neutrogena's 0.75 oz tube for over $7.00. Dan charges $8.50 (plus shipping) for almost FIVE times the amount. It's also a lot gentler than 5% or 10% solutions, and the only 2% solution that I've seen in a clear gel.

Pros:

Big Tube, Consistent in keeping my moderate acne away

Cons:

Not available in stores

I've suffered with moderate acne since I was 13 (19 now). While not as long as some people, any teenager with acne knows the pain it can cause. I've tried my share of prescriptions-BenzaClin, Doxycycline, Clindamycin, Cefadroxil, Tretinoin and finally Accutane. I was only able to take Accutane for a week but it cleared up the acne on my back and shoulders. When it started coming back, with nothing left to turn to, I decided to try Dan's gel. It was the best decision I've ever made. It is more effective than any prescription I've tried and equally as effective as accutane-without the nasty side effects. Do yourself a favor, try it, and give it time to work. While I have intermittent break outs my skin has never looked better. My back and shoulders are acne free and my face is 90% better than what it used to be, and that is only after a couple months of use. And at 40 bucks a month (4 tubes + shipping) its affordable. Bottom Line-there is nothing more effective than BP. Try Dan's Gel!

Pros:

Gel is easily applied. The cost for the quantity cannot be beat. And it works!

Cons:

That you can't go and buy it in the stores.

I have mild-to-moderate acne was using proactive for about 3 years. I am not on the regimen. I just wash my face with Cetaphil and then use Dan Kerns BP all over my face avoiding the eye, mouth and neck area. In the morning I wash it off with Cetaphil and moisturizer for the face with Neutrogena SPF 15. When I first started using it, I noticed my skin became really dry for about a week but it's gotten back to normal now. I also make sure to exfoliate once a week with St. Ives apricot exfoliator for sensitive skin. I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone, especially for proactiv users whose skin is used to the 2.5% BP formula.

Pros:

Works way beyond any acne medication hands down! That comes from someone who has used Retin-A and Accutane.

Cons:

Dries your skin a bit...but it is to be expected like all acne meds.

I went through my teenage years and early to mid 20's dealing with cystic acne and constant breakouts. Once I found the Regimen cream online I took the risk of ordering and trying it out. It was the best decision I could have made. After using it for 4 YEARS now, I can say with great comfort that it is the best product there is for acne. My breakouts are non-existent, every once in a while I will have one or two small ones...but I assure you nothing compared to what I use to go through. My regimen is very basic, I put a thin film on every time I get out of the shower 2x a day. If my skin starts getting dry I use it only once a day. I purchase 5 tubes at a time and it last me 6-7 months. Don't hesitate to try this product out.

Pros:

Easy to use. No residue.

Cons:

Takes some patience to apply.

Much better than anything else on the market. Does take some time to apply, but having used Dan's regimen for 5 years, and now his BP gel for over a year, I'm very satisfied.

Pros:

Works well, no white residue, goes on smooth, hardly drying at all, dirt cheap for xsuch a large size

Cons:

almost none, except that it takes a little long to absorb and smells kinda funny

Great product, well worth the very cheap price. I heard some say that they broke out or had a reaction to it, but that didn't happen with me. Just clearer skin within days. I highly recommend this over any other BP, and I've used most of them.

Pros:

Excellent staying power, nice consistency, keeps face clear

I love it. I can wear it so thick at night and it dries to make my face feel nice and like it's working hard on the zits. I tried BP for awhile and cleared up but then it stopped working because I didn't use enought. I thought I could go all natural but that was a disaster, and I broke out SO bad. i think you need to use some harsher methods to get clear skin, sorry. Natural products slowly made my face go from bad to WORSE. They tout that going natural will clear your face up, but I think you really need something to kill the bacteria. My face is clear and I feel so much better about myself. i will continue to use this until there is a cure. Having acne is something that someone who has never experienced it will never know what it feels like to feel ugly every time you glance in a mirror (glance because yeah I would never look full on into a MIRROR before!) now I feel fine about that. Get this if you want a clear face, I really think it will work. I have tried everything else.

Pros:

This is the thing for me! I have suffered with acne for about 6 yrs now and it feels great to be working with something that actually works! It also feels good on my skin.

Cons:

Although it works great, don't expect perfect skin. For me it controls my acne, it didn't completely banish it. It also takes a while to apply.

I went to tons of dermatologists and went on everything under the sun. My last choice was Accutane but I tried this instead. All those terrible red marks on my face have faded. Acne doesn't control my life anymore. Yes, I get a few spots every once in a while and don't have perfect skin, but I have normal skin. And that's good enough for me. Give it a try and be patient! Thanks Dan!!!!

Pros:

Clears up zits and doesn't dry out skin.
No fragrance

Cons:

Took about three full months of using the gel consistently to start to see results, but six months later, my skin looks great!
Doesn't stain clothes as badly as most BP creams.

Be patient, it works! Make sure you use it EVERYDAY though. I use it after washing with Clean and Clear Continuous Control Cleanser with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. This made a big difference for me...really cleared up my skin. I then moisturize at night with Neutrogena Healthy Skin lotion, which really helped to even out skin tone and get rid of scars/spots.
