Pros:

Spreads very well compared to Acne On the Spot which makes it very difficult to be super gentle.

Doesn't leave my skin white afterwards like On the Spot did either. Most importantly, it helped clear up a VERY severe, debilitating breakout I ha

Cons:

None.

This is the cornerstone of the regimen. To get clear you will need a lot of benzoyl peroxide and Dan has been kind enough to provide it in generous 8 and 16 oz bottles. Great product! Use this product and you will get the results you want!

Pros:

Does what benzoyl peroxide is supposed to do, easily applied (although, with the regimen amount, it does take some time), cheap and packed in large quantity.

Cons:

The pump packaging of the 16 oz version is very annoying when the product starts to run low and air enters the pump.

Bleaching. This is a major flaw with benzoyl peroxide in general, but something that can be minimized with caution.

This is definitely the best benzoyl peroxide product I've tried. It's important that you stick to it and strictly follow the (somewhat slow) accustoming process by starting with a small amount once a day and then upping to full amount followed by full amount twice a day. Also, it's very important with a good, rich moisturiser - especially if you have dry skin tendencies. Finally, be very careful with clothing since benzoyl peroxide will bleach. Specifically endangered are shirt collars and other clothing that sits tight around your neck.

Pros:

It works! And quickly. Skin looks great! And its cheap and easy to do, and gets kind of addictive once you see the great results!

Cons:

If you put too much benzoyl peroxide on it burns quite badly. I would warn particularly about your neckline if you have sensitive skin like me! But just go overboard on the moisturiser and it stops pretty quickly. It just feels like sunburn.

I haven't used the actual products, but have used similar versions. So over here we have a product called Panoxyl which is basically a cream based benzoyl Peroxide. I have been combining this with simple face washes and nivea moisturiser. Just stuff I have in the cupboard basically. I have had acne for about 15 years now (considering I am only 23 this is pretty bad right!). It has never got worse than moderate, and is mild at worse right now, but its always been very persistantand I've never got rid of it. In the last 6 years or so I have had pretty bad acne on my neck chest and back, and have mainly tried pills to get rid of these, to no avail. A month back I just got sick of the constant having to try to cover it up and I kind of want to have nice shoulders and back that I can show off! So I thought sod it, what can i lose from following this regime and seeing if the benzoyl works bearing in mind I've used it before unsuccessfully). I have been astounded and delighted :)

Pros:

-Affordable (esp for Americans sans coverage)
-Good consistency
-is great for small little pimples. Seems to work for many of you, too!

Cons:

Doesn't really work on me.
Application process is super tedious
irritates my skin

If this doesn't work, I think it is an indication that you need to treat from the inside out. I decided, after trying this, antibiotics, salicylic (which works better for me btw), benzaclin, and others to try oral contraceptives and spironolactone orally and retin-a topically. After 2.5 years I think I am making a lot of progress.

Pros:

- cleared up most of my acne within the first few weeks of use
- doesn't have a bad smell

Cons:

- it's pretty drying, even with the moisturizer

About a year ago I started using a prescription b.p. (5%), but this one is less expensive and works better for me. I think it's definitely worth any dryness I experience.

Pros:

Works and doesn't irritate skin. has a nice glide texture and allows you to properly spread it everywhere without it drying too quickly.

Cons:

If it doesn't totally try then the products you put over it might ball up a bit. Also it takes some time to work it in and I'm only using one pump. I'm almost scared to use two pumps.

I love this product. The only major con is that it does have a nice glide, but it almost doesn't want to absorb too readily into your skin so you need to spend some time working it in and then waighing for it to dry. Aside from that it is a wonderful product and I highly recommend it. It has cleared up my face and now everyone is telling me how great my skin looks and that feeling is wonderful. I'm so happy I found this product. Thank you Dan!

Pros:

cleared up my skin 90% in 4 days. it is INCREDIBLE. worth every penny plus more.

Cons:

i wish i would had found this sooner. it dries up your face and neck like crazy, however, when you have clear skin WHO CARES?! just moisturize like crazy. love love love you dan.

I was so skeptical at this point in my life, I have exhausted every single product on the market along with prescription (except accutane which is next on the list), and I am honestly in AWE about this product, this regime... Dan, you saved me, and gave me my confidence back THIS REGIME IS THE BEST.

Pros:

THEE BEST Benzoyl Peroxide treatment (lotion) out there. Tops. Trust me. Leaves skin soft - and does NOT dry your skin out.

Cons:

May itch just a bit when it tries on your skin - but it's because of the gel-consistancy. Once skin completely dries (and let it do it on it's own) skin is completely soft.

Here I am again :) Okay - if you are hesitating at all with the Daniel Kern products - buy this. If you are even on a DIFFERENT acne treatment (like Clean and Clear) please - USE THIS as your Benzoyl Peroxide lotion. Benzoyl peroxide is the only thing that has worked for me to clear acne. Salicylic acid does not work for me - it makes me break out horribly. Almost the complete opposite of Benzoyl. If you ever go shopping for an acne treatment lotion - you'll see that Benzoyl Peroxide is VERY hard to find in large quantities. This product is GREAT and a RARE find for the price. I was on Proactive for 5 years - and their lotion has the same Benzoyl but for WAY more expensive - and you get 4 times LESS. Please - save your money!! It even works BETTER. This Benzoyl does NOT dry your skin out - the gel formula in this product works differently than Proactiv - I am completely amazed. Please try this - you will save a TON of money - just try it!
