Help with using BP
I've been using this regimen for 3 weeks now. The BP really helped with my oily t-zone; but it really broke me out in my chin area. I get cystic acne pimples and I have 8 on my chin. I'm so disappointed and upset. I'm not sure if I should continue with this regimen. I have not added in the AHA yet I'm kinda scared. Not sure what to do. I've never had this much breakout at one time before. I have a wedding to attend in a couple of weeks and I'm really upset and nervous about my face. Please help?????

Hey! This is normal, your skin is just going through the normal purging stage. All the trapped acne is coming to its surface. Continue using the regimen, it will all clear up within the next few weeks. The key is to stick with it no matter what. The same thing happened to me, it is discouraging at first but I promise this regimen is amazing with consistency! hope this helped

Could anyone help?
I have just recently started using this product. I heard many great things so I decided to give it a go. I have been using the regimen for about a little over a week now, and I have started to acquire a lot of dry skin. It has gotten to the point where it is all over my face and looks crusty and awful. I read some reviews on the treatment and realized some others have been experiencing this also. Does anyone know how long the dry skin on my face will last? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have only been on it for just less than a week but am also experiencing crazy dry skin. I think im going to try just the cleanser and moisturiser in the morning and include the BP in the routine in the evening. Good luck! x

Are you following the whole acne.org regimen? Even though my skin is extremely oily, I always follow up bp with moisturizer: in the morning I use Cerave pm facial moisturizer mixed with a drop or 2 of jojoba oil. In the evening I follow up the bp with the Cerave mixed with acne.org's AHA lotion (following their instructions for adding it GRADUALLY or it will sting like the dickens! Following all acne.org's instructions worked great for me!

Only BP
Do some of you JUST use the BP? I've only been using the BP (with CeraVe facewash) and I've gotten mixed results. Just wondering if anyone had success without doing the entire regimen.

Yes! I just use the BP and substitute the face wash for cetaphil and the lotion from neutrogena. Same results and much cheaper!

Yes - I've used BP in conjunction with Simple Moisturising face wash (nice clean feel, good foaming action and few ingredients) and Simple Light Moisturiser + jojoba oil drops mixed in (nice light feel but moisturises enough to aid the dryness of BP). I had awful acne (verging on cystic open wounds) and I got completely clear! Follow the regimen to the letter with these products and you'll see good results :)

Do we need to use toner? Anyone can suggest the best brand? Thanks

Good product but a pain to deal with the site.
I have been using this for a few years now and it definitely works if used correctly and especially well if you stick to it consistently. It does tend to dry you out but you will most likely get used to it pretty quickly. Do try and get your proportions down because over applying will most likely slow the process down. My only complaints would be that the shipping from this site is extremely slow and that they have poor customer service and communications skills. My orders normally take a week or more to arrive which is pretty damn slow for shipping in 2016, regardless of that start and stop point. I haven't dealt with their customer service too many times but I do remember that they usually don't answer me at all or take days longer than I would have expected and the question becomes irrelevant.

Happened to anyone before?
I've been using the BP for 9 weeks. From the first 4 weeks I saw result that it stopped my breakout but after that it came back. My breakout now focus on one area, indeed it heal fast but after that area cleared, another breakout start on another part of my face. My question is what happen and what is going on? Anyone experienced this before?

I had something similar to you. After about 2 weeks, I cleared (kinda) and I thought it was working, then I broke out bad. I could even feel the pimple coming out. It was awful. I was so sad, but it cleared slowly. It took more than 3 months for me to finally start seeing results. Stick to it, follow the instructions exactly. It is worth it!

I deal with the same thing. My breakout on the left side of my face would clear up and then right side would break out and then IT would clear up. Then left would break out etc. Just stick with it. I've been using it for the past 5-6 months and it's life changing once you see the results. Im not completely clear on the left side of my face but the AHA is doing its work to blear up that hyperpigmentation. Also DO NOT touch your face at any time during the day. Do not lean on it or even rub. If it itches, deal with it but do not touch it. It is so critical and once you stop that you will see a dramatic change in your acne. I can't stress enough how important it is not to touch you face at all. Also don't rub your face with a hoodie or anything like that during the day. If you do all that and really follow the regimen it works! Don't give up!

NO DRYNESS
I've been using BP for a couple if days now, it's early to tell if I'm getting results even though I think I am, but I'm not experiencing any type of dryness, irritation, flakiness.. at the point that it feels useless to apply moisturizer. Guess I'm lucky!

Always add a moisturizer, your skin may begin to dry out over time

In progress
So I started the 3 part regimen a month ago and after 2 weeks my small comedomal acne on my forehead almost completely cleared up. However my comedomal acne around my mouth got really inflamed and irritated and I had horrible break outs for 2-3 weeks. I knew it was working and i hoped it was just the initial breakout phase to get used to the product. Now at the end of the first month my forehead is completely clear and around my mouth are a lot smaller and less bumpy BUT the area around my mouth is VERY red and looks scarred (I think from the initial breakout phase) and it is really dry and flakey and its taking a lot longer to clear than my forehead which is upsetting. Some times I take a day break from it when it's unbearably flaky. I took a break and then I took some last night and I woke up to itchy inflamed pink skin (a sensitive reaction) so I'm worried that I'm becoming sensitive to it. So should I continue through the flaky and itchy skin or should I take a week break from it and start again?

Hmm...it sounds like your forehead is more oily than your mouth area. This is super common. Different products can be used on different parts of your face. Overmedicating your mouth area will only make your skin worse and could cause oil to overproduce and worsen your acne. Have you tried a hypersensitive non-medicated wash around your mouth?

How long to keep the BP on my face????
This is my second week in the regime. I am breaking out a bit .I have very very extremely oily skin. I was wondering how long I have to keep the bp on my face before I could wash all of this oil out. I try not to wash my face too much but twice at day doesn't work for me, I have to do at least 3 times with paper blotting in between washes. I know I am not suppose to reapply the second doze before 9 to 10 hours aparts. But I feel that my oily skin is makin me break out more. How many hours I have to keep the bp on my face for it to work???
September 10, 2016
The BP doesn't suppose to make u oily! Did u apply it all over your face and with two pumps??
September 16, 2016
Yes i am following exactly the instructions. Is that I have naturally extremely oily face and not washing my face at least 3 times a day is almos impossible ... I am using the blotting sheets but still I think that the oil in my face is making me brake out
September 17, 2016
:(((( that's crazy!! My face used to be super oily too but when I first started using the BP it's started to dry out and my skin doesn't provide any oil anymore. I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe it's the regimen that's working? Bc it did say that you will break out later on!

regimen on for a week
I've been using this treatment for a week now. And my face is peeling a little only at the chin and my left cheek. On my left cheek, after the skin peeled, i had 3 breakouts that have whitehead,is this part of the process? I also noticed that other areas(forehead, right cheek and temple) are still dark and showed no signs of peeling,is this normal? Will they peel soon? Im afraid that they will stay dark. Please help.
September 1, 2016
It takes quite a while for any regimen to show actual results, assessing after a week really only makes people crazy. Peeling is normal and should reduce once your skin gets used to the treatment. If not, increasing moisturizer or use of jojoba oil helps. Or reduce application of the benzoyl to once per day. As for the whiteheads, those are typical at the beginning of most regimens and is typically referred to as purging. It tends to clear quickly.

Commitment
So I tried the acne.org treatment for 10 weeks with my moderate acne. I'd only used over the counter products before this regiment so I was hoping for good result and a step up from my regular regiment. At first it went well, I spend time every evening and every morning applying the treatment and following the instructions precisely but I soon noticed the skin on my face turning a slightly different colour to the rest of my body and my skin became quite dry too. From around week 4 I noticed a significant improvement as I was getting much fewer breakouts than usual and some areas of my face even cleared up completely. Unfortunately, this is as good as it got and I never actually had completely clear skin. The largest downsides to me are that it takes at least 20 minutes every morning and evening to properly apply the treatment; my skin was showing signs of dryness and flakiness (even after 2 pumps of moisturiser!); and it also prohibited me from doing certain activities like swimming or working out. This is because after swimming the moisturiser gets washed off and your skin looks and becomes extremely dry so you would have to re-apply the moisturiser. And the problem with working out is that unless you don't shower after working out or only workout just before your morning or evening shower, then you would have to re-apply the regiment or moisturiser again. I would only recommend this if you're ready and prepared to make sacrifices for your acne and battle other challenges like dry skin as well as acne. You also need to be extremely committed as only 1 missed morning resulted in a breakout for me. I've been off the regiment for about 4 days now and I've had quite a few breakouts, but at least my skin feels normal again.
