Acne.org : Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.5%)

I've been persrcibed BP for a few years now, and it has worked well on me. Of course, you have to use other products such as cleansers or whatever your dermatologist recommends. Since I live in a climate where seasons change and are signigicantly different (harsh winters, hot and humid summers) I have to switch up the dosages. (winter I use BP 2.5%, summers I use 10%) So basically....this product works well when used properly.

It really works. The mild discomfort is worth it, and if you use the moisturizer properly the drying is far less severe.

I am really happy with the effectiveness of this product. I was using doxycycline hyclate and differin together for about a year, but I hated always being sunburnt and having a red face so I decided to change my routine. I chose to buy this product because of the good reviews and the amount you get. I slowly reduced my dosage of doxycycline hyclate and differin. Now i'm completely off of that stuff and i'm taking this product along with 100mg of zinc. My redness and sunburn has gone away and now I can spend more time in the sun. :) get it!

I've been using this regimen for almost a week now & it's working fairly well. My acne has been looking a bit better. The BP dries out the skin a bit.. around my mouth but I use the AHA as a moisturizer so it never stays so dry. I think people with moderate acne should try this, you'll definitely see improvements like I have ( though sometimes it mostly depends on your skin )

Having used various other forms of BP, I can say with confidence that this stuff blows every other BP product I've tried out of the water. I absolutely love the fact that it goes on clear and stays that way, other BP creams and gels I've tried have taken excessive amounts of time to rub in and then burned only to show up as white streaks later on. So before I got a hold of this, I could only use BP at night or when I wouldn't have to go out in public. While it does have your basic BP side effects, namely that it causes a little redness and drying, in comparison to other products it isn't bad at all. It didn't completely clear my acne though, even after being on it for 2 months, but it does help considerably and now that I've swapped my cleanser with a Sal Acid wash and my moisturizer with Aloe Gel the results are improving.

I began using this product as Dan recommended, slowly wk 1) 1/2 a pump only at night, wk2) 1 pump only at night then wk 3) I tried using it in the morning as well and my skin became so dry it was pretty much unbearable though it was much clearer... so I settled for only using this at night. Not to mention, you're not supposed to get this in your eye area and that's pretty much impossible if you wear make up. I still get pimples but they're fewer and far between and it works better than pretty much anything I've tried, well at least with the least amount of side effects.

It works and it's vegan! First thing I've found that really works for me and I've been trying different products for YEARS (Since I was 15. I am 23.) I can deal with the bleached pillowcases for that!

I am the biggest skeptic of them all. Pumping benzoyl peroxide on your face twice a day for acne ... yeah right. Actually, it works. My face looks incredible. I tweaked the regimen a bit though. I only apply the benzoyl peroxide at night and I use Dan's AHA+ moisturizer along with an SPF during the day. I've been using Differin for the past three years with good, but not great results. A few months ago it stopped working entirely. I stumbled across this website, found the regimen and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. If my skin looks this good after just a week of use, I can't wait to see my skin after a month.
