Acne.org : Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.5%)

It works and it's vegan! First thing I've found that really works for me and I've been trying different products for YEARS (Since I was 15. I am 23.) I can deal with the bleached pillowcases for that!

My acne wasn't that bad, but in my early 20s I thought that my problem skin should have slowed down by now, if not ceased completely. The logic behind the benzoyl peroxide seemed well based so I decided to give it a try. It made my skin extremely dry and irritated for the first week and lengthened my morning and nighttime skin-care regimen by a large amount, but I stuck with it and after 1 week my skin acclimated to the product and wasn't dry, after just 1 month of consistent use my skin was completely clear, and 4 months later I have not had one pimple. I wish that I had discovered this years ago. I don't even worry anymore about getting a pimple as long as I'm consistently using this regimen.

I am 34 and have suffered with severe cystic acne on my chin and jaw line since I was 16. I (like everyone else) have tried every "miracle" product and prescription treatment available and NOTHING WORKED! I saw Dans Regimin product and thought "what the hell, I have nothing to lose". I didn't actually think it would work!!!! After a few weeks I noticed that the cysts I had were going down and my boyfriend noticed that new ones weren't appearing as often as they usually did. I have been using Dans products for just under a year now. I am now totally acne free for the first time in my adult life. It's absolutely wonderful. I recommend it to everyone that will listen. When I first saw this product online I thought it was kind of a joke and was extremely skeptical of it. "What's so special about yet another BP product?" I thought, after all I had tried them all. But when used with Dan's regimen it will totally clear your skin! I had mild to moderate acne for 10 years that was extremely persistant. My skin cleared gradually over 3 months on the regimen and by the end of the 3rd month I was totally clear and haven't had a single pimple in months. Dan's products are the best, and this BP is his "workhorse" as he puts it. I had used countless treatments, including many BP treatments before trying the regimen. I strongly urge you give Dan's regimen a shot and see if it works for you. You don't have to use Dan's products for the regimen to work, but I recommend that you do. These are the best products I've ever tried, especially the BP. Just awesome.

About a year ago I started using a prescription b.p. (5%), but this one is less expensive and works better for me. I think it's definitely worth any dryness I experience.

Best BP product I've found yet. It is light and non-greasy and most importantly, it is a gel so it's very easily absorbed into the skin with no white marks after application. Like all BP, it causes flakiness and dryness but that can be mitigated with moisturizer.

I highly recommend this. It is not too weak and not too strong, so you can use it consistently. My friends keep saying how great my skin looks now. Get it and use it everyday.

I order all 3 items from Dan's regimen and bottom line is, it works. However if you are suffering from mild to moderate adult acne like me and also want to avoid skin aging at the same time, this is not the solution. If I had discovered this in my teens, it would have bee a revolution and I'm sure my more resilient young skin would have coped better with the drying effects, However despite giving this a good go (4 weeks), my skin was unbearably sore and dry. Having done further research due to my skin just not acclimatising to the bp, there is also some risk of aging and being in my 30's it's a risk I didn't want to take! So overall, younger skin, give this a go, there is no doubt it is highly effective. Older skin, I would not recommend this at all, however do not despair, I also ordered the 10% aha and that has been fanastic!

This product started working to clear up my skin immediately when I started using it. I saw results in days. The only downside was that my skin got very dry as I moved up to the two full pumps twice a day that the regimen suggests. I started using the AHA+ from this site nightly and I reduced the amount of this product to one pump twice a day, and it got rid of the dryness. This product and the AHA+ pretty much saved my face.
