Pros:

Light, spreads easily, not super drying, actually works against my horribly picky acne :)

Cons:

None, in terms of effects. Some may find its medication scent a little uncomfortable, but it's really nothing!

It works. That summarizes how great this product is :) I've had irregular acne for 9 years now and I've tried everything - from cheap to expensive, chemical to organic! Nothing works like this. Follow the regimen. SERIOUSLY

Pros:

It works! And quickly. Skin looks great! And its cheap and easy to do, and gets kind of addictive once you see the great results!

Cons:

If you put too much benzoyl peroxide on it burns quite badly. I would warn particularly about your neckline if you have sensitive skin like me! But just go overboard on the moisturiser and it stops pretty quickly. It just feels like sunburn.

I haven't used the actual products, but have used similar versions. So over here we have a product called Panoxyl which is basically a cream based benzoyl Peroxide. I have been combining this with simple face washes and nivea moisturiser. Just stuff I have in the cupboard basically. I have had acne for about 15 years now (considering I am only 23 this is pretty bad right!). It has never got worse than moderate, and is mild at worse right now, but its always been very persistantand I've never got rid of it. In the last 6 years or so I have had pretty bad acne on my neck chest and back, and have mainly tried pills to get rid of these, to no avail. A month back I just got sick of the constant having to try to cover it up and I kind of want to have nice shoulders and back that I can show off! So I thought sod it, what can i lose from following this regime and seeing if the benzoyl works bearing in mind I've used it before unsuccessfully). I have been astounded and delighted :)

Pros:

reduces pore size, reduces oil, clears skin, smells nice in my opinion.

Cons:

drys skin real bad at first, have to order off line.

Best product ever. Cleared my skin so well. At first i was about to quit on this product after 6 weeks of use. My skin was so dry, and i had scabs from previous dried up acne. I bought jojoba oil and i still was flaky so i bought some Eucerin everyday protection along with CeraVe Lotion and wow! No mo flakes. I get 1 pump of Eucerin a ity bit or CeraVe lotion and a few drops of jojoba oil, best mixture for a moisturizer ever. Should sell it on the market. But what made my skin perfect was hands down the AHA+. After three and 1/2 weeks my skin was perfect. So smooth and soft. I still have a little discoloration but AHA+ fading it nicely. It took 8 weeks for my skin to get really clear from the BP but its probably because i didnt stop wearing make up during the regimen. HTH

Pros:

Great product, cheap (compared to others).... thanks Dan!

Cons:

None.

I've been following the acne.org regimen for two weeks, previously using the Neutrogena On-The-Spot cream. A few days ago I purchased Dan's product to test it out; a great decision, I must say. Neutrogena gets hard to rub around on your after some time, and gives your face a tinge of white whereas Dan's product rubs on clear and is easy to move around on your face. There is no undesirable fragrance, unlike Neutrogena, which I very much enjoy. Plus, I'm not exactly sure why, but I find I don't even need to moisturize after I apply this product. By the way, I'm having great success with the regimen, and I have tried many many different antibiotics, creams, gels, foams, etc etc. I also have moderate-to-severe acne. I highly recommend it!

Pros:

Severely reduces acne, is very affordable, and is easy to order online

Cons:

Does not stop all acne, does little on already existing pimples, is excessively drying, is very time consuming (the regimen takes about half an hour twice daily), and bleaches everything-I have spent lots of money replacing things this product ruined

This product does make a difference on your acne - but the numerous drawbacks may not be worth the limited results. It took about two months for my skin to be able to tolerate the two pumps of product reccommended in the regimen. Even after a year and a half of usage, I still need go through 16 oz of moisturizer a month to control the dryness and flaking. Warning: If you are going to try this product, be soo careful with this stuff. Pin all your hair back before every application, or the front of your hair will start to turn blonde. After application, throroughly wash your hands and dry completely with a white towel, and remember not to pull any clothes over your head. Switch to white sheets and pillowcases, or they will become bleached. Verdict: This is a good product, but I personally, do not find it worth the hassle.

Pros:

reduces acne by making it go away faster, helps prevent some new pimples from coming up

Cons:

made my pores larger and slowed the healing time of acne scars (I have asian skin; hyperpigmentation is inevitable for me). didn't prevent/help lessen hormonal breakouts. felt very heavy on my skin. did not absorb well into skin. dependent on it.

During initial two weeks, my skin was very red, chapped, and dry. It was a little embarrassing, but I persevered. My skin did improve after a few weeks, but the regimen did little to prevent my hormonal acne. Prior to using BP, my skin healed relatively quickly (2 weeks after pimple, scar would be gone) and acne scars were not a major issue. However, after starting BP, my skin healed much much slower (now scars remain from a month ago). Application of the regimen was unpleasant as well; the BP and cetaphil moisturizer felt very heavy&dirty on my skin. I read an article and did some research online about whether long term use of BP is bad for the skin, and I discovered that it is. After that, i stopped using BP altogether. As some forum members also mentioned, my skin grew dependent on BP so after I stopped, my skin got progressively worse. Do NOT use this! Puts you in a kind of loose-loose situation :/

Pros:

Really helps for people with minor to moderately severe acne. Having only 2.5% BP really helps, and doesn't dry skin as badly as the now standard 10% BP.

Cons:

Maybe mix the lotion with it, maybe not, I don't know.

I've used this product for 2 years and haven't developed the slightest semblance of a tolerance to it. It continues to do the job I expect it to. Just plain, simple 2.5% BP; it lasts a long time and gets the job done. Oh, and no annoying scent.

Pros:

a little goes a long way, clears up acne pretty quick

Cons:

dries out skin, pretty pricey

I've been using this regimen for almost a week now & it's working fairly well. My acne has been looking a bit better. The BP dries out the skin a bit.. around my mouth but I use the AHA as a moisturizer so it never stays so dry. I think people with moderate acne should try this, you'll definitely see improvements like I have ( though sometimes it mostly depends on your skin )
July 17, 2009

Pros:

I've used this product for a couple years now and I have never gone back to anything else. Treats acne fairly quickly. Doesn't dry skin out too much. I know I can count on this product whenever I encounter a minor breakout. No scent what so ever.

Cons:

This product is slightly overpriced compared to when I first started buying it. The design of the bottle could use a little work but then again I'm not purchasing it for the bottle's design.

I've recommended the "Treatment" to several family members who have acne problems. I swear by this stuff and never plan on changing my current skin regimen. I am looking forward to trying other products from Acne.org!!!

Pros:

Great price for the amount of product you receive. I have only had 2 pimples since I started using it 2 months ago vs 10 a week.

Cons:

I've had an outbreak of whiteheads. I don't understand why I've been getting those.

I like this product better than any other acne medications I've used including Proactive (which didn't work at all for me). I would like to know why I'm breaking out with whiteheads vs pimples.
