Very effective
Tea tree oil is a natural, cheap, and effective treatment for acne. It helped clear up my mild acne marvelously, maybe not so much my really severe acne, but I am still a big believer in tea tree oil. Makes my skin feel great and smooth. It's the perfect addition to any acne regimen. For people with sensitive skin this might not be best, not straight at least. For those with very sensitive skin I would suggest diluting it. It will still be very effective. This is one of the best acne treatments I have ever used, and I have spent hundreds of dollars on acne medications, from drugstore to high end products. Before going out there and spending over $100 on an acne treatment, give tea tree oil a shot.

Pros:

Heals existing pimples quickly
Clean feeling

Cons:

Smelly

I first started using Trader Joe's tea tree oil all over my face only to realize that it made my face a little red. I then only used it as a spot treatment and found great success. It dries existing pimples quickly and just flakes off. It isn't ideal for wearing under makeup, so I suggest using this as a night time treatment. You get used to the smell, but it'll always be there when you first apply it.

Pros:

Less acne
No pain, itching, peeling
No sensitivity to light

Bottom line, tree tea oil on acne works. I was sick of all the medications my dermatologist put me on, so I went online trying to find all natural help. I bought it, tried it, and now after just a week my face looks a lot better. I use Yes To Tomatoes to cleanse, witch hazel to tone, and tea tree oil (straight from the bottle.) I know you are supposed to dilute, but I want the full strength help. It'll burn your eyes and kill that nasty acne.

Pros:

- clears up acne like no other treatment!

Cons:

- smells a bit strong
- can dry out your skin if you use more than 3 times a week.

I wish i had known about Tea tree oil when i was in high school. I'm 25 and have been battling with cystic acne ever since i was 12. I finally found that tea tree oil combined with regular exfoliation is the cure for my acne. My skin has never looked this good! Ritual: I exfoliate only twice a week. I use all natural exfoliator (corn powder). I use it in the shower but don't scrub too hard. Just enough to get the dead skin off. And about once a week i use tea tree oil (use more often if you have more breakout- no more than once a day, 7 times a week). After washing my face, I rub on 3 drops of Tea tree oil onto my damp skin. Let it dry. Rinse once with water water then twice with cold water to close pores. Then moisturize. For added effect, don't rinse off the tea tree oil just skip to moisturize. Hope it helps!! Good luck

Pros:

Very effective with regular use.
Doesn't over-dry skin.
Invigorating scent (to me!)
Affordable.

Cons:

Some may find the smell off-putting.
Not great as a spot treatment.

I use the whole Tea Tree line from the Body Shop, and it's worked wonders for me. But I'm going to say this above all else: Unless you have very oily skin, DON'T USE IT. Drier skin seems to be more sensitive to TTO than, say, my own. (As proven by my friend who decided to use it when she had a bad breakout...) Otherwise, if you have oily, very acne-prone skin, it's wonderful. Just don't expect a "miracle overnight" result. It won't happen.

Pros:

natural, availability, clean feeling

Cons:

price

I have been using tea tree oil for about 4 weeks now, and its awesome. BP was just too harsh on my skin and instead decided to give TTO a try. After a week i noticed its powers on the pimples that i had. Some say that it burns, but to me its more like an "Icy" feeling that goes away quickly. I very much like that feeling on my skin because i know that it is working. I haven't had such smooth & clear looking skin since Junior High!!! Regimen: I use it 2 - 3X a day. I add some drops to my gel cleanser and massage my face. Pat dry. I use Witch Hazel as a toner. Finally, i again add some drops to my moisturizer and off i go. Bonus: Try using it with Aloe Vera Gel. No itchy, redness, or flaky skin. Soft, smooth, even toned 8 )

Pros:

Drys up pimples and cysts overnight
The nasty redness is gone overnight

Cons:

I can't go near my siblings when I put it on. My room has a funky smell and I just started washing my pillow every Friday.

I have used Acutane, prescription drugs, prescription gels/creams, antibiotic pills, Neutragena, Clear and Clean. all that OTC feces and just made my face even worst. Oh I forgot I also used Proactive for about a whole year and I never saw the results I am seeing with Tea Tree Oil Tea Tree Oil really works. I have extremely severe ACNE and this product is the only one that has ever work for me and I have had acne since I was 12 years old, I am now 20. I used this Tea Tree Oil since Dec. 1 and I am very happy with the result, I still have a bit of pimples but they will be gone in 1-2 days. Try it!! IT REALLY WORKS!!!!!!

avocado oil + tea tree oil = miracle!
I have been using 25% strength TTO and it's working wonders. I have a problem with overdrying and used to do avocado masks to keep my skin moisturized '" so when I saw avocado oil right next to the tea tree at Target, I thought- okay, it's an unconventional carrier oil, but I bet it will work- I was right!!!! My method for cleansing is essentially based on the oil cleansing method: I dilute 5ml TTO for every 15 ml Avocado Oil, which is known for being moisturizing. I steam my face over just boiled water to open the pores. I the massage about 5 ml of my oil mixture onto my face for about 2 minutes. I then exfoliate with sugar (the oil prevents the skin from tearing during this process!) and use a really hot washcloth to steam the remaining oil off my face. My skin feels soft at the end, and moisturized without feeling greasy. If you have a problem with overdrying I highly recommend this method- my acne improves significantly overnight! Literally just the other night as I was going through my ritual my giant angry pimple on my forehead was much calmer after just rinsing off- not to mention the next day! And I usually suffer from redness right after cleansing! I do this once a day before bed. It is a process but so far in my experience it is worth it! I am 23 and still struggling with acne, and I am getting married soon so this started as a last ditch effort to battle acne and turned into so much more. Very happy.

Miracle juice!
I had just got my nosed pierced in July and it was fine for about a month and a half. Late august I developed a bump literally right on my nose piercing which could sometimes be called a keloid. Tried everything from sea salt soaks, to creams and syrums to get rid of this horrible bump but nothing worked as great as I thought it would. Finally I heard of tea tree oil, bought it an organic shop down the street yesterday, worked like a charm. The bump went from ginormous to nearly gone. Also cleared up most of my acne scars. I definitely recommend this product! Hope this helped! Xoxo
