Tea tree oil is defined by international standard ISO 4730 (2004) (“Oil of Melaleuca, Terpinen-4-ol type”), which specifies levels of 15 components, which are needed to define the oil as “tea tree oil.”

Among over 98 compounds contained in the oil, terpinen-4-ol is responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity.

Pros:

cheap, easy to find

Cons:

harsh and smells bloody awful

I've actually switched from TTO to manuka oil (look it up), doesn't dry as much and has hardly any foul smell. I added the manuka oil to my jojoba oil too so I'm sure that matters. I do however use dr bonners tto soap to wash with 2x a day. It's not perfect yet but it is improving after about a week.

Pros:

It makes pimples smaller and dries out some nasty ones

Cons:

the smell but after a while u get used to u

ive only been using this for a few weeks i was so desperate and i can honestly say ive seen somewhat of a difference i put it on my face when i get out of the shower. it hasnt dried out my skin b/c i use a daily face lotion works great im hoping it works even better within the next few days

Pros:

Cleared up my skin perfectly.

Cons:

Funky smell that takes some getting use to.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! I read online about a study that said that young boys who are routinely exposed to products that contain tea tree (even small amounts like in shampoos or soaps) can develope breasts because tea tree has estrogen mimicers. I guess that this product would be great for girls but it did clear up my skin when I used it. I diluted it in jojoba oil which made my skin super soft.

Antifungal treatment for seborrheic dermatitis
I found tea tree oil to be a great antifungal treatment because it helps fight the fungus. It can smell a little off putting and the less is more definitely rings true in this case. Other than that I always make sure to keep a bottle of this around in case I need it.

Still new to this product, but very happy so far

Pros:

clears and tightens pores
brings pimples to a head quickly
leaves skin feeling smoother and healthier

Cons:

strong smell
irritating/drying for a bit after application

I have tried several topical creams and oral antibiotics over the years with little to no significant improvement in controlling my acne. I started a natural approach to prevention and treatment and one of the components of that has been trying tea tree oil for topical treatment. I am very satisfied with the condition of my skin after about two weeks of this product. I have not had any major breakouts, and the ones I had, have been clearing up nicely with no scarring. My skin feels smoother and healthier. I have no idea whether or not this product is my miracle solution, but so far it's been a great alternative to expensive creams. I know that in studies it has been compared to the effectiveness of 5% salicylic acid but I personally think it's easier on the skin and more effective so far.

Pros:

-Dries up pimples
-My mom said my face looks clearer...hope she didn't jink that!
-Easy to apply for me.
-One drop will work for your whole face!
LISTENING TO KISS YOU INSIDE OUT ONCE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons:

-Smells a bit bad for me but because it's all natural I don't mind it! :>)

I am using Thursday Plantation ALL NATURAL tea tree oil and it has almost been a week and there are small results bit by bit, but it takes 2 weeks for any product for your health and body to work so you'll have to be patient... Check out The Outsiders book and the movie and trust me ladies, you will fall in love with Sodapop Curtis...so hot!!!!!!!!

Pros:

-One of the most effective spot treatment
-Shrinks pimples
-Works really fast (you can see a difference in 30 mins for new spots!)
-Cheap if you buy it online, like on ebay. $10 is for 100ml!

Cons:

-Your acne can become resistant
-Drying
-Doesn't PREVENT acne...
-The smell

Used to use tea tree oil toner from the body shop, it worked for a few months then I'm guessing my acne became resistant, so I stopped. That was 2 years ago. Now, I use 100% tea tree oil as a spot treatment just 2-3 times per day, but only when necessary! I'm hoping that if I use it at full strength and only on individual pimples, my acne won't become resistant... It can be drying, but I have oily skin and haven't had any problems yet, if you have dry or sensitive skin I would be more careful.

Pros:

Cheap at 4 quid, redness dies down quickly

Cons:

smell i suppose but its ok

get some if you have a spot breakout

Pros:

It made my cystic zits go down and cleared up my skin really well.

Cons:

A bit pricey and smells bad, but who cares.

Pros:

You can feel it work with this powerful burn, its fun.
I use it straight from the bottle with a cotton bud but you should be aware that you may need to dilute. so far im at the flaking stage and this is the first week so it moves at a decent pace.

Cons:

the smell, fine if you're not going anywhere but a little obvious if you are.

try it, its working for me, none of this body shop crap, go to a specialist health shop.
