Pros:

It takes away the redness quick! Supresses the oils. The supply lasts a long time.

Cons:

Alot of skin peeling where the acne was. Nothing a good moisturizer can't fix. Rippens the acne a bit slow.

I'm using (25) steivmacin mild 0.01%14% Gel. I hope this helps you find it, it says it on the lable. Bottom line is, expect some burning it's worth it. It only happens when you apply it. When it dries it's like a facial mask, if you smile, you'll tear it appart. That's why you only apply it at bedtime! You'll wake up and half of it or most of will be flaking off your face. It's a good thing! Wash it off with warm water. Pat it dry. The redness disapears fast. You'll notice it right away. Within a week you'll notice a really big change. 2 weeks, almost all the white heads are dry. (I have a white head problem) you can pop them. The only really bad thing about this is...if you stop, you're doomed. Everything comes back like that. You can't really break the cycle. Just one annoying thing I don't like about this product is this...it actually if you use it longterm...brings out more acne. NOBODY likes that. But it sure gets ride of alot of crap from your face. All the future pimples.

Pros:

Burns and kills bacteria of existing pimples.
Free with certian health plans

Cons:

Drys and burns skin
causes flakes on visable skin
only works in the beggining

I certainly dislike this product. It worked and got rid of a few pimples in the beggining, but hasn't done much at all. Basically all this product does is burn and dry out your skin, while burning very small and few pimples along the way. When it burns the pimples, it leaves scars and dark marks. I've used this product for abo0ut 5 months now, and my acne has improved by like, 20%. (I have very sensetive&pale skin- I am 1/4 albino- so maybe it is my skin, after all everyone is different.) So, I say TRY the product at least, and see what it does.

Pros:

wow this stuff works!!!!!
good for people with oily skin esp. of indian descent or mixed white

Cons:

takes a while to work, like 2 months, i was ready to give up but like my dermatologist told me, after 2 months my face started clearing up rapidly

it can make you a little dry so make sure to moisturise adequately

makes your skin clear! occasional pimples but no big red ones

Pros:

Inexpensive, only needs to be applied at night-time, seems effective.

Cons:

There is an initial break-out/flare-up which is harsh.
Dries out your skin and makes it flake at first, but only for a week or so.

Definitely worth trying.

Pros:

my skin is no longer oily,
my face has cleared up

Cons:

your face feels like its getting tighter,
and sometimes a slight bit of discomfort.
but its not unbarable, its not even bad

every kinda of medication or gels/cream will probably have a side effect, tighting and the occasional burning last no more then 20-30 seconds, you skin feels better overall. its a great product

Pros:

Works quickly to attack new pimples

Cons:

Dryness
Stinging upon application

I have been using this product for 2 weeks and so far love it! I used to get mad break outs right around my "time-of-month" and after using this for only 2 weeks even through my "time-of-month" have been quite pimple free, I only got 2 pimples and they went away after 1 night! I use the regular formula, I read on here that it is much easier to apply if you wash your face then leave it a little damp as well as your hands. It spreads much easier this way and you also don't use as much product. It does sting a little when I apply it but it doesn't bother me enough to stop using it. I cleanse my face with regular hand soap at night then apply. In the morning I wash my face with Clinique face lotion, extra mild. Then when I have a shower I exfoliate with Clinique 7 Day scrub cream, it's very gentle and I find it is effective in removing the flakes. I finish up with Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisterizer. My skin has never been so soft!

Pros:

-clears up acne (even cystic acne)
-is cheap (less cheap for me cuz I don't have insurance)
-only needs to be applied overnight

Cons:

-i found stievamycin regular very drying and it made my skin flaky
(stievamycin forte is much better and doesn't make skin flaky)
-takes 6-8 weeks before you see any real improvement

Do not use oil/heavy day creams - during the day, apply an oil-free moisturizer (i use alba organics oil-free moisturizer). I use alba's ph balanced cleanser and a kosmea cloth to gently exfoliate and my skin has improved considerably! I use to have really painful cystic acne but now i only have 1 or 2 active pimples and the marks have faded alot! apply every night, eat well, wash your hands before touching your skin and you should be on your way to beautiful skin once again~!

Pros:

-Good if used as spot treatment only
-Good if combined with tetracycline
-Good if used by someone who moisturizes their skin

Cons:

-Can cause flaking

Stievamycin can be quite helpful in combination with tetracycline. However, you must only use it as a spot treatment before bed. Do not be tempted to use large globs of it, or your skin will peel. However, if used sparingly, it can dry out red spots, and when you moisturize your skin in the morning, nobody will even notice that there was ever dryness there. I must add that if you are worried about moisturizer causing your face to break out, then don't use it every day, and limit your stievamycin use accordingly. But I would use both in conjunction, and I do NOT recommend drying your face out-- try to use a moisturizer.
