Pros:

This medication worked really well for me in the beginning...it took away the redness and eliminated breakouts

Cons:

loses effectiveness over time

If you have mild to moderate acne this should work well for you in combination with an oral antibiotic and mild face wash. At first it was fabulous and eliminated breakouts entirely. Now I feel that my skin has become immune to the antibiotic so its time to change my regimen. Good luck everyone

Pros:

Initially this product worked great. I use it along with Differin Gel and Metro Gel for Acne Rosacea.

Cons:

I believe I have developed a resistance to it after many years (about 6) of use. I've begun seeking other treatments.

To help clear up acne - this is a great product and I would highly recommend it...To keep up the "clear skin" results, not so much. It is quite a let down to begin experiencing all of the acne again.

Pros:

cheap, works relatively quickly, doesn't irritate skin, is tinted so actually covers red marks

Cons:

smells terrible, dried out my skin

this stuff reduced the size of some big cysts within just a few days and i was really impressed. i couldn't give it a five because i've only been using it about a week, but this week i've seen more improvement on my face than i did during a month and a half of over-the-counter products. the only downside is that it has kind of a smoky smell, and whenever i put it on i would keep thinking "is something burning?"

Pros:

dries minor pimples fast!!when i used acne aid cleansing bar last night, 5 small zits immediately healed in the morning...cheap too!

Cons:

dries the skin, takes time before big cysts diminish in size and in number

it works, really...you just need a good moisturizer plus the patience to wait for the big cysts to begone.sometimes itchy too. how ever, small zits dry fast, however, it leaves a black/dark brown scar....

Pros:

1. It works. 2. Completely nonirritating.

Cons:

Only available by prescription

I'm in my mid-40's and still plagued by adult acne as well as seborrheaic dermatitis (really bad dandruff). In the past, I've used benzoyl peroxide (discolors my clothes, not particularly effective, drying); salicylic acid in alcohol (rebound oiliness of the skin); retin-A (a low concentration gel worked for many years, but when I started back on it again as a cream, my skin became sensitive to it. Now, even a small quantity causes itching, redness, swelling, pain, and increased friability of the skin). In addition, I finally determined after a number of years that my ketoconazole shampoo for the seborrhoea was aggravating the acne. The dermatologist my doctor referred me to prescribed Klaron lotion, since it is good for both acne and seborrhoea. Wow! It's completely nonirritating, nonstaining, nongreasy - and I can see results in less than 24 hours. I use it sporadically, several times a week. I've gone from routinely having 10-15 pimples in various stages, to 1-2 at most, an

Pros:

Quickly dries up existing acne and kicks in to prevent new breakouts. At most, waiting to see if it works might take up to 4 weeks.

Cons:

Might dry out skin initially. The smell isn't pleasant but dissapates quickly.

When other treatments like Benzaclin stopped working for me and even trying things like Differin - this worked great and cleared up my breakouts quickly. I do have to use more moisturizer each day but it is worth it.

Pros:

it controls oil better than anything i've ever tried and it's started clearing up my breakouts.

Cons:

it's sort of drying to my skin and because there's color to it, it stays on my dry spots and my face looks kind of splotchy

i've had oily skin for a long time and it's really embarrassing. i'm soo happy that i have finally found something that works for me! i'm also using differin gel along with it so that may be the cause of the dryness, seeing as everyone reported none. i have really sensitive skin though. i will definitely keep using it in though and see if it completely clears my skin.

Pros:

It is clear so I can use durning the day under make-up. There is no smell. Doesn't dry my skin. I can tell already that it making huge difference.

Cons:

I haven't been using too long to find any cons yet. I'm just hoping I don't become immune and/or resistant to it as it is an antibiotic

My medical wouldn't pay for Klaron, so I payed full price out of pocket--$138 dollars. However, the bottle is very large and you only need a nickle size amount to spread all over your face. I really like this stuff so far. I would do just about anything to get clear skin, so I actually didn't mind paying the amount I did as I can tell it is doing wonders in only a week!

Pros:

Great stuff. Seems to be working. Using it with Differin & Monodox.

Cons:

Don't know which prescription is doing it, but face is dry and sunburnt easily in 10 minutes.

Get it if you need it.

Pros:

wow this stuff was amazing and my skin was clear in two weeks! my oil was gone, my pores were clear, i was so happy until week 3.

Cons:

i'm highly allergic

i started getting sick and really dizzy and nauseated after week 2. so i went to the doctor because i couldn't even get out of bed. she said i had a sinus infection and a viral infection, so i stopped taking the pill for a week and tried a different antibiotic. when i stopped using that, i went back to my sulfa pill and i had an allergic reaction. i ended up passed out at school about an hour later and they rushed me to the hospital. that thing nearly killed me. :( this pill is amazing, it SUCKS that i'm allergic. :(
