Pros:

Excellent topical solution - seen much better results than almost all other topical creams including Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid.

-Leave skin feeling VERY clean
-Significantly reduces inflammation from papules/pustules/cysts
-New acne breakouts are much less severe than previously
-Cleared up a good deal of redness as well

Cons:

-I haven't stopped using it since I started and I'm not sure if acne will come back, but it is certainly keeping it under significant control

I first started on Sodium Sulfacetamide about 3-4 weeks ago as prescribed by my dermatologist. Specifically, she prescribed me Prascion cleansing wipes (used 2x a day, AM & PM). I was prescribed this in conjunction with Aczone, a sulfide cream. The results so far have been fantastic. I've suffered with moderate cystic facial and back acne since 15/16 years old (I'm now 22), and I've seen a very large reduction in the inflammation on my back and face. While I still do get small breakouts, the severity is far less worse than it used to be and the inflammation is also greatly diminished. I have tried a ton of different topical creams and this is truly the only one I've used where I've had fairly consistent results so far. Plus, it is affordable with insurance (wipes only cost me $10.00 at Walgreens). Highly recommended for anyone with light to even moderately severe acne as another solution is you haven't had any success with any other creams or other oral medications. Much better solution than Accutane without any of the awful side effects (and probably much healthier for your body). I highly recommend!

Pros:

No peeling, itching, etc. A great alternative to oral antibiotics!

Cons:

Did not eliminate acne completely. There was an initial breakout period where things got worse but thats the way it goes...

This is a GREAT product. I dont want to jinx myself by saying so (because then I think somehow it will stop working) but its really helped me. I had a sudden break out of cystic acne at 27 and I didnt even want to leave the house. The first doctor I went to rudely asserted that my skin would never clear up without antibiotics and a retinoid. I am really hesitant to take oral antibiotics so I went to another doctor. This combined with a 4% BP wash has really helped my skin. I still get about 1 zit a week but Im fine with that compared to what it was. Doctor just prescribed me a 5% BP wash instead and thinks this will get everything under control. Heres hoping!

Pros:

Really good this stuff works!! I have been using it with Epiduo & Solodyn for almost 2 weeks and the results are amazing!! I used to have about 12 pimples (more new ones everyday!) now I have about 3 with no new ones! Even the dark spots are fading!

Cons:

I had some drying for about a week & 1/2, but the dryness is mostly gone now. Especially if you moisturize, the dryness isn't a problem. I don't really even notice a sulfur smell at all. And it's prescription.

This stuff is great!!! I had no side effects and my acne started clearing up almost immediately! It's a miracle lol because I have had acne for a good 2 years and nothing OTC worked for me! The only downfall would be it could be exspensive, but my family's insurance covered it.

Pros:

It works wonderfully!
Slight sulfer smell, but it doesn't linger

Cons:

Prescription only
Expensive without insurance

I've had acne for years, along with Rosacea, so my skin is very sensitive to scrubs, etc. I am so amazed at how well this works - i'm finally happy with my skin for the first time in a long while. Tip: the form i use is on packaged cleansing cloths, and i cut them in quarters so they last longer and place the unused pieces back in the pkg until ready to use. Even the 1/4 size has plenty of cleanser on it.

Pros:

Clear, no smell, not drying or irritating

Cons:

Expensive because of my new insurance :(

This under my makeup along with Differin Gel .3% were the only 2 treatments that really kept my skin clear. I eventually stopped using this thinking it didn't do much and have been on Ziana gel. However, Ziana gel is awful so I'm going back to what worked best.

Pros:

Doesn't irritate my very sensitive skin very much at all (and EVERYTHING else does)

Cons:

Not 100% effective, expensive (costs me over $60 for the generic, even with insurance!)

As far as topicals go, this is one of the best I've tried. I have been taking it for about 14 weeks for my mild to moderate inflammatory acne. (I went through a round of accutane in 1995 and again in 2003, both for severe cystic acne and the acne was starting to rear it's head again last summer 2008. So, accutane was not a cure-all for me, and at 35 years old, I am so, SO tired of dealing this this. Anyway...) It is gentle and does not tear my very sensitive, dry skin up like retinoids and BP do. It is not 100% effective - even after all these weeks, I still get one or two bright red pimples a week. They heal within two to three days, but this has not been the magical cure-all for me. Still, I dread the day it stops being as effective. I'm already looking forward to the next treatment option because I know it's only a matter of time...until then, I'm pretty happy with this treatment. I recommend it to anyone, especially to those who have very sensitive skin like me.

Pros:

dries minor pimples fast!!when i used acne aid cleansing bar last night, 5 small zits immediately healed in the morning...cheap too!

Cons:

dries the skin, takes time before big cysts diminish in size and in number

it works, really...you just need a good moisturizer plus the patience to wait for the big cysts to begone.sometimes itchy too. how ever, small zits dry fast, however, it leaves a black/dark brown scar....

Pros:

Cleans up all forms of acne - really the only thing i've tried (which is a lot!) that works great for preventing my occasional humongo cysts.

Cons:

Price. Doesn't work very well as a wash, very little foaming action going on. I like the smell, yeah I said it.

I've used the 10%/5% Wash for a few years, am just getting off of it. Stuff worked great for me, for quite awhile. Only gripe is the washing/foaming agent is pretty much non-existent. Great for people who just don't have much luck/success with Benzoyl Peroxide, or the joke that is Salicylic Acid

Pros:

1. It works. 2. Completely nonirritating.

Cons:

Only available by prescription

I'm in my mid-40's and still plagued by adult acne as well as seborrheaic dermatitis (really bad dandruff). In the past, I've used benzoyl peroxide (discolors my clothes, not particularly effective, drying); salicylic acid in alcohol (rebound oiliness of the skin); retin-A (a low concentration gel worked for many years, but when I started back on it again as a cream, my skin became sensitive to it. Now, even a small quantity causes itching, redness, swelling, pain, and increased friability of the skin). In addition, I finally determined after a number of years that my ketoconazole shampoo for the seborrhoea was aggravating the acne. The dermatologist my doctor referred me to prescribed Klaron lotion, since it is good for both acne and seborrhoea. Wow! It's completely nonirritating, nonstaining, nongreasy - and I can see results in less than 24 hours. I use it sporadically, several times a week. I've gone from routinely having 10-15 pimples in various stages, to 1-2 at most, an
