Plexion is back.
For those that remember it was discontinued a couple of years ago. I've just got my prescription from my doctor. The pharmacy had to order it. 20 bucks co-pay. They have a new website Plexion-info.

Pros:

Suphera (generic of Plexion) smells great and is a very easy, once-a-day treatment. Keeps skin feeling clean and oil free all day. Doesn't burn or irritate my face in any way. Also, because it contains no bezoyl peroxide, clothing doesn't stain.

Cons:

None.

This is an amazing medication and I highly recommend it to anyone who has had trouble with benzoyl peroxide based medication or if you have sensitive skin. My acne is caused by shaving and I've had very few issues since using Suphera. On another note, I've read several reviews that say this medication is being used in conjunction with other meds. This could be a reason for not seeing results. Too much medication can dry out and irritate the skin. Unless you have very severe acne, a single prescription strength treatment should present good results.

Pros:

Works wonders on rosacia.

Cons:

None...just keep it away from your eyes.

I suffered from rosacia my entire adult life: red, itchy and scaly skin. Tried everything, only steroids worked. And, not for long. Plexion has been a miracle, finally have normal skin "just like everyone else." I can't recommend it enough.

Cloths are best for acne spots
Where are the cleaning cloths? I started laser treatments several years ago but stopped because they were expensive. I had dozens of towels left over. It was then I realized it was the Plexion towels, not the laser treatments, that was clearing the spots on my face. I searched high and low for them and my doctors had never heard of them. Then internet quality increased and I discovered they were discontinued. I sure hope they brought back the cleansing cloths. The medication plus the abrasiveness of the cloths help to start fading my spots.

Pros:

I was given a tube of plexion to try. After the first use, I noticed my face to feel cleaner, but there was no immediate improvement. After three days of use, there was some peeling and dryness, and I noticed there were no new beakouts, just healing of the acne that was already there. After six days, I stopped using it for three days to see if there was any "after effect" and I can honestly say my skin is 100% zit free. I am going to continue using it every other day. Leave it on for 5 min.

Cons:

The brown color is kind of a turn off. I
Didnt notice any smell.

I recommend it. Works waaaay better than proactive.

Miracle cleanser!

Pros:

Works amazingly
Easy to use and no side effects
Missing a dose on occasion has no negative effects

Cons:

You become immune to it after 5-10 years
Expensive but worth every penny

My acne began in high school and over the counter medications didn't really work for me, so I suffered from moderate to severe acne, definitely affecting my self-esteem in those critical years. Finally, in college I was prescribed Plexion cleanser and it worked miracles for me. My skin became clear and beautiful pretty quickly and one cleanser would last me 6 months, so I didnt mind forking out the money for the prescription, even though I didnt have insurance. Unfortunately, 8-10 years later this cleanser stopped working, but for the time it worked, which was a very long time, it was amazing!

Pros:

I have used this product for ~5 years and it's the best stuff going. It consistently keeps my face clear. I consider PMS a different story, but even then, my face doesn't break out THAT badly.

Cons:

It is expensive, even with insurance. I do wish some long-term studies could be done to ensure that there are no other ancillary health impacts from using this for a long time.

I recommend it because it really works. My only issue is the unknown regarding any potential long-term health impacts.

Pros:

Awesome... cleared my skin up in about 1 day: I hope this keeps working too because I am getting married in August. I don't have BAD ACNE.. just a few stubborn pimples... and I'm so happy I got this product. I'm using Finacea gel as well at night

Cons:

Can dry my face out a little. But I think it's because I am using the Finacea gel as well. I always use the Cetaphil daily lotion for the face. I love Cetaphil too.. it's great and doesn't clog my pores!

This product really works. I used it last year and it cleared up my face. Then I stopped using it and I when I started getting pimples again I went to my doctor. I asked for Plexion and Finacea gel.. both seem to work fantastic. Pimples are so annoying and I really hope my face stays clear for my wedding. I also work out every day and I drink A LOT of water.. AT LEAST 8 glasses a day (depending on your weight). I'm also a vegetarian and I think eating spicy foods can aggravate my skin sometimes. On price paid it's what I paid for both the plexion and the finacea gel.
