Pros:

seemed to work at first

Cons:

SCAM!! irritated my skin. customer service horrible!

I have tried everything to help my acne, proactive, murad, clean and clear, clinique, stidex. They all were a dissapointment. I was so fed up with my acne, and when I saw skin id on tv I got really excited. My mom decided to let my try it. It seemed to work at first, but then it began to irritate my skin and my cystic acne came back. I returned the empty bottles within about 40 days, which cost $8 in shipping. It was extremely hard to find out how to cancel my membership on the skin id website, so I emailed them. I got an email back the next day saying that my membership had been canceled. About a month later, another skin id kit was sent to me, and $50 was charged to my mom's credit card. My mom called the company and they said they didn't understand why we were sent another kit, because they found on their computer that we had cancelled the account. Plus, the original $30 for the trial kit was never put back on my mom's credit card. They said to keep the kit and that they would reimburse the $30, and the $50 (which included the shipping). My mom checked her credit card statement today, and the $30 was credited, but not the full $50 (they didn't give us back the shipping). My mom spent about 20 minutes on the phone with the company and the lady hung up on my mom. She called back and asked for a manager; they lady called her a liar, and told her to calm down. She also said they couldn't reimburse her shipping cost because their "computers were down". This company is a total scam. They are charging us for their mistake. My mom will be calling the BBB. I will never again order anything through mail order. I am currently trying a new skin care kit called "No Zit Sherlock" and it is working beautifully! You don't have to order it on the phone (I found it at sephora).

It smells good and i love the look of it but it does not work at all. my acne went from mild to almost severe. i just kept telling myself it would get better if i stay on it but if you dont see anything in about 2 to 3 months then stop paying and get off it. all the tv stuff does not help go to the Derm. and talk and get something else. i am still string to get something that will help... good luck to everyone.

Pros:

Clears Ance
Moisturizes Skin
Works with the Regimen

Cons:

Had to take the evalution 2 times

It's definitely worth the money. It is personalized for your skin and thats why it works so well. At first, I was hesitant to pay $40 to buy it. But then I realized, "Heck, I'll do anything to get rid of this acne!" So I bought it. When I got it, the bottles were smaller than I imagined but I guess thats good, because before I ran out, it stopped working. I took the evaluation again and it recommended me with new products. I've been re-ordering the same products from Skin iD since then! I love it!

Pros:

Works
Cheaper than most systems
Quick to apply
Easy system to follow

Cons:

It only worked for a few months.
Canceling it is difficult
You should retake the ID every few months
Dried out my skin

It worked for me for about the first three months. Because they base your products on your lifestyle, I read that you should retake the quiz before your next order is submitted. I had some problems with dry skin, and I realized that originally I had put that my skin wasn't sensitive, when it was, so I went through it again, and got a new system. The new system didn't work well. I think I broke out more with the new system than I did before I was using anything. It seemed to me like I couldn't win. If I used the stronger products like they originally suggested, my acne went away, but my skin was really really really dry. The new system for dry, sensitive skin, didn't clear my acne. Because the system changes for everyone, and depends on how correctly you answer the questions, it may work for others, but it didn't work out for me. If you're interested, try it. You set how often you receive new product, so I'd set it to the latest date, until you decide. If you don't like it, cancel it right away. You have to call to cancel the order. I hate phone calls, it's a bit of a phobia for me, so this really proved a challenge.

Pros:

nice smell
the BP cleanser/mask, when used as a mask, feels nice: mask tightens and medicates (mine was 3.5% BP) and seemed to do the trick in toning down really red marks for the following day.

Cons:

The red came back! Overall, skin was dried out at night after treatment. I needed extra moisturizers to keep up with all the medicine. I used Cetaphil to help with the moisturizing at night and Aveneo with SPF 15 for day. I have very fair skin in addition to acne and found that I was burning very easily.

I noticed a slight improvement in new minor blemishes but saw a slight increase in more cyst-like blemishes. This also did nothing for the field of red marks from old acne on my face. In contrast, the sun damage made them worse. My "Skin ID formula" included 07 Cream Cleanser/Mask (3.5% Benzoyl peroxide), 40 Toner (2% Salacylic Acid), and 32 Anti-Acne Treatment 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide). I had a hard time using the "freebie" moisturizer: no SPF and was kind of goopy for me. Seemed to sit on the skin instead of getting absorbed and left me feeling greasy all day. I switched to the Aveeno with SPF 15 to at least give myself some sun protection. For me, just too much BP and chemical. If you have very fair skin, residual acne scaring (I'm 32 and have been suffering on and off since my mid-teens), and are prone to more severe blemishes, then stay away. If you have more mild acne and little red marks, it might work better for you. I had some better luck w/ the drying when I started using Cetaphil as both a "pre-wash" and a light moisturizer at night, but by that point I was pretty fed up with Skin ID. Save your money!

Pros:

Does help clear up acne

Cons:

Probably won't clear up your acne entirely

I've used this for about a year, probably. It does help my face, but it doesn't make my skin completely clear (then again, I have a lot of hyperpigmentation from my acne, so it will be a long time before my face is "clear"). I do still break out every once in a while (not badly compared to some people), but as long as I keep up with doing this twice a day, it helps out a lot and I don't have that many active pimples on my face. Honestly, I'm sure there are better treatments out there, but from what little I've tried for my acne, this has given me the best results. Hence why I give it 4 stars instead of 3 or something. The one thing about this is that if you want to use a lot of the BP cream on your face, you will run out of it before your next shipment (though it doesn't help that my brother uses my BP cream probably). I've had to buy some from a store to last me until the next shipment. $30 is how much I pay every 2-3 months, depending on what I set how often I want to order a new shipment.
