Good for Skin That Doesn't Have Active Acne
I think the problem many people have with this product is that they're using it over active breakouts. The directions say not to use over broken skin. However, as someone who has dealt with cystic acne for many years with very sensitive, very oily skin, this product was great for removing hyperpigmentation. **However**, I waited until after my active acne was cleared up through use of other products before using this one. Don't be scared of using oil on top of your oily skin, I found that it helped me obtain more balanced skin. I also only used this product before bed, after I already cleansed and moisturized. Overall, great product that helped me remove hyperpigmentation and hydrated my rolling acne scars making them less visible.

It's alright.
I used bio oil back in the day on my acne scars and they started to fade within about a week of use. Recently my skin has been going through a breakout period, but has finally cleared up and i've decided to go back onto bio oil to reduce the scarring. I've used it every night for about a week and a half and it hasn't really done much.. or maybe i haven't noticed a change. It also leaves my skin feeling oily, so i would only use this at night time. Also this product isn't known for working 100% for acne scars, mainly it has a high success rate for stretch marks so don't be surprised that it hasn't worked for you.

Pros:

Absorbs quickly, Smells nice, Moisturizes, Definitely improved appearance of skin

Cons:

Might have made me break out, but I have acne anyway...

Ever since becoming pregnant with my first child I have had acne. I had an acne problem in my teen years that was cured with Accutane, but it came back! Changed make up to Bare minerals which helped a little. Changed to the Clinique 3-step skincare treatment for oily/combo which helped a little more. I now use Bio-oil as the 3rd step instead of the dramatically different moisturizer. Every morning and every night. I totally think it works for evening out skin tone, but I've been having breakouts. But I was having them anyway. I'm not sure how it works, but it does warm my skin up when I rub it on, which I took to be one of the oils burning the skin? Not happy with the price, but I am going to try them out on my stretch marks since I have seen an improvement with my acne scarring.

Pros:

I love the way it smells, it absorbs well.
Got it for $5 with a coupon.

Cons:

Doesn't do a thing! Gave me breakouts on the side of my face, I also have two dry patches from it on my forehead, and one on my left cheek.

So I got this about a week ago and I apply it twice a day. It only made me breakout, and dried my skin out (even though I have oily skin). Doesn't do a thing for scars. It might be causing more breakouts because my skin is oily by nature, so applying more oil might cause more acne...who knows. I'll keep using it but now only once a day and we'll see what'll happen. Try it out...won't hurt you!

Pros:

Smells Nice, Fast Acting, Evens Out Skin Tone quickly, Reduces the apperance of scars nicely

Cons:

Causes Acne & spots

If your young and have active acne i reccomend that you do not use it for too long or too much. I Had a small amount of acne that was under control but now its caused a breakout. But I highly reccoment that you use this for scars because i used it for about a day or two and it rapidly faded them :)

Pros:

Moisturizes well
Smells good

Cons:

Doesn't fade blemishes

Bio oil does not work as well as it claims to. It is quite oily and moisturizes the face pretty well, but I did not see an improvement in scar fading at all.

Pros:

It smells really nice, and it seems to be working.

Cons:

After using it for a week, i forgot to put it on one night and i broke out in a tiny rash on my face.

Should try it, its a bit oily but just rub it in. Don't forget to use it cause it might break you out if you dont. And remember good things take time, a month of using it is not going to remove scares that have been there your whole life!
