Bio oil has cleared my skin
I don't have severe acne, but I do suffer from oily skin and I have nasty spots and regularly had more than 5 spots at a time. I first started using this when my sister, who is studying BA cosmetic science at LCoF, wouldn't stop raving about how much it had changed her acne on her face -and her skin was completely clear. So i was sceptical at first about putting an oil on my already oily skin but after a month of using this nightly I was so happy with the results! My skin is clearer, softer and I barely get breakouts (if I do they disapear quicker than they did). Bio oil is proven to be non- comedogenic (which means it won't clog pores) and is also a dry oil so is easily absorbed. The thing I would advice to do would be to make sure you cleanse and moisturise the morning after you apply it and thoroughly cleanse before you apply it! :)

Pros:

Great moisturizer, skin looks great in the morning, dried up my acne first night I used it

Cons:

none yet

I have only had it a couple weeks but LOVE IT I have dry cheeks and oily chin and break out constantly on chin and beside mouth. I was skeptical at first about putting it on the oily spots well cause its oil but when I woke up and the zits were pretty much gone I WAS AMAZED. And my skin looks great. Also I have very sensitive skin on my face almost every lotion burns when I put it on after a shower this stuff actually was soothing!

Pros:

Fades red acne marks
Evens out skin tone
Gives a smoother complexion over time

Cons:

Greasy, but you only need a few drops

I've been using bio oil for a few weeks now and it has improved my acne scarring. I only use it at night after cleansing (I don't use toner) and rub a few drops into my cheeks and problem areas in a circular motion until it's absorbed. Very happy with the results, I'll recommend it for anyone with fair/sensitive skin prone to acne as 'oil dissolves oil'.

This product is great but it isn't made for my skin
It is a great product but only if you don't have an oily skin. I used it for scar treatment. It did help with the scars and my skin felt softer and good but it made my skin to break out. Not being sure about what was causing the break outs at that time, I kept using it for like 2 weeks. What it did to my skin was curing the old scars and giving new pimples. I will just say it is worth giving a try. Everyone is different. I love this product but the breakouts are keeping me from using it, still I am finding a way to make it work out for my skin. I am gonna give it a try again by mixing it with tea tree oil and then using it.

does it work for pitted acne scar?
December 15, 2010

Pros:

looked as though results showed after first night

not as greasy as expected

Cons:

none yet

IT works, hopefully. I have acne scars after the regimen and i only apply to my cheeks where there are acne scars because i dont want breakouts in other areas. i would like to share my way of application because i haven't seen other detailed ones on this site 1. wash your face with exfoliating wash 2. put a couple of drops (3-5) on your palm 3. Dab your other hand's fingers in it and apply to areas affected in a circular motion 4.Keep rubbing until almost all absorbed remember it says keep using for at least Three months, this will be ideal to remove acne scars and uneven skin tone

no
It didn't lighten my scars or stretch marks anything. It's just mineral oil with fragrance. it's not a miracle product like some people make it out to be.waste of money!

good
I have really dry skin and have tried lot's of things to try. I also have a few blemish scars that are so annoying and by the end of the day, even with makeup on they are visible. i had just about given up because nothing seemed to be working when a friend gave me this. i didn't like the idea of putting oil on my face, but i couldn't have been more wrong. After two days my skin was hydrated and healthy my blemish scars are now gone and i like it

Did it get rid of your pimples and blemishes after 2 days
January 2, 2012

Pros:

It got rid of melamasma that I had on my face for 5 years in a week! I use on chest neck
And shoulders where I usually break out and it has cleared that up as well in two weeks. It also has reduced freckles and sun spots on my face in 2 weeks. I would say this is a miracle oil and everyone needs to buy it!!! I tried so many other products and I am so happy to find this one.

Cons:

It is a little oily but I only use at night.

A miracle in a bottle!! But it today!

Pros:

Works for scarring, evens skin complexion, long-lasting, cheap

Cons:

Far too easy to use too much, oily, contain fragrance

Well, first, it's cheap. Now 20 bucks may seems like a lot, but the bottle is so large that it can easily last a year. This is pure oil, so one drop is really all you need, maybe too. I use to have bad acne that as a teen with an immune disorder, turned into horribly discolored, depressed scars. All over my face. I used this for about four months when I was 16 and like it's name, they're no longer visible, and the depressed scars are less noticeable. It is oil though, and can break one out if you have severe acne. I don't have severe acne but it bad in that every pimple I do get, even if it's only once or twice a month turns into a cyst and scars, so that adds up. I recently bought another bottle 3 years later to use on the new scars I've accumulated. Overall, I'd say it's great to use if you aren't prone to bad breakouts and just want to get rid of scars. After all, NO WHERE on the packaging or instructions does it say it's for the treatment of acne skin types.
