Pros:

reduced redness
hydrated my skin
regulated oil
felt great on my face
evened out skin tone
cleared blemishes
helped with acne

Cons:

none

Before bio-oil, I had several problems: My t-zone was excessively oily My chin area and cheeks were dry and flaky Every time I went to take a nap, I'd wake up with several white heads each time After I'd wash and exfoliate my face, my face would be red and my chin area would be especially irritated My skin would not absorb most moisturizers, I believe the cause of my daily white heads were my moisturizers After bio-oil: The first time I used bio-oil, I noticed a difference. It wasn't a significant difference, however, I just noticed how soft my face was. After the first time I used bio-oil, I went to take a nap and I woke to normal, whitehead free skin. Normal meaning there was no excessive oil, nor was there any dryness. I also noticed there was no redness like there usually was. I've been using bio-oil for a month now and I have to say it has helped with my acne. It wasn't, however, the only thing that combated my acne. I think the thing that helped was thorough exfoliation, which I used a neutrogena cleanser for, which helped with the dead skin. Bio-oil helped regulate my skin's oil, which helped my acne. I credit both the neutrogena and bio-oil for improving my skin. I've used everything from proactive to every brand name cleanser available, nothing has worked as well as bio-oil has. I'm very, very grateful for it. Here is a list of improvements bio-oil has done: Normal skin, ie no flakiness on the cheeks/chin area and no oily t-zone. No redness or irritation, my problem areas were around my nose, cheeks, and chin. I wake up to clear skin each day. My chin and cheeks have been prone to acne before bio-oil. No acne flare ups since. I had a large group of small blemishes on my cheeks. They have greatly improved. my regimen: massage face with warm water to open pores apply Neutrogena acne stress control cream wash generously to face then wash off once skin is damp (n

Pros:

well priced
not overly fragranced (natural smell)
doesn't give you that oily look
by the end of the 3 months (which is the minimum you should stay on it) you can see noticeable results
works great as a toner. reduces redness, evens skin tone
you can see improvements on scars and stretch marks
works great on OLD scars too
ingredients are good

Cons:

doesnt prevent/improve acne
doesn't completely make scars disapear (just diminishes/fades them)

If you buy this at Walmart, it is roughly $12 for the 2 fl oz and $20 for the 4.2 fl oz ( i always go with the latter). however, costco just started selling 6.2 fl oz for $21 (good deal!). and the 4.2 fl oz will last you at least 3 months, so i definitely think it's well priced. for those who are worried that it's oily: not so. i have oily skin and the stuff works great. it mosturizes but doesnt give me that shiny look & it has never dried out my skin. (the trick is to use just enough - a little goes a long way- and the more/longer you rub it in, the more it is absorbed and less oily it looks). i've been using this for about 2 years (as a daily mosturizer & scar remover) and i think it works more effectively on stretch marks than scars. i had some stretch marks and i used bio oil on them for about 1-2 months and they're completely gone. on my scars, they're still there but just faded. if you're looking for miracle stuff to make them disappear forever & instantly, this isnt for you. it does make them fade a great amount though acne wise, i have not seen improvents since i started the product. (maybe it has gotten even slightly worse, but i dont know if it's from this product or something else i'm using)

Pros:

It ACTUALLY works.

Cons:

A bit pricey in some places, but worth the money.

Okay so I don't have acne, but I used it all over my face because I had some scars that were quite dark - plus like many black women, I have a slightly un-even skin tone under my eyes. I have noticed that the more often I have used it, the less foundation or concealer I have need. It actually works. I use it on my neck too and I have noticed the difference there too. *If you want to use it on your face, for better results, EXFOLIATE FIRST and put on a generous amount before bed and massage it in. It makes your skin soft and evens out the surface. REMEMBER - MASSAGE IT IN so it gets deep into your skin - it shouldn't look oily. If it does, rub it in more.

Pros:

makes skin softer
fades acne scars
a little goes a long way

Cons:

slow to absorb
a little expensive

This product is really working for me. I have olive to medium brown skin, and light acne.. so when I get acne scars, I REALLY get acne scars...the trick is to get small drops on your fingers and then really rub it into your skin....you have to really rub in circles over your scar, until it has almost absorbed...if you do not rub it into your skin then you are just placing it onto the top layer, which actually doesnt do anything What I do is first gently exfoliate the skin, rinse with cold water, and then aplly small amounts of bio oil onto my fingers. Then i gently rub in circles onto my skin (your skin should turn a little bit pink from the heat and circulation) and then just do that until it has all absorbed if you leave some of the oil on your skin then yes, it will break you out. Just use a little and remember to RUB IT ALL IN!

Pros:

-Makes your skin soft, looks clean after use.
-Inexpensive
-Smells good
-Clears up redness on face

Cons:

-Takes awhile to absorb.

I have cycstic acne and have since I was young. My break outs are not as bad as they used to be but I have a lot of scaring especailly on a certain side of my face. A friend of mine told me to try it, it worked great for her but her acne is not as severe as mine. So far it has really helped with the redness of my blemishes, scarring looks a lot lighter and more even! It does make me break out once in awhile, only a pimple here and there. I would defenitly recommend it!

Pros:

Makes my skin feel heavenly
I look radiant and glowy (not oil once it sets in)
I personally love the smell of this product
Redness faded
Current breakouts dried out!
AFTER ONE USE!

Cons:

None for me as of yet!

Keep in mind that I do have fairly dry skin, I do not know how it would affect oily/combination skin types. Although I have dry skin, I suffer from pretty bad breakouts on my chin, but this product even helped those! I admit I was a bit weary before applying this, worrying that it might only worsen my breakouts. But nope! I am truly impressed. Two thumbs waaaay up!

Broke me out like crazy
This thing clogged my pores like crazy. After a week of using Bio Oil, my face looked like a large pepperoni pizza and I usually don't break out like that. I only get a pimple or two every week or so. It's been over two years since I tried it and I felt like it was my duty to prevent people from buying it -- especially if you have oily/acne prone skin. AVOID at all costs!

Pros:

Remove Old / New Scars, Very Easy to use, Evens out Uneven Skin Tone, Aging Skin, & help with Dehydrated Skins. Works on all type of Skins. Cheap, and a little goes along way:).

Cons:

None

I just started using this Bio oil and its shown some improvements. I'm hoping that 1 week into this will work so that i can make a nice appearance to a Family trip by next Friday, but i have a strong feeling that this will work. I have look at many other reviews online and there all shown positive's. so i hope that you can try to use it. It's basically simple to use and you just have to apply it on the face and body 2x's a day for 3 months for an excellent result.
