Pros:

Cheap! And seems to be gentle without overly drying. I like the simplicity of the routine.

Cons:

Perhaps a tiny bit drying? We'll see after a few more uses.

I hope the Sensitive Skin Dove Bar works! I've tried many things. And now, I'm 34 with wrinkles and acne??!!! Annoying. I crave simplicity in my beauty routines (and life) and I think I just may be overdrying my skin with the 4+ steps in the Dermalogica line. Hopefully this with a light moisteriser will be enough to cool things down. I've been fighting acne my entire life!!!

Pros:

I've had acne before just an unusal breakout and remember 10 years ago Dove helped. Now I have it again from running, after using lots of other stuff I opted to give Dove another try.Altho not all cleard up after 4 days,it comes recommended!

Cons:

No cons as yet, I dont expect a quick fix, but gona stick with it for now! Its the only product that has made a real difference.

Oh Please try it! Its so cheap lots would think its not posible to do the trick. At 33 I did not see this coming, and I've got it bad, but Dove Soap has given me hope! Advise always use a toner regardless of what you trying, the cleaners more than not leave skin dry, however toner works out the PH balance of the skin, do not complete the routine without it!

Pros:

Its the only thing that helped! It make my skin look alot better too in general.

Cons:

Not 100 %, Somtimes got a wierd pimple somwere and it looked even more akward only having one pimple rather then 20

I used this 2 montsh ago to help acne and it worked i swtiched to irory after and started breaking out again latly now I know why. Proactive dose not work. it clogs pors with all that crap. MAKE SURE YOU USED A FREE TOWLE to dry with and Change your pillow case nightly! stay away from alcohal ( drinks )... ITs a killer with acne.

Pros:

Does a better job than any of the 15-20 big and small name brands I've tried! Really cheap, doesn't dry out too much. you should definately try it.

Cons:

Its not a miracle cure, ie it doesn't really keep me completely clear skinned... but it does a good job.

Having had acne for 13 years now... I think the science around the subject is flawed. These companies find ingredients which supposedly kill the acne bacteria or exfoliate the skin or sooth the skin, etc. In the end, most of them end up CONTRIBUTING to the acne and do more harm than good! Dove soap is the only one that I've found that doesn't. It cleans your face, but doesn't actively tackle the acne nor does it make it worse. However, since most other acne treatments are as bad for acne as they are good... Dove leads the pack. Nothing really even comes close in my (13 year!) experience. If you haven't tried it, you really should give it a go for 3-4 weeks at least. For $2-3 what can go wrong?

Pros:

Lathers really well, washes off clean. Convenient to use the same bar soap that sits in your shower anyways for an all body and facial cleanser. 6 bars for $8 is cheap.

Cons:

Smell is pretty blah, but it's unscented so who cares.

I have tried proactiv, natures cure, minocycline, tetracycline, accutane (2X), all sorts of store bought face washes, strict diets, you name it for the last nine years, and the only thing that worked temporarily was the accutane. But without a daily regimen, its hard to maintain that. My acne is pretty mild, but some of the washes and stuff gave me flare ups, and basically each day was a toss up for me. Or they made my skin so tight and dry or sensitive to sun that i was limited to what i enjoyed doing. I read the reviews on here for this stuff and figured what the heck. Been using it for about a week and my skin is now flawless. I would never believe it unless i took a chance and tried it, but it really works incredible. Use it once in the morning and night, following it up with clean and clear soft spf15 face moisturizer at night. Waking up each day to clear, soft, healthy looking skin! TRY IT!

Pros:

Leaves face clean and soft. Execellent if you have roseacea and medium acne. Know my face is nearly flawless. Always use a light

Cons:

There are no cons for me. i have tried everything under the sun from medical cleanses to high street ones and they all did nothing major.

I tried everything from BP to medical cleanses to mircofibre clothes, you name it in the UK and I have tried. Being from the UK it is hard to get products. Remember key fault that alot of people fail to do is also to use conditioner and moisturise with jojoba oil you hair and scalp. Always cleanse after conditioning or washing hair and moisturise scalp before going to sleep.

Pros:

Helped to clear up spots on my chest within a week. My usual soap was making me broke out. I changed to dove and it cleared up!

Cons:

I've read somewhere that it clogs pores.

It definitely worked on my chest!

Pros:

good smell, lathery :)

Cons:

a little drying..

well, when i first bought it and used it, it dried out my skin pretty bad... my skin is pretty dry, that's why.. well, i've tried proactiv, neutregina, noxema, clean and clear, clearisel.. nothing really worked for me.. i mean, for a week or two, then it went back to the same problem.. i dont have huge pimples or huge breakouts.. but, it bothers me.. a lot. well, i used dove (even though my brother told me not to). one of my friends told me she used it and it worked on her acne.. she had tried proactiv, too.. dove is really helping my skin.. it's getting a LOT better, and it's a lot brighter now.. you just need a little moisturizer.. :)

Pros:

None, just a gentle soap.

Cons:

None.

If you really want treat acne skin, go buy Cetaphil. It cost a lot more than Dove. Dove is just a bar soap. I would not use on my face. It is cheap stuff from Wal-mart.
