Love it
Gives my skin a fresh feeling after washing my face. Over the year I've tried lots of harsh chemicals that just made my pimples worse and dried it out. Dove on the other hand doesn't dry out your skin and doesn't contain any harsh chemicals like other face washes do. Go dove!! 🎉🎉

Pros:

Gentle and softens skin.

Cons:

I have to use with Epsom salts. It does not work alone to heal acne.

I have had severe hormonal acne since August 2012 due to a hormonal imbalance I'm working through. I have always had breakouts ever since I was 12, but lately it has been just unsightly. I can barely look my husband in the eyes because I feel so ugly. I have tried everything to sooth my acne ...I even resorted to getting proactive, but nothing has worked. I like Dan's products, but the AHA breaks me out and the wash does nothing for me. I have spent so much money trying every product on the market to aleast reduce the large, sore bumps on my jaw and neck. One day I got tired of my acne cleanser doing nothing, but irritating my skin so I grab my dove sensitive skin soap bar to wash my face since it has worked before my hormonal acne appeared. Then I saw my Epsom salts by the bathtub and thought ...Why not? I cannot believe the results in just a week. I look in the mirror and cry because it's so simple and inexpensive. My face is badly scared, but the blackheads/ small bumps are GONE and the large bumps are fading. I cannot believe it. My current reg: Dove mixed with Epsom as a wash, Dickinson's pore toner used with a cotton ball, and Dan's topical treatment ...I'm still looking for a good moisturizer. Right now I'm just using the rest of my proactive spf until I can find one I like, but my skin looks amazing compared to just a few weeks ago.

Not for oily or acne prone skin
This soap was recommend to me after a bout of severe winter itch. It was recommended to use fragrance free products. My skin is too sensitive to use any of the regular Dove beauty bars or body washes so i was a little hesitant to use this. I normally use the Caress bar. My winter itch stopped immediatly after using this soap. It was so moisturing i didnt even need to apply lotion after bathing. But after a couple of weeks into using it i started to break out with huge acne cysts on my upper arms, back and face. I noticed that it was making me super oily thus clogging my pores. Im going back to my Caress.

AVOID! Pore clogging ingredients!
Do not use regular soap, let alone Dove, on your face...and maybe even on other parts of your body. Unfortunately, I found out too late that it has sodium tallowate and coconut acids, which leave a thick film and are extremely pore clogging. I switched because salicylic acid was just irritating me too much, but sadly this soap ended up just causing more issues. While my skin's underlying texture isn't red and bumpy anymore, I now have actual zits in places I never even did. My forehead is usually 95% clear; I used this soap for maybe 2 days at the most, twice a day, and now I have four very painful, itchy WHITEHEADS. I'm so embarrassed, I cannot even cover them and they're quite red, nor do I want to pop them and cause scars. The bar also gave me a few deep clogs on the bottom half of my face that's acne-prone, where I've been clear. Just avoid this, it's not a cheap cure to fix your acne!

Pros:

removes makeup
doesnt strip skin
pH balanced
moisturizing
cheap
easily avaliable
can use it all over body, no need for seperate face/body acne washes

Cons:

none!

Compared to cetaphil gentle skin cleanser this is very slightly less gentle but it removes makeup and dead flaky skin better but it still leaves your natural oils intact.

Pros:

Non-Irritating
Inexpensive
Non-drying
Easy to use

Cons:

Does not prevent acne

It's extremely mild and a great way of cleansing your face. However, for acne, it's more geared toward people who are on topically applied acne medications (e.g. retinoids, spot treatments). This is so you can gently clean your face before applying the medication. It's a very basic cleanser just like Cetaphil. When used alone, it won't help prevent acne, but it's certainly a trust-worthy product when it comes to no irritation! Great for people with sunburn, eczema, etc.

it's good buuuuutttttt........
I always use dove either for face or body. I like that it's moisturizing and cheap compared to other products. The only thing that I don't like is, it doesn't completely removes make-up. It's very gentle to the skin but as a woman who uses make-up, it's important to have it all removed before going to bed to avoid break outs. Either way, I will use this in the morning and Ivory soap for my face at night since it removes the make-up better.

Pros:

Gentle
Leaves skin feeling smooth
Treats and prevents breakouts

Cons:

A little drying

Let me tell you, this product is a breath of fresh air. After using harsh multi-step acne products all through high school, it feels so nice to wash my face with this simple, yet effective soap. This works for me because I am well passed puberty and just need something simple to wash my face with to keep it clean. I doubt it will work for people with severe acne. But give it a try! I love it.

Pros:

Doesnt burn my skin after use. My face use to burn and be very tight after using irish spring. Makes skin feel soft for a while. doesnt irritate my skin what so ever. I use to get irritation from almost every soap i used for my face.

Cons:

Your face feel a little bit tight after a few minutes, but not that much.

I just started using this soap 2 days ago and i have not seen any improvement in my acne. Which is understandable, i will check back here in a month so give another review. But im a 15 year old teenager so i dont expect to see any change in my ance. But this soap did do what i bought it for : " to not irritate and burn and dry out my skin" I give it 10 out of 10 for that :D ill check back in a month to tell you guys if my acne improved

Gentle, and non irritating for acne prone skin
My dermatologist recommended this bar for my face, as well as a 10 percent benzoyl peroxide wash. I use this once a day at night every two days, with my benzoyl wash in between days, and it is wonderfully creamy, gentle, scentless and non drying! Maybe not that effective on its own for acne, but very good for sensitive skin or to be used with another cleanser. LOVE :D
