BP does work, but I hate using it
This is just a maximum strength (10%) Benzoyl Peroxide cream. BP does work to clear my small bump acne, although I hate using it and hate that my clean skin relies on it so heavily. It's really like the only topical cream that actually works. However, I always try to find a store brand BP (like up & up at Target, or Kroger has a good one) that are just as good but cheaper than the name brand BP creams. but ACTUALLY, I've recently tried to stop using BP, and am attempting to replace it with natural treatments. Right now I'm using melaleuca and lavendar essential oils and for the first time in forever (like 15 years!!!!) I feel like my skin can be clear WITHOUT benzoyl peroxide and harsh acne treatments. The best part is I know exactly what I am putting on my face, and I know it's all good stuff. Let me know if you want more information or an update on how my new routine is going!

good
My skin is oily and acne prone. I don't use this as a spot treatment but for my whole face.It got rid of my pimples in about 3 days and the redness went away! Only use once a day because it can be harsh on very sensitive skin.

like it
I like it a lot. It really helps me control my acne and I feel a lot more secure because whenever I feel a pimple coming up, I just apply this gel and just over night the pimple is almost completely gone. this is def worth buying and works very well.

Works well for my hormonal acne
I get mild to moderate hormonal breakouts below my nose and around my chin. I apply a really thin layer of this to the areas I normally get acne before I go to bed each night. The prevalence of my acne has definitely decreased overtime (probably from 7 pimples to 2/month). I have been using this for about three months now. If you aren't used to using benzoyl peroxide, I recommend starting at 2.5 or 5% and working your way up, as it can be very drying to the skin. I use a moisturizer in the morning to combat this.

Warning! - Persa-Gel 10 is Strong Medicine. Apply sparingly.
I have used Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 for over a decade for occasional acne flare ups. Apply Persa-Gel 10 sparingly and don't apply to sensitive parts of your face. I liberally applied this medicine to my chin this past Friday in an effort to slow down an acne breakout. Well I put too much on because I chemically burned my chin. It took 4 days for my chin to finally heal by applying Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer to it 3 to 4 times a day. If you have sensitive skin test spot areas with only a little of the product or just use Persa-Gel 5 which is less harsh. I will continue to use PG10 but only on less sensitive parts of my face.

confused
this stuff almost works too well. it drys up the pimple over night, but if even a tiny bit had moved off the pimple over night, i would have a red peeling chemical burn on my face the next morning.

Pros:

Dries up pimples fast!
Doesn't dry out skin
Helps pimples heal faster than any other spot treatment I've tried

Cons:

Sometimes can purge skin from being so strong, which can cause other pimples. But that's usually only once in a blue moon.
Has seemed to stop working after three years :(
Sometimes ineffective on cysts

This is the best spot treatment I've tried! I have used so many OTC treatments, home remedies, and a couple prescription treatments, and this has been the most effective. I have oily skin that can't afford to be stripped or will obviously overproduce oils! This does not leave me flaky, and dries pimples out without being damaging to my skin. I am sad that lately it hasn't really been helping my pimples. I haven't broken out this bad in years, but I currently have 13 active pimples on one side of my face. I think my Garnier bb cream is to blame, but that's a whole different review. I recommend this to anyone that struggles with whiteheads, or hormonal acne.

Pros:

Gets rid of breakouts fast

Cons:

Made skin dry and flaky and leaves behind a scar

I was recommended to use this product the night before i started college because i wanted to get rid of my acne fast. When i woke up the next morning most of the pimples had gone down in size. Overall i like the product just make sure you moisturize!
