Pros:

Feels clean.

Cons:

My face has broken out very badly for the first time in months since I started using this product. Dry skin and peeling, which I haven't had this badly using any other BP product.

I'm definitely going to keep using it and hope that my skin starts to react better to the gel. I've only been using it for a few days and I'm hoping that this is my skin getting used to the product or purging. Just stopped using Benzaclin and started Persa-Gel. I would definitely give the product a try and stick with it for a few months before making any final decisions.

Pros:

Nice Packaging, doesn't make existing pimples larger or hurt....

Cons:

I don't use this daily so it hasn't really done a whole lot for me,but it did make a pimple alittle smaller and anythings better than making ir bigger or worse....

With consistency this could be a valuable acne fighter,so maybe I'll try it and give it another review....

Pros:

It does a good job clearing up existing pimples.

Cons:

Does not prevent new pimples from coming out. Dries the skin a little but you can solve that with some good skin moisturizer.

It's worth it for spot treatments but not for prevention.

Pros:

Did not work. Made my skin a lot worse.

Cons:

Completely burned my skin off.

I used this in a few areas on my face. One or two big pimples, and then some smaller ones that were just starting to form. It completely dried out my whole face, and I was peeling for days after I used it. There was one big pimple that I had on my cheek, and after applying the persa gel, that pimple swelled to three times the size. It seemed like it was swelling and filling up with something. Then the next day, my skin completely peeled off in that area. It was red, raw skin and it burned and didn't heal for at least 3 weeks. It looked like I had a chemical burn there, it was horrible and took so long to heal. It still isn't completely gone and it's been almost a month. I would defnitely not recommend this product for people with sensitive skin.

Pros:

There are none

Cons:

it didn't do ANYTHING

i don't know if i'm using it wrong or it just stinks. I clean my face, dry it off, then apply a thin layer directly to my bumps(not white-heads, just red acne bumps). this didn't work, so i tried to put a thicker layer on, didn't work. i did this every night(kept on until morning) for a week or more and nothing happened at all. i didn't even feel like it was working. maybe its my skin type. my acne isn't bad, it only breaks out like once every two months on my forehead or chin.i'm not sure what the deal is. any advice??? it seems to work very well for most of the people on here, why not me??????

Pros:

within 3 days of use, you can already see some dramatic changes on your face. works really well.

Cons:

burns/stings REALLY BAD. leaves residue while applying moisturizer. can dry out your skin.

on the first few days of your usage of this product, you may experience the side effects of BP. this includes redness, burning, itching, and drying. but don't get discouraged by these. it works really well. you just have to endure the pain on the first few days you use this product.

Pros:

Will dry out small pimples virtually overnight

Cons:

This is personal experience, but I used this product once a day for a week and my face started getting red patches and skin started severely peeling and itching. Reduced application to once every other day but still no change, extreme dryness.

When I used this product on my skin it didn't agree with me, but that not saying it doesn't work. I think I'm just sensitive to high doses of benzoyl peroxide because even when using a moisturizer it didn't help with the redness and itching. I reduced usage to just being a spot treatment but still the redness and irritation continued, switched to a 2.5% bp treatment and that worked for me. So if you're not sensitive to the product it may work for you, but if you start getting redness and severe peeling I would discontinue usage because you may be sensitive to the product. I guess you never really know until you try.

Pros:

Nothing really

Cons:

Makes small zits bigger

I think that it may be too highly concentrated in benzoyl peroxide that it irritates my skin a little too much. I put it on a small zit that was forming and now it's huge haha. It sucks. I'll be sure not to use this stuff anymore. It's all good it wasn't expensive. Maybe this stuff just isn't for me.
August 29, 2008

Pros:

Dries up the zit

Cons:

Dries up the skin, doesn't really work for me.

Everyone says it works for them, but it hasn't done anything for me. It's probably my skin type, my sister uses it and it works for her.
