It's ok
It's better than no treatment at all, but it would be one of my last choices. It's very harsh, drying, and makes me peel a lot...much more so than any other Benzoyl Peroxide product (I've tried every one at some point over the decades....I'll save you the trouble, go with Dan's!). The texture of the C&C Persa Gel is just weird. It cracks, flakes, and wears horribly under makeup. Once it even left me with this bad chemical burn look across my face. Sorry, can't recommend this at all. It's not the fact that it's 10%. Even though I prefer 2.5% because it wrks just as well for me, I am able to use other 10% formulations with no problems at all (like Clearasil Ultra and Clearasil Vanishing Cream...those are my next choicees after Dan's).

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

-stains fabric
-dries skin

I used this sometimes for breakouts when I was a teenager but it didn't seem to help my acne any more than 5% bp. It may have even made it worse because it dried out my skin and caused my skin to produce more oil in reaction to the dry/flakiness.

Caused burning, redness and stinging within the first few hours of application. I appear to be allergic to 10% BP but not 2.5%. If you begin having any of these symptoms, I recommend discontinuing use!

Pros:

makes acne smaller the first use
cheap
brings to head

Cons:

doesnt fully get rid of pimple
dries white
drying
bleaches clothes and pillows

I decided to buy this after my face broke out into very serious acne.... i picked it up for 8.00 at my local drug store. The first night i used it my face became very dry and peely , but i was happy that my pimples were shrinking but it left weird red pitted marks on my face..... After the 4th week of use all the pimples it had shrunk came back again with a vengance.since im brown complexion i cannot use this in the day time because it leaves a white residue on my skin no matter how much i rub it in or use moisturizer. This may work for someone with the occasional break out , but for someone with real tough acne like cysts or anything bigger than a light pimple ...i wont suggest it.... i took this to my new derm and she basically shook her head and asked me did i want her to dispose of it for me,told me it would of never worked on my skin because it is also filled with cheap ingridients.... you get what you pay for.

Pros:

Cons:

It dries out skin severly, makes the blemish red, and burns like all get out...

Don't use it...it killed my skin...there are other bp's out there that does just as good w/o the probs that this has.

Pros:

Reduced the size of my zit slightly

Cons:

Made the areas I applied it very red and irritated
Good price
Not good for people with even slightly sensitive skin

I had heard good things on here about BP being a good spot treatment so I thought I would try it. I only get a few zits here and there but they are usually big and gross so I wanted to try something new. My advice is to make sure your skin won't react poorly to this strong of a product. I know I have slightly sensitive skin but I thought it would be ok. It burned my skin literally and made it very red and did nothing for the zit itself. I wouldn't self perscribe this stuff, ask a derm first. Be careful. I recommonend using apple cider vinegar for acne. I didn't believe it either, but I tried it and my face has cleared up a great deal... only downside... it smells and can take a little while to work. If you are patient and stick to it, it really does work and it is super inexpensive.

Pros:

It didn't dry my skin out too much like most other products.

Cons:

It made my acne way worse.

I first started getting acne on my chin and nose when I was nine years old, so my mom got me this product. I used it consistently for about seven or eight months and it made my skin look and feel terrible. Eventually, acne spread all over my face and it is still there now. I'm thirteen now.

Pros:

None

Cons:

causes redness and itching when I woke up the next morning it affected my cheeks but does not improve my skin in anyway when apply elsewhere.

I used this product for one week straight trying to get rid of my pimples but doesnt work until I apply it on my cheeks the redness starts to appear. This product really stinks. Sad to say is I used to be a fan of clean and clear until I used this product. The old products were better but not this crap. I even called the company and they couldnt give me any advice in getting rid of my problem except they told me to call my doctor.
