Diane-35 : Oral Contraceptive

I was on Diane-35 for 3 months before I went back to my doctor and asked to be swapped onto Yasmine. It worked for my skin, which continued to clear up once I had changed onto Yaz. However, it made me awfully moody. I would cry over nothing and I was never in a good mood, I felt awful all the time. My boobs definitely grew a lot! But then again, I gained a bit of weight all over.

It is a wonderful pill to treat acne. However, it is not a cure. It just solves the problem when you are on it, but when you come off you end up same as before if not worse. The worst thing about this pill is that when you quit, you get the worst withdrawl effects. For me... I had severe hair loss. I lost almost 60% of my hair. Its been 6 months and still is falling out. Totally not worth it. There are many many women that this happens too, so you just have to weigh your options.

I dunno I might give it a few months.. Ive only been on it a month, but im worried that these symptoms will persist.. My acne has not been getting better (but that maybe because of constant stress). Dont know what to do really!?!

Even though it cleared my acne i would never ever take it again or recommend it to anyone. I stopped taking it, it made me feel so sick it was not worth it. It was a temporary cure for my acne but the brown patches on my face are permanent.

i have acne problem more than 2 years. i tried every dermathologic product except roacuttane because i dont want to use that horrible product. also i do not have any hormonal problem. doctor suggested me this product. i'm using it about 2.5 months but i didn't see any positive effects. my face still producing and producing painful acnes. i dont know if i'm being impatient or not. bu now i'm so hopeless about this product. what should i do ? should i wait for the 3rd month to end or quit ?

I have been on & off this for 7 years now, it DOES make you gain weight. And quite rapidly. I am naturally aeound 43-44kg but whilst on it will fluctuate up 2-3kgs (on a small person is quite noticeable). The lack of sex drive is the one that has really affected my relationship. My boyfriend is wonderful & we try hard but most of the time it's just not happening. I will credit this drug though for clearing up the bout of cystitis I had. I have PCOS & the first symptom was after going 18years without even one pimple suddenly in 2 weeks I had dozens of cysts.... diane took a while but got rid of them, everytime I had gone off it they have come back. So side effects will actually not deter me, i will stay on it until a better alternative is developed

i have only been using this product for 1 month, i switched to it because i was using doxycycline and that was making me feel really sick. i am so self concious about my skin that i feel it is the only thing people can see when they look at me i just really hope that this product will work for me because i don't want to have to keep applying all of the different creams and goos to my skin that have a minimal effect. i want clear skin more than anything.

i was prescribed this pill by my dermatologist after suffering from acne caused by the use of another medication. i have been on diane 35 for 2 and a half months and it has been hell although i remain positive so start seeing results after the 3 months mark. i havnt had any serious side effects only feeling emotional and moody at times but i think that is all to do with the fact that i am having trouble coping with the way i look. i read these reviews all the time and i think people need to give the medication time to work, i know how horrible it is to deal with having acne but just try to remain positive. its a waiting game and there is nothing more you can do. remember to do only what the doctor or dermatologist has told your to and not try too many things at once out of desperation. i am so desperate to finally see results, hopefully in the next couple of weeks i should!!!

My face got a lot of scaring,redness and pimples,can anyone tell me what product should i use together with taking diane,because now i only using water to wash my face and moisturaz sometime.i hope u guys will tell me what u guys are using to recover and had such a smooth skin.thank you

Learn from my mistake and do not use this product for reasons of vanity. It will work while you are on it but the longer term effects of using synthetic hormones are not worth it. It affects the mood, the complexion, the hair, the list goes on. The anxiety I have felt going off this product is not worth it. Anxiety from hormone fluctuations, as well as having to watch my hair fall out in strands for 4 months now, having it noticeably thinner, seeing my skin become oily and pimply. It is not worth it! I have done a lot of reading on hormonal balance since stopping this product and have started seeing a naturopathic doctor to assist in the transition.
