Pros:

Beautiful clear skin, lighter pain free period, no diahorrea, fewer breakouts

Cons:

Bouts of deppression, vaginal dryness, lethargy, moodswings

I have been on Diane 35 for a year and and two months. I have seen remarkable improvement on my skin and kind finally feel alive while having a period. Only thing is I am now hearing of the side effects such as "clots" that worry me. If it were not for those I'd stay on it.

Pros:

cleared skin

Cons:

depression, high anxiety, low sex drive

Cleared my skin, with the exception of a mild break out the week before my period. I went off of it after 4years of being on it because the mood swings where too much to handle.

Pros:

Clear skin yeah!

Cons:

moody, my feet hurt occasionally

I stopped using Diane 35 few months ago after 3 years of use every month. During the period I didn't notice any serious side effects, honestly. I didn't gain any weight, my period was regular (before that I had no period) and my face was perfect!!!! The first month after I stopped taking the pill I got my period (on it's own) and I said "Aleluyah", I'm healed. But now it's all coming back to me again: I don't have period and my face it's starting to break out again. I'm getting upset because I'm 29 years old and I feel like I'm going back in my teenage time!!! I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should go back to Diane 35, but how long will I have to take the pill? All my life?!? And my other even bigger concern, is my period! I don't know if my hormones are in balance now, and will I ever be able to get pregnant? I'm confused....If I call my doctor she may say to take Diane 35 again. My mom thinks it's because I'm stressed out all the time.

Pros:

remarkably clear smooth skin, decreased oil production, lighter periods, fewer breakouts

Cons:

bouts of depression, increased anxiety, disruptive headaches lasting days (even with advil effective when in use but acne can return when you come off the pill. You can't stay on it forever!

I've been suffering from acne for almost 20 years. Before Diane -35, I was on Vitamin A acid (10%) and getting Kenalog Injections (this reduces the swelling and length of time for pimple to go away)Because I was still having an issue with acne, my doctor prescribed Diane 35. It took about 1 month for my body to adjust to it. At the beginning I felt like I was having morning sickness - but that went away after a doctor suggested I take it just before I went to bed. I did notice significant changes after 2 months. Received a lot of compliments - which encouraged me to continue for the 6-9 mths period I was told to take this pill. Unfortunately, throughout this time I experienced many months of depression (more then the normal mood swings women go through every month) I was on edge and snappy at everyone. The headaches have increased to the point that it is intolerable. This pill makes a tremendous difference in your skin. My skin has NEVER been smoother, but side have taken its toll

Pros:

Clearer Skin, birth control

Cons:

I have noticed the heavy legs, which doesnt sound good, other than that, no problems really, except the price compared to other pills is a little high, i pay 47$ a pack, i used to pay 5$ at health unit for Trycyclen

I like what it is doing for my skin, but i know its not good for me, it says right on the pack info, do not use for birth control alone causes blood clots, thats scary

Pros:

Clear skin, regular/light periods.

Cons:

Rashes, Moody, MIGRAINS, sore breasts, lareger breasts, major weight gain (10kg),hairloss, dryness of skin and a major loss of sex drive- justto meantion a few :(

Bottom line, i didn't realise that the pill did this to women..well not until my partner started researching into my incredible loss of sex drive. Then things started to click all thoes rashes, pains and mood swings. Why didn't my doctor warn me??? But then again i find myself wondering if maybe i should deal with these 'symptoms' so i can have great skin and regular periods?! I have also started looking into other forms of contraception only to discover that many of them cause headaches, weight gain and ache...is there no form of contraception that works without these 'symptoms'? Or am i asking too much?
