Pros:

Got rid of all of my acne while I was taking it.

Cons:

Very heavy and extremely painful period (for someone who never had cramps before), weight gain, depression, complete loss of sex drive, pain during sex

Although it got rid of my acne, I would NEVER recommend Diane 35 to anyone. In fact, I have made a point to pass the world along to my friends that it is not a good choice. I'd like to keep the 2 years I was on the pill a distant memory...it was a dark time. I can't remember a day when i didn't cry for no good reason. Before Diane 35, I never had cramps. On Diane 35, they were excrutiating (one month I thought I was having a miscarriage). After a complete loss of sex drive, I decided to stop taking it. It took a good year or so before I felt back to normal. Bottom line, don't risk it.

Pros:

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries a month ago- my body wasnt convertin testosterone into estrogen as should n my period stopped for 3 months. Product corrects this. My skin was always great before so no review for that.

Cons:

Since I've started taking it, I've been urinating way more. I take it about 9 am and for following hours i find myself visiting the rest room even 2 times an hour

Thumbs up for Diane 35 (so far) - it works against the entire polycystic ovaries condition and thats really good. I'm waiting for weight gain though because I'm underweight and would welcome about 30 lbs of healthy weight

Pros:

boobs grew, (but went back to normal once getting off the pill), face cleared up significantly but not 100%

Cons:

more break outs once get off... but cant stay on forever because health risk.

Ive beenon Diane for maybe a year now.. it took like 6 months for any results to show.... i was quite frustrated. my boobs got HUGE out of NOWHERE.. but they have since gone back to normal (*tear! i liked my big boobs)... this is beacuse i suck at taking pills and am really inconsistent with taking it. i know that is bad but im HOPING my inconsistency will help me get off the pill because it is NOT a healthy pill.. blood clots and sh*t can occur....NOT GOOD.

Pros:

Birth control, increased sex drive (ironically, as so many people have found this has decreased)

Cons:

Skin appears to have gotten worse, depression

The doctor told me this would take about 3 months before it began clearing my acne up, I have just passed the 2 month mark so fingers crossed! My skin has actually gotten A LOT worse, I am hoping more than anything this improves soon. Another bad thing is the depression I've been experiencing. I am so determined to wait this out though, I have had friends who have had good experiences with this contraceptive. The increased sex drive has been a plus, but the bad skin is contraindicates this.

Pros:

My acne went away and I used to have bad acne for years.

Cons:

Depression, anxiety and fear of what will happen if I try to come off of it. Can't deal with acne anymore, not in my puberty years and don't want to deal with that.

For acne great it is amazing!

Pros:

Cleared skin, less hair growth

Cons:

Extreme mood swings, depression, weight gain, cellulite, and much more/

I have been taking this pill since 2000 for about 8 years now. It worked well in the beginning, and for the forst 5 years. After about 2005, my dr advised me I should take a break from the pills so that my body does not forget how to produce the hormones that I am taking synthetically. I took a 3 month break, my skin broke out, and hair became oily every day. I had horrible mood swings, crying, upset, headaches, and went to depression and anxiety. My mood swings were so bad it started to affect my marriage. I have now been off the pills for 2 months, and my skin is starting to break out again BUT I feel much much better. I feel happy again, I do not feel sad and upset over every little thing, and I feel much happier, and better overall. I would recommend something else for acne as I spent the last 3 years, extremely unhappy, and sad, and upset, and angry. I did not realise until my mom told me I was not myself anymore, and I didnt think anything was different until NOW and feel

Pros:

Initial help with moderate to severe acne (both face and back)

Cons:

Decreased sex drive, weight gain (25 pounds over 18 months), depression, worse PMS and cramping during menstration, nausea at the start of every month, and hair loss.

I started taking diane a little over a year and a half ago. Initially I felt sick to my stomach every time I would eat, but after 2 months, this subsided. I didnt notice any changes in my acne until about 6 months, and it got better rapidly. Around month 3 I noticed that my appetite was sky high and nothing I did could stop myself from wanting to eat. This has never been a problem for me throughout my life until I started on diane. Month 4 I had gained 25 pounds and no matter what I did(diets excercise) I cannot kick the the extra weight, even to this day. By about month 8 my face was PERFECT. My face stayed great 'til month 12, and then I noticed it starting to worsen. I also noticed around this time severe mood swings were developing and I had weeks of severe depression. My physician figured that I have developed a tolerance to Diane and has now switched me to Yasmin. I think the benefits for acne out weight the weight gain, so I recommend at leats trying it as an option :)

Pros:

Skin is less oily, breasts have enlarged a bit

Cons:

No improvement in skin yet, tender breasts, horrible mood swings when on the placebo pills, reduced sex drive, lethargy

I've been on it for about a month and a half and so far not much has improved. I'm on a 3 month prescription so I'll wait it out and see; if still nothing has happened I'm going to ask my doc to go on something else like Accutane or minomycin. The breast tenderness is not that bad, more of a slight twinge when I take off my bra or feel them with my hands. My skin is not as oily as it was but my acne is still very much there, and I have been getting more painful pimples than I used to. Not sure what to make of it, maybe I just need to stick it out for a while.
