Pros:

clears my hormonal acne (cystic and non cystic)
bigger breasts

Cons:

constantly SPOTTING! I spot like 3 weeks out of the month and just when it stops I start my period.
makes my stomach VERY upset once a month

It's VERY expensive without insurance but besides that and the stomach pains and spotting, it really clears up my face!

Pros:

Weight loss (& no bloating around period), clear skin, no babies!!

Cons:

zero libido (which kinda defeats the purpose of taking birth control!), moodiness/irritability, lack of motivation.

I was on Brenda last year to help clear my skin, which worked but I put on 5 kilos! Doc recommended Yasmin as it helps with fluid retention other pills can cause. It worked great for me, lost the 5 kilos and really cleared up my skin. I went off the pill for most of this year to give my body a break from the hormones but am getting married in Oct so decided to go back onto Yasmin. I have been taking it again for about 3 months now, I have lost around another 3 kilos and my skin is already much better but not completely clear yet. My face is great but still getting breakouts on my back and chest (although MUCH better than before). I hope it will clear it completely cos it did last time I was on it. Hopefully in the next two months my skin will be fixed so i can have clear skin for my wedding!

Pros:

slightly better mood, regular periods, decreased facial hair, less acne

Cons:

nausea, breast tenderness, bloating, slight weight gain (but I love junk food,so...), slight increase in urinating at times (it is a diuretic)

I've been on Yasmin since June 2006. I've read horror stories, but so far, everything's been okay. I hope it'll stay that way. I haven't tried coming off of them yet, so I'm kind of worried when that time comes.

I love it!! I have been extremely happy with Yaz...I have been on it for almost 2 years. So far no problems, I anticipate to stay on Yaz for a long time!!

Pros:

Keeps me from getting pregnant! No negative side effects except for slight breast tendernes. I am sleeping better, waking up easier in the morning and my face is clearer.

Cons:

I have not experienced any real cons!

I read multiple reviews about Yaz on several sites, before I gave it a try. And after reading reviews and blogs, I was pretty scared. The reviews are so mixed with regard to this oral contraceptive. Many women have shared that their experience has been amazing - this birth control has cleared their acne, they lost weight and have shorter periods. Just as many women have shared that they have experienced horrible mood swings, awful break outs and bleeding for months at a time. Like anyone else considering this pill, I was hoping that I would experience the positive effects! So far, so good! Over the past three weeks, my skin is clearer and I have had no weight gain. I also have been sleeping better and I wake up much easier in the morning since taking the pill. I also have had no spotting or bleeding. I cannot wait to see if my pre menstrual symptoms improve and if my periods are lighter.

Cons:

A little nausia for the first month

Yaz is a new form of birth control that is great. I have lost weigth on this kind and have gained at least ten pounds on every other kind I have tried. IT has also cleared up my acne in a relatively short amount of time. My breasts have grown also. LOOOVE it.

Pros:

not had a baby while taking the pill, and my period did get lighter

Cons:

bad moody, bloated belly, gained weight, face seems to be breaking out more

I have been on Yasmin a year or so. Next time I go to the doctor I want to be put on something else. I hate feeling fat all the tome and my face breaking out like this is crazy. And my mood swings is going to end up ruining my relationship.

Pros:

none as of yet

Cons:

larger appetite, feeling lethargic, moodiness, terrible breakouts-mostly cystic, bloating. first week or so bad nausea

i switched to yasmin last year when i came off dianette, my skin was clear on it but i don't know if that's because it was still clear from the dianette. i used it for 3 months then came off it because i felt my body needed a break. about 4 months later my acne came back, gradually getting worse. i decided to go back on yasmin. so far i have been on it a month and my acne is just getting worse. i can't believe how bad it is. the new ones that are coming up are mostly on my cheeks/mouth/jawline, all painful cysts. it's horrible. i also feel lethargic, moody bloated and can't stop eating! almost as if i'm pregnant! as dianette took months to kick in (it eventually cleared my skin wonderfully) and my acne didn't come back while on yasmin (was only on it 3months before) i am going to stick this lot of yasmin out a little longer. i just really hope during this second month it gets better because i feel rubbish! if i didn't have the bad acne i do have, wouldn't go near the pill.not worth it!

Pros:

Great skin, PCOS symptoms under control, a lot less moody.

Cons:

extreme nausea.

I am 18 years old. I have only been using yasmin for about 10 days but its is a lifesaver!! My doctor put me on yasmin for PCOS and so far it is definitely doing its job.The pain and bloating i had in my lower abdominal area has vanished, my skin is awesome,it has never been this good in my life, its usually oily, pimple ridden with huge pores. Im also a lot less moody( to everyone's relief-whew!!) I do have occasional nausea however its got a lot better after the first few days. I tried microgynon before and it wasn't terrible but it definitely wasn't great my skin sucked, i was very nauseous and painfully bloated and my PCOS wasn't any better.I LOVE YASMIN!! will keep you posted..
