Pros:

Worked GREAT for my acne. After a few weeks people commented on how great my skin looked!

Cons:

I felt very sick to my stomach in the mornings because of this pill. After about 5 months of clear skin, it seemed as if my acne was starting to come back

I really loved how quickly it cleared up my acne, but it does make you a little sick in the mornings and your acne may come back a few months down the road. I tried ortho tricyclin lo first and it was HORRIBLE!! It made my acne MUCH worse. Yasmine was WONDERFUL for me!

Pros:

clear skin, mild cramps,

Cons:

rashes on other parts of body i.e. arms, thighs.

I have almost no acne w/ Yaz and my sex drive is still good which certainly did not happen w/ my previous birth control, Kariva. Yes, the skin rashes suck but investing in some hydrocortisone cream makes it bearable. It's better that having bumps on your face.

Pros:

No Pregnancy

Cons:

After a while I started getting cramps again, slight acne, heavy period

For the first year or so I loved it, now i get cramps really bad, and i get acne (which i never had before) right before and after periods. and my periods are a LOT heavier and longer. I havent gotten pregnant though!

Pros:

just spotting, no cramps, breasts seem to be getting bigger afer only 1 month!

Cons:

Very sore breasts, emotional

It's been just over a month, doctor reccomended for a higher sex drive- seems to be working. Sex is more frequent and closer to orgasm, but My boobs are sore as hell and I've grown out of my bras! I've had a few emotional breakdowns where I couldn't stop crying! Not like me at all!

Pros:

Clear skin, regular periods, not pregnant

Cons:

lethargic

I had been on Yasmin for about five years. Prior to yasmin I had trouble with my skin. It cleared my skin up completely. A couple months ago I heard of some side effects of yasmin that causes you to be tired. I decided to switch pills. Now my acne that had been gone for years is back and it's horrible. It's like a bunch of small bumps on your face. I decided to switch back to yasmin and just started today. Hopefully it works again!

Pros:

Great at preventing pregnancy

Cons:

Terribly low libido (almost non-existent), mood swings, depression

Been on Yasmin off and on for the past 2 years. When the depression hit, I thought it was just the stress I was experiencing at work. My dr put me on stress medication and took me off the pill for a few months. Was great during those months, then started the pill again, and depression returned. After reading other reviews, I realised that it is the pill itself. I also thought that stress was the cause of my almost non-existent libido, but I left the job and the situation is still the same. I am currently lookin at other forms of birth control.

Pros:

Cleared up my skin quite well for the months I was on it

Cons:

Terrible mood swings and bouts of depression
Weight gain (only about 3 pounds, but still)
Increase in appetite

I found this to be good at helping clear up my acne... however I still had occasional bad breakouts and usually had at least one spot on my face most of the time. I have come off it now and am looking for other things for acne as I became extremely depressed most of the time whilst on this pill

as a contraception method, it works well... i am baby free! and my skin is smooth and clear, I have no mood swings nor nausea, all normal except that my appetite has increased, i had never eaten so much before! like every half hour id look for something to munch and dramatically i gained 7 kg in 3 months since i started using Yasmin but my doctor switched me to the lowest dose called Loette.. i dont want to end up like a big fattyboomba! otherwise Yasmin is really good and effective on your skin and birth control.

Pros:

not pregnant, acne cleared up, bigger boobs, less cramps, regulated schedule, no mood swings, no weight gain

Cons:

Minimal nausea, I take the pill at 9pm and wake up at about 6am. I have found that if I take it later than 9pm, that it seems to have not run its course yet when I wake up and I feel nauseous.

I am 18 years old and a year ago I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and hated it. It made me breat out really bad and made me have major mood swings. My doctor then put me on Yasmin, I have been on it for almost 5 months now and I love it. My acne flared up for the first 2-3 months but now it's almost perfectly clear. I have experienced no mood swings like before. I have not gained any weight (thank god). If anything, Yasmin has regulated my weight and I have been consistantly 107 pounds. I would reccommend this pill to anyone, but as always it's different for everyone.

Pros:

Minimal side effects (I had terrible side effects on OTC and NuvaRing), no weight gain, nice complexion

Cons:

Broke out first month, but seems to reduce the severity of my already bad breakouts

I finished my first month with disappointment but I am still hopeful that after 4-6 months I will see that improvement that is supposed to happen. I am 23 and have been battling worsening cystic acne since I was 21. Before that I never had these kinds of breakouts so I very much believe it is a hormonal problem. I am hopeful about my next month on Yasmin, but for now I have to say... ladies DO NOT FORSAKE THE WATER. I'm on my no-pill week and I have started drinking 4+ litres of water a day and my skin has cleared and my scars are fading rapidly. This is the longest I have been without a breakout in 2 months. Even though it is embarrassing, I stopped wearing makeup on my skin, and I wear my scar-treatment all day to speed up healing/fading of scars. It is Derma-E Scar Gel. It's an all-natural clear gel that works really well on my acne scars (the dark red spots) but is a little less successful on icepick marks unfortunately. Good luck!!
